Hey Guys
Do you know if there is a dock for the Focus out there or if the dock for the Galaxy S will work?

lol - that's why I edited my post - I had asked the same question. Turns out it goes in landscape so the plug fits on the side.
This is the only thing I could really find for a car dock
Lego Dock for Focus
One of the guys at Microsoft built this with 100% lego parts. Very cool! At least until a real dock is released. h**p://bit.ly/dnZSCb

Ok, perhaps not 'docks' yet these are viable stands. The one with the adjustable 'gooseneck' is from Wal*Mart in their car accessory section ($8). You can use a section cup only or, in my case due to wood desk, use the included 3M tape 'coaster' that then the suction cup attached to. You WILL have to remove the foam on the inside of the holding 'arms' to make the phone fit. Works great.
The other is a Samsung "Mobile Phone / MP3 Player Desktop Cradle" P/N:ET-CS01SBEGXAR (around $10). On the bottom of this cradle are places to run a cable as needed.
And yes, i know my phone needs cleaning
I can confirm that the Galaxy S dock does work with the focus. I have both phones and becides the camera and outer plastic they seem hardware identical.

That sucks. So no true dock for now. It's one of the few things I miss from my iPhone.

What sucks? He said the Galaxy S dock DOES work.
I went and bought the galaxy s dock today and I can say that it does NOT work with the focus. The connections are in the same spot, but the depth of the connections are off (the dock's connector is deeper than the focus's port).

So, that prevents the Focus from connecting or just doesn't allow it to sit right? If it's just a problem with how it sits, it may be able to be customized. Maybe you could take some pics?

Thanks for the pics. Looking at the pics, I think I could easily modify that to work. Oh well, I'm not really looking for a doc. But, now I almost want one just to modify it! LOL
I have looked at all the docks for the various Galaxy S devices. From what I have seen, I think the Epic 4G dock may just work for us. The Epic 4G has a hardware keyboard and I'm thinking that will locate the microusb connection in a better position to connect with our device.

I totally read that wrong
I'm not much of a modder, so I guess I'll have to wait for a focus dock.
toothpickj, i looked @ a couple of videos for the epic 4g dock and the micro usb connector is a lot higher up the side than w/the galaxy s.
hi everyone
Is there any cover for the NookColor that can do BOTH portrait (at different angles ala the upcoming roocase) and landscape (ala the Sullivan Easel).
thanks
BigMots
Yes, see my thread "Magnetic Magic" in the nook color general forum. I have some pictures attached to the first post, check out solution #2, it just might be what your looking for. Hope it helps.

hi
thanks for those tips, but I really want the NC to be able to stay at angle while being used in landscape (ala iPAD Folio covers which let u type, view media etc in landscape, since all the NC kidsbooks are landscape) and also do what the new rooCase etc can do in portrait mode i.e. be able to keep it at diff angles and ALSO act as a cover, sort of an all in one thing. I don't want to lug around diff covers, stands etc. Integration of features is key.
BigMots
Reviving a nots-so-new thread: apart from Roocase, there's also Sullivan Easel Cover and the Tuff-Luv Tri-Axis Leatherette Case.
Can anyone recommend a small, light, foldable stand with at least 2 angles for movie watching and typing or browsing the web?
Thanks!

I'll second this one. Picked it up for my Xoom last year and it works just as well for my Nexus 7. It's a little awkward to use and charge at the same time (since the wire comes up from the top or side), but given the price, that's just OK by me.
This is what I'm going to buy then. Thanks, guys!
This adjustable one? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008KY50WQ/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
Nah, I think the other one is better. This one looks like a toy, I don't trust its design...

Yeah, that looks really unstable. I'm using arkon, and it works in portrait, which is what I really wanted. I also like that it's fairly compact. -Ara

You know what I'd like to know and haven't seen on any of the reviews? The lowest possible angle, especially on the Nexus 7 which is shorter when propped in landscape mode than the iPads. Can anyone post a screenshot with theirs in this settings? I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

Yep, that's the one I got - LOVE IT!
I bought a Bookgem for use with my Nexus 7, Kindle Touch and paper books. You can flip it over to get different viewing angles in portrait and landscape orientations. Works a treat in landscape and taking notes. Fits the small light foldable requirements too.

That is one cool invention, but what about those spring legs, aren't they too long for the Nexus 7 bezel when in landscape mode? Could you post a screenshot or something?

No, the spring legs aren't too long, the rubber tips extend about a half centimeter onto the screen but nothing too bad. Here you go with pic (click through for bigger)

That is a portrait mode charging dock, not landscape one - there is a billion of them out there and it's nothing like the 2 docks I posted, which are landscape mode docks. Also it's for the wrong phone...not sure what's the point of your post
I'm with you, I'm looking for a landscape charging dock similar to my Captivate dock. I'm hoping something will come along soon.
I too would be interested, particularly in a landscape car dock, and just to make it particularly difficult, want to be able to leave the Note2 in the gel case.
I too have been looking for a landscape charging dock this is closest I found
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=170938617225&index=9&nav=SEARCH&nid=57027534825
It charges your phone and a spare battery in portrait it also has a second micro usb socket for data sync. But atleast it also holds the phone in landscape mode when needed. I have this dock and 2 of the batteries and its not bad.

I had the landscape one for my S3, cheap as well, broke apart and it was so cheap that u could twist it to make it fit with a case
You could infact but this one and remote the stand which has the USB input and slide back into ur liking till it lines up with the note 2 bottom

like you said - it holds the phone in portrait mode and it's not what we're looking for...there is a million docks just like this one out there, including official accessory from Samsung, posted on samsungusa website. This doesn't really help....
The links I posted in the OP are for the type of dock we're searching for.
This dock for original Note 1 can be used in both, portrait and landscape mode. This Indian eBay seller insists it fits both Note 1 & 2....Thoughts?

I have one, and when you plug it in the Note 2 recognizes that it's plugged into a dock, but it's loose. This phone is skinnier than the original note, so you have to be careful inserting it and i don't think it would lie on its side well. Maybe it would fit if you had a relatively thin case on your phone.
bump....has anyone seen any new aftermarket landscape charging docks out there yet?

I want one also. Don't like the portrait kind.
I've had landscape docks before for other phones but this is harder to find.
I don't think there are any yet for the Note II. I just looked overseas.
I can have one made but I'd have to explore how expensive it is.

I have people looking into it. If I can get them and carry them I will since I want one also
Here is a UK seller, which claims this dock is compatible with Note 2: http://www.amazon.co.uk/KitSound-Galaxy-Charging-Compatible-Samsung/dp/B008GJT6ZM
It also has a recent review from a guy, who mentions using it with Note 2. Any takers?
Landscape Dock
Right now all there are is portrait docks.
I can get a Landscape dock made but it's very expensive to make. I don't know what the demand will be.
Would people rather have a landscape dock?

Hey fellas,
what kind of case can you recommend for someone who wants to hide beneath it a wireless charging receiver?
My preferences are minimalist and it shouldn't be had weird logos or strange pictures on it.
Best regards
Just a simple silicone transparent case.

Can I ask which wireless charger you got? I'm keen to get one, but I figure I'll be yanking it out often to plug in. Wonder if any passthroughs exist.

Hated the texture. I got the blue one with brown below. My hands are dry, so the jeans-like texture is very hand drying and irritative. Great case though!
