The ATT Tilt Camera - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Since most of the people around me does not carry a tilt/kaiser, I was wondering if the Att Tilt video call works

The AT&T Tilt does not support video calling, nor does AT&T currently support video calling. The only "video calling" AT&T offers is something called Video Sharing, which you can find info and supported devices on AT&T's website. Basically, this is a one way video call: one person records images with their camera, the other person sees the images on their phone. Currently, the Tilt does not support this feature by AT&T. In addition, the AT&T tilt does not have the front-facing camera as the unbranded and worldwide HTC Kaiser has, mainly because AT&T's network cannot support this service yet.

TyTn II video calling on ATT

Has anyone actually tried to make a video call from one unlocked TyTn II to another unlocked TyTn II on ATT? I have read that video calling is disabled on ATT, but this was a while back-- now ATT has "video sharing", which is techically a one-way video call. Would it be possible to make video calls on unlocked TyTn II's now on ATT? Any info anyone has on this would be greatly appreciated.
Tried. No negative. Not working atleast yet
So what if you both were on wifi? How in the world does ATT detect if someone is making a video call on their network or not?
Video Sharing
Anybody been able to use AT&T's Video Sharing over the Tilt in the US?
More on AT&T's Video Sharing: http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=9199

How exactly do you make a video call? Or is that just non-ATT feature?

Thanks....
I really want to have my Tilt as a webcam to sorta stream across the internet or something
no network in the US has 3g video call yet. i believe att is beginning to implement it in some areas but very rare.
the video call is mostly used in europe and china
Partially in the US
AT&T now has Video Sharing (http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=9199), it is a one-way video call, with just a limited number of supported devices.

T-mobile WI-FI Calling

I have searched and can't find anything on this so I ask.
Is there a way to do the WI-FI calling with [email protected] service with the Kaiser/Tilt. I am looking into dumping home phone for the T-mobile service but don't know if it would work like my wife's Blackberry Curve and switch between the WI-FI service at home for Free calling and the normal service.
Be kind if this is posted elsewhere as I probably did not use the proper wording for my searches.
I have done some research and according to UMAtoday the Shadow II has the capability but can't confirm
The Kaiser supports wifi but not UMA which is what T-Mobile uses to do calling by wifi. Since these are not T-Mobile phones, if UMA capability could be enabled by a software change, it has not been done. There are rumors of a 3G US version of the Kaiser coming out, but even then, it may not be possible to enable the hardware to support UMA. Many T-Mobile wifi phones do not support UMA.
I am aware of the issues. I just did not know if the UMA is a Software thing or Hardware. I Suspect it is a software function which means if someone that knows more than I about ROM extracting could most likely get the software. I saw at least 2 devices on the UMA Today site that were Windows Mobile Devices. One is the shadow II and the other was an IPAQ which I suspect is also an HTC device.
the tilt will not work with the t-mobile at home service. In fact, there are only a few phones that will work

...a little problem with the 3G...

....when somebody calls me(with video call) my phone doesn't ring-it only flashes the side lights and the screen lights up-but i can't answer or reject-there's nothing on the screen. When i make a video call-the other side can pick up but it's a regular call(without video) .My "network type" is set to "3G" and HSDPA/HSUPA are enabled.I can't find where is the problem-please help me.
You should say what network you are on. I am on AT&T, for example, and they do not support it. It could be an issue with your provider.
I would be more helpful, but since I can't use video calling I can't give any technical assistance
My service provider is Mtel.I'm sure that they support 3g-because i personally called them to activate the service. So now i'm wondering is there any problem with my phone or is it with the SIM card.
..HELP!..anyone?

AT&T is 3G, but they do NOT do video calling. Contact your provider.
If they do offer video calling it will likely need to be subscribed and paid. The problem is almost undoubtedly not your SIM.
Your dialer on your ROM may not support video calling. If it is not a network thing I would say that is the most likely thing. You could try reverting to standard dialer or trying a new dialer. Also you could try a new ROM that you know supports video calling.
The most likely thing though is that you need to add video calling service to your cell plan.
I've paid and the 3g is activated from my service provider-when i call them for support they say that the problem is not from them-it's all activated.I've updated the firmware to VFE_UK R3AA013 and still no video callig. There 's no 3'rd parity dialer installed.I have "video call" in the menu but still not working. If someone calls me(with a video call)the phone lights just flash and nothing happens-no answer menu, no ringing.
3G is a different service to video calling, you have paid and got 3G but video calling might be extra or not supported.

[Q] 3G Video Call

Does the HTC One support true 3G video call with its dialer app?
Please don't come with suggestions like oovoo, Tango or skype etc.. No SIP, and not through some Internet service. I want true 3G video call where all you need is a 3G line and no 3rd party user account like on Skype and the likes. I prefer making calls (voice and/or video) through the regular 3G phone protocols. I trust my carrier a lot more than I do Microsoft and Google.
The chances are higher that the one you wanna call also has 3G and a 3G phone than that person has Skype or something else.
I had this on my Samsung Galaxy SII. As far as I can see HTC does not support 3G video call in its stock dialer.
