hello guys,
i wondered, if there would be an easy way to change the standard activation from system volume to the ringing volume... i feel it would be more usefull
and second... i am missing my scrolling wheel of the hermes, especially in opera...i tried ae button plus for mapping the volume slider, but its really not as comfortable as i hoped
i hope someone could give me a cool solution for that
so, have a nice day

Hi, I'm new here and I apologize if my issue has already been dealt with. It sounds so simple: My new Kaiser is great. All I'm missing badly is the feature to change the ring/sound volume (if NOT in a call) with the jog wheel. Just like I could do with the slider of my good old charmer. I have tried HTC home and other tools but nothing is as easy to use with one hand than the hardwar slider/jog wheel. Is there any tweak or utility out there?
Thanks.
The Kaiser's jog wheel is interlocked with the up down D pad. Very few programs are able to have utilize the jog wheel and the dpad seperately. The only way I know of to use the jog wheel as volume is 1, download a program call wisvol.exe 2, make a shortcut to wisvol.exe in your program folder. 3, map the ptt button to wisvol.exe. When you want to raise or lower the volume, push the ptt button to bring up the volume slider then use the jog wheel to raise or lower the volume. When you're done, push the ptt button again to close the wisvol.exe

You should try Dutty's April 9th rom w/ SPB phone suite. The new rom allows you to silence incoming calls. When you are on a call and you want to lower the volume you can use the scroll wheel to lower the voices. It doesn't fully satisfy your needs but it will make it a little better for you.
Sorry if it was already covered elsewhere, - is there any way to remap auctions for these side buttons on Diamond ? I don't change volume level that often, all done through profiles, imho up/down arrow or scroll function would be much more beneficial ...
Update: AEButton Plus does the thing perfectly, thanks to Geekess for the hint
volume up/down is OK but long press may be very useful for Explorer, task manager etc...
In other words configurable .. would be great for camera too, not easy to make pictures with central button, not stable enough ...
I did not follow development news for previous HTCs, so not sure if it was ever done before ...the fact is that these buttons are not available from Settings (
You can use PQZ II for remapping the volume key. Try to google it.

well, does not look good at the end, maybe these are hidden features, but I could not find a way of how to use the volume buttons independently (they work as Ctrl or Alt, no problem here, but I wanted to use them as one button - one action, not two buttons - one action). Another problem, Up/Down or Scroll are not available for selection as actions ....
So it should be possible to change that, the matter of finding the right program now ..
Wish there were more buttons on Diamond, or at least proper navigation buttons ...
Hmm... for me it does not work, get the message:
keyboard hook faild
any suggestions?
What works for me is AEButton Plus (payware, no affiliation). I have reconfigured my volume buttons to single press = arrow up/down and long press to volume. The program has a nice function: you can choose to let the volume buttons have their default behavior during a phonecall.
I'm using the trial right now, but if I can't find a freeware program that has the same functionality I will probably buy this.
May I ask how you've gone on with AEButton? I'd be interested to hear your long(er) term experience of having used it as it sounds like exactly what I want/need.
Mathew
all good, does what it says, configured it once and just using since ..
Tried latest HButton 2.3, but think it is not compatible ... anyone else tried it?
I noticed that despite changing in call volume settings and system volume settings, the volumes are linked together.
Has this always been the way? I seem to recall my WM6 phone (Hermes) remembering in call volumes and keeping it seperate from the system volume -but I may be wrong.
I want to lower my in call volume, but the hardware volume buttons don't seem to make that much of a differnce - and not to mention they adjust the system volume as well.
I have read through all the other volume related threads I can find. I think this is the first time someone actually wants to lower the diamond's earpiece volume!
Effectively you have 3 volumes. Unless you are in a call then the volume buttons only give you access to the system and ring volumes. As far as I know you can only adjust the in call volume in call (there will be a registry option also but I don't know where sorry).
Anyway when you start your call before you put the phone to your ear (and the screen goes off) press volume up or down and it will change your call volume.
I figured out what it was... it was due to me disabling the diamond phone skin.
You lose volume functionality.
And if the settings is "silent", even the music player, via earphones, is silent?

Can you elaborate?
I've disabled the Diamond skin yet I am able to independently adjust the in-call volume... in-call. System/ringer volume is adjustable at all other times.

If you disable the diamond dialer skin and have HTC volume control enabled you will not be able to alter the in call volume. To adjust in call volume using default windows dialer skin you also have to disable HTC volume control.
Ah, yes, I do seem to recall having disabled the HTC Volume too with DiamondTweak.

Hi guys,
I do not want to use "Diamond dialer Skin" because of the S2U2, so I have disable it. However, there is no way to alter the in call volume (I have activate and deactivate HTC volume control with Diamond Tweaker, but no way).
Any help?
Thanks in advance
No one has solve this trouble? It is making me crazy!
Why does the dialler skin interefere with S2U2?

Each time a call is incoming, in the first few seconds the dialler skin appears. After that, the normal S2U2 screen appears again (with "slide to answer"...). If you touch accidentally the option "Answer" of the dialler skin by accident in these few seconds, it will answer the call.
I have added something in the registry (to be honest, I can not remember right now) that it was supposed to fix this trouble, but no way...

Does that mean the volume buttons will no longer work during a call but you will get a volume adjuster on the screen...or will the volume buttons still change the in call volume. dont know about anyone else but I find the volume buttons a bit too fiddly and 'sunk' too far...probably nicer to look at though...
I mean that the volume buttons will not work any more. The only way they work in my Diamond is activating "Diamond Dialer Skin", but with this, I get the S2U2 problem...

It is not a big problem, but it is making me crazy...
try this regkey
I maxed up my in call volume, and found this DWORD regkey to be changing to FFFFFFFF (8 F's hex value).
Can you try?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\ShellOverrides\SavedInCallVolume

Thank you very much for the answer.
Anyway, I do know how to configure the volume (I use a "Profiles" software that can adjust the volume). The point is to be able to change the in call volume during the call.
To be honest, I can hardly believe that no one has deactivate "Diamond Skin Phone" and had no trouble with this
I'm using the dialer skin, but when i am talking with someone, adjusting the volume up/down, it always reset it to lowest. Any advice?
Hi all,
Just got my Tytn 2 for about a month, still trying to play around with it.
I've just installed S2U2 ver 1.21, and they got this cool feature of Volume Control.
I wish to assign the Volume Control to the Jog Wheel key press, but is there a way to do so?
I've tried with 3rd party software like AE Button Plus & HotButton Plus, but neither of them have any options to assign task to the Jog Wheel key press.
Can any expert help out this noob please? Like registry edit or something? Appreciate a lot.
Solution Found
After playing around for a longer period, managed to find the jog wheel hardware key as #0086.
Thus, able to use AE Button Plus to assign volume control to the Jog Wheel key press
I need your help please.
I have an AT&T Tilt with the 6.1 official ROM (minus bloatware).
I have the Home Customizer, Kaiser Tweak (very cool) and a few other programs, but it's mostly stock.
My question is, how can I set the jog wheel / jog dial to control the system volume in any program? Even in the Today screen?
I've searched and read through various threads but I haven't found a solution. I know the wheel will control in-call volume or in Audio program, but I'd like it to control system volume while in TCPMP or in today screen also.
Has anyone figured this out?
Bump..
I've tried searching and the most I came up with ae button plus.
I'd like NOT to use 3rd party software, just tell WM6.1 the jog wheel always adjusts system volume.
Anybody have any luck?
