How do I get TCPMP to work w/ PIE? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi. I've upgraded my Tilt from WM6.0 to 6.1. I've installed TCPMP (specifically: TCPMP 0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-RECOMP-03). Back in the good old WM 6.0 days, when I clicked on a YouTube video within Internet Explorer, TCPMP would automatically start up and play the video. Not anymore.
Is there a trick to getting TCPMP to be aware that its services are needed?
Thanks for any help.

Have you installed the Flash Video pack for TCPMP?

Thanks, Mikeapollo! That was it.

Dissableing Real Player

I've been searching and reading for about two hours, and have been able to find a solution for this, please help.
Every time I click youtube (Yes, another youtube-related post, sry) Real Player starts automatically. I have already installed the latest versions of FlashVideoBundle and tcpmp, I have also checked the File Assosiation in TCPMP and I have not been able to get youtube to work without the need of vtap. I'm running both Opera (Mobile and Mini) and PIE.
realplayer.exe is written in the ROM so it cannot be deleted, and I don't know much about RegEdit.
Please help.
Thanks again! =)
Wierd... I re-installed htc streaming player and now TCPMP loads as the default player when I click on Youtube Videos (Desktop YT only, not M.) so its working now...
Any thoughs?
Thanks anyways =)

Coreplayer 1.2.1 not WM6 compatible?

i downloaded coreplayer 1.2.1 and at first it played youtube flawlessly but yesterday I had to switch from qtv to GDI to get them to play back at a good framerate. Also, it also takes a long time to buffer even when Im connected thru HSDPA at about 450kbps. After clicking on the youtube vid I want, some videos dont even begin to play and tthe ones that do take forever to even switch into the player window.
Also, even if i enable rtp and rstp, youtube vids from Opera or IE dont open in CorePlayer. I noticed that tcpmp flv pack wont open youtube vids for me either from the browser. I dont know why.
I am running Duttys WM6.1 btw. Any ideas?
RTSP is broken in Coreplayer from my experience... re-enable QTV and select H264 as the Youtube video type and it works perfectly.
I went back to QTV and it started working fine again, but then after a while it started slowing down again so I had to go to GDI again.
Hi ive been searching for coreplayer for a long time.. may i know the link where u downloaded it? Thanks

Tilt issue...

I am using one of Dutty's cooked roms for my Tilt and it comes pre-loaded with "HTC Streaming Media Player" and I have downloaded and installed TCPMP player and I have used resco file explorer to associate all files with youtube video extensions to be default opened by TCPMP but when I click on a link on youtube to play a video the HTC player keeps comming up I have even done the registry edit for the default program and it is set to TCPMP and I have done a soft reset still not working any ideas? Yes the flash plugin for TCPMP is installed and working. I have also defined default applications to open just about every file extension. Thanks guys
Here are some instructions to do what i think you're trying to do:

But if you're lazy like me, just install youtubeplay

Using TCPMP in a WM 6.1 version of the ATT Tilt

I heard that TCPMP has problems with Windows 6.1 devices, namely with plugins, but this was a while ago.
Is this still an issue with the 6.1 update on the Tilt?
I know that there is an alterrnate version of TCPMP and the flash plugin that works with 6.1, but does this also work on the tilt?
And what about all the other plugins?
I had to load the FlashVideoBundle from this thread - http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?p=1401933 - on my Tilt to get YouTube videos working, but everything else seemed to be working fine without that, only youtube had problems. (youtube swf args not found error.)
Does your tilt run Windows Mobile 6.0 or 6.1?
Nearly everybody who upgraded whatever 6.0 phone they had to 6.1 had problems with TCPMP and/or it's plugins.

Video playback error?

Hi there. I installed the TF3D as a panel which has fixed the crashing problem. Also installed some HD Touch addons like volume bar, keyboard. Everything works fine until i created a video using the X1 camera. Tried to play it back and windows media player says it cannot play the file, and that it maybe currupted. The preinstalled videos like the 007 trailor (mines a UK voda X1) doesn't work also.
Resetted everything, the videos started to work again. Installed TF3D and other addons, and again videos don't work. Anyone else have this problem? Avi files work fine, just 3gp and mp4 ones don't? Incidentally, my omnia had the same problem when i installed TF2D manilla. Any help grately appreciated.

Gonna try the patch zenkinz thanks for the reply will let you know how It works out.
Did try it and it does not work for me.
I did some extensive searching on the forum but the only thing that seems to be the solution is a hard reset.
"you need to have clean X1i w/o previous installation of Youtube to work."
I'm guessing this also goes for "repairing" the MP4/3G Playback?
Can't play 3gp and MP4 videos anymore using Windows Media on my Xperia WM6. It had been working fine for months but yesterday it just stopped playing these files. WMV works fine and so does the 3gp and MP4 videos if played on any other player. There must be a solution other than a hard reset!!! Is there a way to reinstall Windows media or perhaps someone can send me the exe and any other files that make windows media work on WM6.
Thanks
It seems like a ROM issue to me, but pasha's situation seems to beg to differ. Any programs you install recently?

No... none ... although i do test a lot of different applications and games. But i don't recall installing anything in particular during the time this problem appeared. I did change the image files in the Sony Ericsson Xperia panel but i dont think it should effect WMP. Interestingly i noticed that i am able to play MP4 and 3gp files using WMP if they are in the WMP videos library list. However can't play them if i select them directly from any file explorer.
