well the RAM could be changed with flashing a ROM and it would be nice to get a nice stripped version of wm6.1 since its more stable and with a stripped version itll have more than 128mb free.
to upgrade ur OS to wm6.5 you have to HardSPL and then FLash wm6.5 thru the RUU go to the Opal ROM developement sub-forum to learn how to do all this.

I just bought a HTC Diamond 4GB this is GSM version , but Is preaty slow , I installed a few things to get it more faster.
But my question is , What can I do to have my htc diamond fast ? ,
My HTC ROM is 1.93.442.4 WWE

Make some tweaks on registry or install a new rom.
You are in the correct place to learn how to change the rom, and is simple.
But b4 you start read several forums about how to do it or you will get your diamond bricked.
Good luck and use "SEARCH" function of this forum. Is the best tool you will ever get.

Please read threads for flashing for first time, you will need to flash hard spl then your new rom.
This answer can be found via searching my friend.

Take a look in the ROM section! There are loads of 6.5 ROM's to choose from. If you want a standard 'untweaked' version check out this ROM... download V8 in post #2... superb!
Diamond2 official rom on Diamond?
Hi all,
Since the official 6.5 rom is available for Diamond2 (Topaz):
RUU_Topaz_S_HTC_WWE_2.16.405.4_Radio_Sign_Topaz_61.44tc.25.32_4.49.25.17_Ship
It brings up the question, is it possible or does it make any sense to load it on Diamond, should it work? Of course NBHUtil must be used first.

i don think
7 needs a high system hardware that opal doesnt have theme
even if we can , it will become something like Android .but the diffrent is:
most of the things doesnt work .and trhere is no speed

no its not possible. its not like WM 6.5 such that u patch up and make a upgrade... WM7 asks for higher hardware requirements and moreover u need some dedicated keys like 'start','search' etc.. which are not present in viva..... and it is most likely any current WM 6.5 wont support WM7, unless u have the dedicated keys....
and u need a multi-touch screen
as jagan2 said WP7 needs ce7 kernal that only HD2 (leo) can run it

My main question is - is there any evidence that an upgrade to the official WinMo 6.5 rom will improve the phone signal?
My other question:
Will the rom for the Rhodium work on the Topaz? HTC tell me it's the same (verbally), hence the the support page showing the rom for Touch Pro 2.

No! For this to happen you'll need to find a suitable radio.nbh for Topaz.
Our WinMo phones can flash the splash screen, OS and radio only.
