Colleagues,
Could someone please point me to a download of the latest SiS191 1000-100-10 Gigabit LAN Ethernet driver?
Regards.
Bump this up.
This is the wrong forum, and a bump shouldn't be given after 7 hours.

Hi Alexandre,
I am wondering what would be the point to use this USB-LAN adapter? The length of the cable or that you can access the device remotely using the network?
Since using USB2 connection you get theoretically 480 Mbps transfer rate but on this LAN you only get max 100 Mbps since it is not a Gigabit USB-LAN adapter. Using this you only downgrade the transfer/connection speed.
Hi,
@ Zero_Tab_2011 : It's for use without wifi or 3G connection
@Arobase40 : No, I can't, I have resend this tablet and another people in my society have test another tablet 'toshiba at100'

This is speculation based on limited data, but it seems like the machines you are referring to here are likely on different subnets, so the networks can't see each other.
Also, most usb-based networks aren't really multi-node networks. The 11.3 IP you're providing is part of some wireless ethernet network while the other two are IPs of the usb network. These usb networks are just psuedo interfaces and you can't route between them unless you have a machine acting as a bridge (which based on your question, I highly doubt is the case).
Again, much of this is just barely intelligible speculation because you haven't provided any information about the network topology aside from the fact that you have a point-to-point usb network running between your phone and a computer. It is unkonwn whether the computer participating in that usb network has access to the wireless ethernet network that 11.3 is sitting on, so it would not be surprising that they cannot communicate as the status of any layer-level interface is undisclosed.
In a word: if you want help, provide more information.
Since this is a question regarding laptops and not mobile devices, I'm moving this to Off-Topic.
This is only a "sort-a" nexus 7 question. I would like to get a usb wifi adapter for my windows 7 computer at work that supports wifi direct, so that I can connect to my desktop computer to share files and the desktop's hard wired internet connection with my Nexus 7. I cannot use a router at work, and the company's wifi signal strength is weak. Does anyone know of a usb wifi adapter that supports wifi direct?
What about using Google Drive, Dropbox, or something similar? Or are you looking for more on the fly kind of access?
Yes, I want to share the desktop computer's fast Internet connection and transfer files quickly. Cloud storage is not similar.

Has this been answered?

I am now trying to do this exact same thing. Does anyone have the answer for this yet? :fingers-crossed:
No need for hardware, just use a software (virtual) hotspot to share your pc connection with your wifi gadgets. Cannot post links yet, but here's two examples - Connectify and mHotspot.
I'm sure you'll find plenty of others that let you do this, windows has this capability built-in through the wifi miniport driver, the programs are just for convenience and further customization.

Hey I'm pretty new to everything about diy web hosting but I'll explain my setup so far.
So I recently moved into a new apartment where my downstairs neighbors' ISP is xfinity so i use the free wifi that it outputs; "xfinitywifi".
On my MacBook pro(late2012 nonretina) I am connected to this wifi but internet sharing is turned on and outputs through ethernet to a dell optiplex 755 running windows 10 64bit. It also has internet sharing on so a new signal outputs through it's wireless adapter so now I have a pretty stable wifi connection that piggy backs off of my neighbors.
What I'd like to know is if there's a way to host a web server on literally any of these computers- would totally dig using my pi for this but i think that method is looking pretty bleak because i don't have another usable ethernet port or wireless adapter, so for testing I think it'll have to be connected via usb internet sharing.
Another question I have is if anyone knows a good thread for running dns off of a first gen pi b? Also maybe how that might translate to this unique setup.
I am willing to jump through any necessary hoops to make this work- please help & thank you in advance.
Hello,
Having trouble connecting my Mi9 to my computers, whether they're on Ethernet or Wifi.
Does anyone know which ports to open in a router for the app me to check?
Thanks !!
