Absolutely not.
With your PC, they have your IP and MAC address. Then, they should ask to your provider to give them your personal informations.
With your phone, they have your IP, IMEI and phone number... that's way easier to know who you are.
However, using bt to download illegal stuff is... obviously always illegal!

This thread makes me giggle. No one can find me, because I'm not on a plan, so no one knows that the IMEI and number belong to me. Free wi-fi ftw as well.

lol and it just gets better when u take out ur sim card

Not really, it's just what you download.
Yeah wmTorrent is the only one for Windows Mobile.

Can you somehow change the way wm torrent registers itself to trackers? Meaning I want the tracker to think that I'm using uTorrent or BitComet, because some trackers only accept a small number of clients...

Interesting... here in Italy, when you buy a SIM card (either on a plan or not) you have to give all your infos (Passport ID, name, surname, etc)

Yeah, that's why I said "using bt to download illegal stuff is...". Obviously, if you download a Linux Distro, for example, it's totally legal!

This will be implemented in Bulgaria by the end of the year. The Government already passed the law .

I hope no one does - you should pay for the applications you want to use...
No need to be illegal torrents? There's a lot of legal torrents out there in the world
im ready to pay for torrent program that works with private trackers!
winmobile doesnt work, otherwise it would be good.

Pretty sure he wants a program to control torrents.
Not specifically to download warez to his phone...

OK I may be wrong in suggesting that the originator is after warez - if this is the case then I apologies.
But why would you torrent something that is legal and risk compromising the security of the PC (surely one can get legal applications in the normal fashion).
99.9 % of torrents are for warez.
Downloading music via torrent, although still "illegal", is the only way I've found to download full albums or sets at a time. I don't feel like going through LimeWire song by song to get an album I want.

As true as that statement may well be. There is nothing, even slightly illegal about having a torrent client on your WM device.
Try Adisasta WinMobile Torrent. That should do it.

p2p software like limewire for andriod?

p2p software like limewire for andriod? is this possible i think it is just not avaliable is anyone working on this ? or willing too ?
well theres a photoshop mobile for most phone so who knows if there will be a mobile limewire or ares
i dont see why it wouldnt be possible especially with 3g, but it would probably violate some sort of data service contract agreement that tmobile gives you
its been done on iphone already and windows mobile theres pleanty of software p2p but just not for android iam sure someone will make it soon but i think it will not appear on the andriod market place and t-mobile wont care they just enjoy getting there money every month
Call me stupid, what would you use limewire on a phone, for?

Its arguable the word are interchangeable
There is andtorrent that lets you download torrents
1 - Gnutella sucks
2 - No reason except the obvious to use this, Gnutella isnt a means of legal distribution, BitTorrent can and is actually used for a legal means, fairly often too.
3 - there already are BT clients for android, but AFAIK, none are very good, check out ABTC on the Market.

[REQ] I Need an App Developer

Whilst lying on my living room floor a (hopefully) great idea hit me.
I have a new project and it's really unique.
It could change mobile browsing forever.
The app will allow you to download Data to you mobile via your mobile network for free.
People have unlimited data on mobile e.g. :
500mb unlimited data
Which means they can browse the net for free unlimited.
But they can stream and download content up to 500mb.
I can put a stop to this but need a very good developer. All the ideas are in my head.
So PM me or reply to the topic if you know are are a very good developer.
I'd be glad to help, but here in Italy browsing is limited, as all the kinds of net traffic.

You find results in Dutch which I don't understand and google translate makes a mess of.
None of these results say anything about IMEIs...
Thus my request for further information.

Regiolock (aka regionlock) has nothing to do with the problem you are facing.
This is only when a device blocks cards from a certain region.
There are no public methods available to change the IMEI for a P7. Generally methods for changing the IMEI of a device will not be released to the GP because the use of these tools is illegal in most countries, they can be misused by theives and terrorists.

Nope it isn't, and your attitude doesn't make it any less false. (Though it does make the Dunning-Kruger effect apparent)
Actually I did read the OP's initial post, and I completely understood it.
But I also know the background of his problem (which is not new and actually well known since since the law was introduced ages ago in Turkey), and I also googled to confirm whether the situation in Turkey hasn't changed over the last few years just to be sure before posting previous message.
Let me explain it to you:
Region lock is on the device itself, it prohibits the user to use a sim card not whitelisted for a certain user.
The problem here is different, Turkey blocks any foreign GSM within a month (or two) if it is not registered (by law), registering a device is compulsory (and you can't register anything without paying taxes and fees).
But hey, don't believe me, let others tell you:

I think that this is a contentious issue and we are both right. but it is also a reason that have their smartphone has been locked. the question whether the IMEI can be changed as we both have answered the same.

I asked you about law regulations, not police instruction or somewhere explanations or interpretation. But even this UK police statement says about unblocking blocked phone.
Generally, in short words. Illegal is not changing IMEI but changing it for crime reasons. Just all [emoji14]
PS
There is 194 countries on the world and each can have own regulation in this aspect.

224444 is being used to send text message notifications by Google to their list of different users who have opted-in to their SMS notification program. Many websites, mobile apps, and other businesses use their short codes to notify their users of current deals being offered, promotions, coupons, when tables are ready at their restaurants, password changes, and other time sensitive information related to their individual accounts. This is to keep their users informed with up to date information, give their subscribers coupons and deals, and also to verify that the user attempting to make changes to their account is the verified account owner.
Maybe at some point, you registered your phone number to one of Google services (maps, youtube, etc) and they want to keep you informed.
On the other hand, if you didn't do any of this, it may be possible that you accepted some bad cookies or notifications from surfing the internet. In that case, you can uninstall and reinstall your browser. Hope that this could give you an answer to your question ?. If not, you may have to do some researches of your own Google account security settings.
