anyone's media player automatic closed when playing music using BT? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I use the orignal ROM with my HBH-DS220 BT stereo headset.
When I open the Windows Media Player to playing music via HBH-DS220, I turn off the screen, after about 10 minutes, Windows Media Player will automaic closed everytime.
I try to find the root cause of this issue, but nothing found.
Does anyone has the same issue like mine?

What do you mean by "closed". My understanding is that WMP (and all other apps) continue to run when "closed". You can see this on any of the tabs by pressing on the upper right hand corner which displays a list of currently running apps.

TF3D Music Player - Help!

Hi,
Has anyone figured out how to get the TF3D music player to play all tracks by an artist?
Every time I select an Artist I then have to select an album by them!
I like to play from all albums by an artist.
Driving me mad. Resorted to the dreaded WMP!
And I can only get the scrolling covers (as seen in the videos) to work if I only have one song in each folder, otherwise it seems to scroll through the tracks only... Not importnat to me so not a real worry.
Finally I could only get the main screen to not show "No Music Found" by soft reset. If drilling down, it could see and play the songs but the main screen wouldn't search for them until the reset.
I thought I was quite IT literate (I'm a programmer) but can't figure this app out
Thanks in advance - Adam.
Another cry for help
Unfortunately I don't got solutions for your problems, and might as well add one to the list....
I use a Bluetooth audio adapter to my amplifier in the car to play music from my Daimond. On disconnecting and reconnecting to the audio adapter (when starting the car) from WMP every thing goes well, but with the TF3D music player the audio disappears completely.... eg not from the internal speaker and not through the amplifier. Only solution is to switch on and of my Diamond and manually reconnect the audio adapter _before_ starting to play from TF3D.
Sigh
If anybody got a quicker solution than I found, please....

Is it possible to get rid of the Audio manager?

Hi folks,
I've searched everywhere here and I can't find followig:
How kann I remove/block the Audio Manager?
Many of you will tell I'm not serious, but I can't see it anymore; Ok, it's faster when jumping from an mp3 to another and it's fast to reach and activate, but I use either S2P or WM... The point ist, it gets randmly activated after a call for example, a total pain in... whatever...
Do anyone have a clue, RegKey or cab that could help on this?
Cheers!
PD: IF THERE IS A THREAD ABOUT THIS, please tell me and close this one, I don't wanna spam here, but I really didn't find it!
I would also like to hear if there is a solution to the lil problem of the audio manager randomly turning on after I make a call. Its pretty damn inconvenient..
I use TF3D Config to turn off the [worthless] Music tab. Thereafter I use Pocket Player for my media needs. I never have Audio Manager resuming after a phone call. I may (or may not) have Pocket Player resume after a phone call (configurable).
I believe Pocket Player uses Audio Manager to, well, manage audio. IOW Audio Manager is the backend, controlling the playback, process and Pocket Player (and Windows Media or S2P or the Music tab itself) are front ends. You are runnign the Music tab front end which is resuming playback after the phone call. Disable it and then you should not get that annoying behavior (Unless say WMP, or S2P or whatever is configured to resume after phone call).
No. If you turn off Music TF3D tab, Audio Manager is not used, or loaded by anything.

Click to collapse
Looks like it works! So far, AudioManaging bullcrap! I'll continue the tests, but seems to remain stable! Thx to all for your help, special thanks for defaria!

[Q] Music player

Is there some way to make the music play in random? I hate creating playlists and currently it plays songs in alphabetical order by song title. Also, I used Windows Media Player on the PC to sync songs to the Captivate, but many of the songs did not bring their album art over despite it being in the folder on the PC. Any fix for this? On my Tilt 2 I had a WinMo program that fixed this.
Toggle the 'shuffle' button
Does toggling the "Shuffle" button (on the "Now Playing" screen) not work? It's on the left, just above the progress bar - looks like two arrows crossing over each other.
Got it!. Thanks. Don't know how I missed it before.

[Q] How to stop mic button from starting media player?

I did several searches, but was unable to find an answer to this. I hope one of you can enlighten me
I recently installed the "Listen" app to listen to podcasts. When i plug in the stock headphones that come with the Captivate and then click the mic button on it, it will bring up & control the media player playback instead of Listen. Is there a way to configure the behavior of this button? Is there a way to keep it from bringing up the Media Player app and instead control the Listen app?
Thanks!
I've been having the same issue. I installed winamp, but I get the same thing.
I installed doubleTwist, and it looks like it properly takes over button so that the stock music player app is no longer launched. Does this mean Listen is not doing it right?

[Q] Media Player Issue / Scanner Radio Issue

I recently just rooted my phone, and my friend told me to come to this forum if i had issues. Well, on scanner radio/scanner radio pro there is an issue with the media players. I can select a streaming method, either Android Media Player or Custom player. If i select Android Media player, it takes like 2-3 minutes to connect or never does connect, but when it is connected it stays connected and normally doesn't buffer (which is good). If i select the Custom media player, it connects right away, but constantly keeps buffering after 1-2 minutes of streaming. I would like to use the Android Media player, but i would also like it to connect promptly. When i was running a stock/unrooted phone, the Android Media player would connect right away, and be just fine.
When I emailed the developer for the app to see if it was because there was an issue with the application, all he said was "I don't why the Android player would be taking that long to connect and I don't have any control over its behavior. When you select a scanner from the directory my app tells Android's media player (behind-the-scenes) what URL to connect to to stream audio and then lets the player do its thing, after that point my app only tells the player when to stop or pause the audio."
Does anyone have any ideas or has encountered this problem? Thanks for any help.
Maybe you could try a different ROM? If i remember right, they just released a "stable" stock gingerbread rom for the OG Droid
Where can i find that?
They have the process and the files here:

You'll have to cut/copy/paste the pieces together, I'm not allowed to post to outside forums yet
also, it might be the root causing the problem with the scanner radio application. You could try this with a stock .sbf
