Hi,
Anybody have Service Manual for HTC Victor / T-Mobile MDA Compact IV?
I searched forum and wiki.xda-developers.com and found only Service Manual for HTC Diamond / O2 HDA Diamond/Ignito. But that is slightly different. Service Manual HTC Diamond covers models DIAM100/120/130/140/300.
But HTC Victor is DIAM200. And have different body inside.
I know that may be main info about hardware and spare parts numbers may be covered by presented Diamond service manual, but I think better to have original Service manual for HTC Victor.
Anybody may help?
I need this Service Manual !!
I need to repair the touch screen. I order a replacemente kit by Brando.
HELP !
hi mate,

really annoying as i can get most of the back off, but there seems to be a central pin next to the sim slot (which had a void sticker on it) which doesnt seem to have a thread on - so i cant get it off!

Bought new digitizer and now I cannot change it ;(.
I have a same problem that cannot open central pin.

Hi
I bought a Vario and it is in Dutch. I called T-mobile and they told me they dont sell the a UK version of the Vario in the Netherlands.
The options they presented me with were
a) give the phone back and demand a refund
b) put the UK qtek ROM on it
I have tried to download the qtek ROM that was mentioned in the following thread - fttp://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=247610#247610
with absolutley no success! I have tried all the addresses and none of them work.
Can anyone tell me how/where to get the download?[/list]
Give it back, get a refund, buy one cheaper on eBay and change phone company!
You will need to fiddle with the CID settings to get a different rom on there. Also the keypad may not physically match the rom you load. Even though they told you to, putting the Qtek rom on will void any manufacturer warranty.

Have just got a new contrcat with three and have sold the phone i have got with them.
I am getting a diamond from ebay, but wanted to know what network i should get it from. Is there any benifits of getting a orange diqamond over a tmobile.
What are the diferences?
I dont really want the o2 with the flast back and i would rather not have any branding on the phone.
Aditionally i will need to unlock it, are any easier to unlock than the others?
I found some info on how to set up the internet setting for the other htc devices for three UK and someone said it worked on theor diamond. Hopefully this should work. But if anyone has a diamond on three uk and has any advice on setting up. PLease let me know
Hi guys…
Bit of a desperate first post!
Picked up a HTC Diamond Touch last week locked to Orange and unlocked it using Olinex’s solution on here…
Now, I’ve put my T-Mobile SIM and all is working fine… calls, mobile internet… everything…
Well, everything but SkyMobile TV…
The HTC Touch Diamond on Orange supports SkyMobile TV… and the equivalent phone, MDA Compact IV on T-Mobile also supports the SkyMobile TV app… put the T-Mobile SIM into the HTC Touch Diamond however and it’s a different issue! The website says it's not a compatible handset... go figure
From searching there’s about a post and a half from a year or so back now that just kind of died a death… the guy who responded mentioned changing the user agent in the Opera browser, but didn’t quite know what the correct user agent was, lol…
Now, I’m reluctant to flash (I’ll have to, right?) and install the T-Mobile ROM given the bloatware it comes with… but I’m really kind of eager to get Sky Mobile TV on the phone and make those commutes into work a little more bearable!
All help, greatly appreciated!
Problem solved for all those that care, lol...
Went into the opera:config screen and changed the browser user agent to a T-Mobile compatible one... used MDA Compact IV since that's the T-Mobile HTC Diamond equivalent

Hi, I'm new here. *waves*
I'm trying to unlock my HTC Touch Diamond on Bell Mobility in Canada and I've run into a couple questions.
1. How do I tell if my phone is CDMA or GSM?
I know for a FACT it doesn't have a sim card (which I believe is the defining factor between the two)... but for some reason the search results I've been getting just fail to clarify whether or not Bell Canada is GSM or CDMA. I believe they went GSM in 2010 but since my phone is pre-2010 I'm not entirely sure.
2. Is my phone even really a Diamond?
For a while I was wondering if my phone was actually a victor p3702, (I know... same $#!+ different pile, right?) but in the images I got from Google I became VERY confused as my phone has a 3.2mp camera and the flat backing, and has that subtle slight curve to the bottom of the screen and says Touch Diamond when I boot it up. All the images I can find are of phones with a 3.1mp camera.
3. Do I even need to do this?
All I want to do is get custom ROMS for the phone. I heard in my internet travels that for a CDMA phone you don't need to unlock for new ROMs... just roaming and all that jazz.
4. WTF!?
Apparently the only unlocker for CDMA diamonds in existance is on the PPCGeeks site, but it gives me a damn 502 every time I go to check it out. Are there any others out there?
First of all, I`d like to state that this is a very well oragnised comunity, I read most of the things about the subject I was interested in, but I couldn`t find an answer to satisfy me, so I opened this thread hoping someone will clear things and maybe help me. All support is appreciated. Those being said. I recently bought a new MDA Compact V from T-Mobile UK, the phone is unlocked, just inserted O2 & other sim cards and they work without a flow. I alse saw that "noob video" and I am something beneath the "noob" statement heh, and NOT interested in switching the existing OS on my phone. The exact problem is that I can`t acces the web through other operators, except T-mobile. I`ve done many settings, even went to T-mobile, they told me this feature is locked to their network, and I have to reinstall the windows or something like it. I can browse with no problems through wi-fi, but with the packed data from the operator NO. Can someone please give me some advices regarding this issue. Awaiting your answers. Thx in advance.
