LED flash for new email? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I can't get the LED to flash for new email messages. The option is greyed out in the Notifications tab of Sounds & Notifications. I've also tried Flexmail, which has its own event called "Flexmail New per Message." The checkbox for flashing the LED is selectable for that event, but the LED still does not flash.
Anyone else have this problem?
Bell Mobility Touch Diamond
TouchFLO 3D disabled (using regular Today screen)
ROM version: 1.13.666.7
Radio: 1.04.02V

try the led-sound-fix.cab . after install, you'll be able to set led signal for e-mail and even unlimited time settings for led-signal for new events like new text message etc. ..

I installed the .CAB file, which did unlock the checkbox for flashing the LED for email messages. But, still no LED flash for new messages in Flexmail
Do you know what the .CAB file does? Is it a registry hack, perhaps something that I could adjust for Flexmail?

New Text Message will not vibrate

I have tried everything! Sounds & Notifications. Sound on, off, vibrate. When I receive a new text message my phone will not vibrate. It will vibrate for a phone call or any other notification, but not a text message.
Any help please?
Just to verify, you did go to Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications (tab at the bottom), select "Messaging: New text message" in the "Event:" drop-down list, and select the box that says "vibrate"? If yes, do you have any other sms software installed that may be overriding the WM vibrate instruction?
What program did you install?
Mine won't either, ever since I installed the threaded messaging (palm) app. I dunno how to get it to notify me that I have a new text message, either.
Does it vibrate when you click on the inbox?

Did you go into notifications and choose specifically the incoming message that says Palm in it??
-McMex
did you by any chance disabled the threaded sms?...if yes then use the latest kaiser tweaks xml file and change it again...you will get back your vibration and sound
hello,
i have exactlythe same problem, it wont vibrate when i receive a text message, but it vibrates when i get a call or whatever. if i set the notification on a sound it will play that sound whenever i get a message.
i got the newest rom version and i have kaiser tweak installed.
I hope somebody can help me.

Kaiser SMS notification broken

I have just been playing around with duttys latest ROM and KaiserTweak and Schaps Advanced Config. I have now noticed that when I recieve an SMS the icon in the top task bar doesnt appear and there is no vibration/orange flashing light.
I have checked in Sounds and Notifications under settings and for new text message everything is ticked. Is there anyway to check these settings in the registry?
At first I thought this was a problem with duttys ROM so flashed back to my Stock Vodafone UK ROM. I then recustomised it (disabled threaded SMS and simple stuff like that) and it has now happened again.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any suggestions at all would be welcome.
what are you using to disable threaded sms?
uninstall your method and install this cab file.
many people are still using the method that disables notifications.
I went into the registry and set SMSAvailable to 0
I really hope this is the solution so I dont need to send my poor phone off to vodafone to be mutilated.
Will give this method a try in the morning
SMSAvaliable disables sms notifications
so restore that key to default and install my cab and it'll work
(or atleast it 99.9% should)
sorry to bump but did this method work for you?

Disable e-mail received notifications?

I have searched high and low... here, the web in general, etc. but no answer...
All I want to do is NOT get the Notification pop-up on teh bottom of the screen for incoming e-mails. I am running ATT Tilt with HTC 6.1 latest ROM. I have disabled all notifications under Settings, Sounds & Notifications... but they still come up! I am using Exchange set-up in Active Sync.
I am using spbPhone and already have counts on screen... those pesky notification messages are a waste of time.... I have not seen any Kaiser Tweak registry setting or other secret to get rid of these. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the simple unticking box "Display message on screen" in Event: New e-mail... should do the work?
I assume that you already done that? Maybe its some conflict with SPB?
I did try that... no conflict with spb... i was sure to try it with plain vanilla 6.1 ROM before anything was added... no matter what I do I get the "Notification" in the bottom bar and it removed my real soft key item that I want there until i clear it.
I turn off ALL Notification under Notification Tab in Sounds and Notifications... I turn off Notification on the main tab... I turn off Program check box on main tab... yet still I get the Notification text in the bottom bar whenever I get email, miss a call, get voice mail, etc... this is ridiculous!!!! There has to be a way to turn them off!!!!

SMS/Mail confirmation alert

Just got a new diamond here in Tokyo connected the Softbank network.
It seems whenever I send out an email via Outlook/SMS/S! Mail(Service that allows SMS-like mail to be sent to regular email accounts or other cellphone providers...most people use it here in Japan) I get a "Your mail has been successfully sent" email confirmation everytime I send out a mail. For someone who uses all three services frequently, it tends to get a little annoying
I've downloaded many tweaks and modification applications for the diamond but it seems I'm still not able to find the workaround...
Does anyone know the cure for this or is this a known problem?

This little quirk bothers me too because I want to hit send and then lock the device; unfortunately, when I hit send and lock the device I get a bunch of notifications and the device unlocks itself and random uttones get pressed as its in my pocket.
It may be best to load a WWE rom and sort out the smail using mmslite. Getting JP input working however is another issue.
For the problem with the notifications in softbank's arcsoft mail app, I wonder if there is a registry fix we can do.
solution for successful sent notification(at least for text)
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-diamondpro-tweak.html
Go to messages, and disable text messages notifications.
Kevbodian, mjz147,
Thanks, I really appriciate your quick response!!
I checked out that Diamond tweak app and its one hell of an applicaiton!
It seems though, when I disabled the text message notification and soft reset, im still getting those alerts after sending MMS/SMS emails.
Is there something wrong with my device or I may have to do some manual modifications via registry? :\
Tried to just disable em in Windows?
Start/Messaging/Menu/Tools/Options/SMS MMS
There you can disable notifications. Atleast for SMS messages for me it works.

I guess I have bad luck when it comes to disabling notification via Windows.
Unlike the US version, my phone doesnt have just one central location for mail but two (Outlook application - used for PC email & SoftBank Mail - used for SMS and MMS...)
So when I looked under the option menu in Outlook tools, I wasnt able to find any SMS/MMS options...
Im sure theres a registry hack that can be used...im not so sure why the diamond tweak app could apply changes to everything except the "turn off notifications" option though...
Was anyone able to solve this issue?
Did you guys try Advanced Config v3.3?
It has a section devoted to messages tweaks.
It does have a tweak that disables notifications.
Greets.

I currently have 3.3 installed and have used it to disable/enable many features on my Diamond. But it seems after I disable the 'SMS delivery notification' and 'SMS sent notification" fields (and soft reboot), it is still showing the sent notifications after sms/s!mail is sent...
As Kevbodian was saying, maybe there is a special reg hack that needs to be done under softbank's arcsoft mail app.
could somebody figure out what change is made when that notification is turned off and turn this into a cab file? the only thing that bothers me is the sound. i dont mind the bubble or the little icon on the top telling me that my sms is sent. thanks
this one is simple and right to the point install it and it doesnt give you the message, you dont have tons of menus to navigate through just that install
also i am simply reposting this app i did not develop it or design it credit goes where credit is due
so this turns off the sound AND the notifications also? thanks
yep no sound and no pop up message after sending one
i hope it helps
almost tempted to figure out how cab files work (arent they just reg edits?) and maybe try to see if i can change it myself. i like having the notifications (bubble and little icon on the top) but the sound can be annoying at times,
Edit1: also i just installed advanced config 3.3 and the notification thing works for me.
Edit2: also search "kraiser tweak" and you will find it has settings for this. a lot of settings actually for just the thing you are talking about. now we just need to find the edits in the registry because i dont really like having 2 configuration programs on my phone. (advance config, and kraiser tweak)
Edit3: ok i found this on the wiki....Disable SMS Sent Notification
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings] Set SMSNoSentMsg to 1
.....so does this mean if it was changed to a 2,3,or 4 that would change the action of it? im really trying to look into this.....if you cant tell haha

Late notification of received SMS's

Hi, not sure if anyone can help. I have a Diamond on Orange. I am running SPB phone suite, pocket plus, wireless monitor and Spb Time. I am on ROM version 1.93.405.1 with radio version 1.00.25.05.
Most of the time incoming sms's are not being notified. I get no sound or vibration. I have to go into the messages and after a few seconds the text will be received. The time on the text can be half an hour or more earlier than current time.
I have tried disabling diffent bits of software on today but it seems to keep happening!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you find any solution for this?
Just noticed, that my phone dosen't notify me at all on incoming sms
Did a reset today and suddenly had 15 new messages
Test shows: new sms is not displayed on tf3d - entering sms-tab shows me it's there... even more - I can only see them in tf3d, they are not shown in sms-inbox at all
Have not had any time to do more than check notification-settings (fine) and search for this thread
running 1.93 stock rom with black theme for 1.93 roms (could be a theme error I guess)
Enable Wake on SMS.
Greetings.
Download Advance Config 3.0 -> Messaging -> Wake on new SMS -> Enable
well - for me it's not a 'wake' issue - my tf3d-sms-tab does not even show new messages! (the small no with amount of unread)
If I go there I see them... but hitting 'in-box' will tell me '0 sms'
thinking of finally flashing some non-stock-rom anyway so this is no big deal for me - thx for the reply!
