Hi there, I've been trying out a few messenger clients, but was wandering, has anybody incorporated a messenger client into Manilla (or maybe HTC Home, but I prefer M2d), such that it has its own tab and is always running, complete with alerts for messages etc?
I seem to remember I've come across a few "Today plugins" which do this, but I found that whole "Today" interface kinda clunky...

I've found a slight limitation with the outlook version and was wanting to checkout an alternative.

Search for Flex Mail 4 and LCG Profi Mail...
I've looked at flexmail several times, looking at the feature list and description of the software. I keep wanting to see something in it that I need or want, but I just can't find anything.
I use SEVEN now, and with the pocket outlook, it does everything I need. The only exception is ota sync with my work email, but that's more because of the way they handle things than limitations of my software.

anybody know if there is seperate .cabs for these so that i dont have to install Microsoft live to have these available...if i could just get the search bar to put in my today screen that searches google and the msn messenger client.

you can use the search cab from this thread in the forums which has a tiny footprint and works perfectly. Very useful if you don't need the hotmail client and just want a searchbar on the today screen.
Fring is supposedly a good messenger client and it's free and reputable. It supports filesharing, Skype and other VOIP standards along with pretty much every IM provider going.

Hey everyone - I am about to switch to a different mail client because of the limitations in the default Windows Mail on my Diamond, but that will of course make the email tab virtually useless as well. Unless...
Does anyone know if you can customize the folder from which the animated envelope renders messages? It would be really great we could configure it to point to a different folder in our synchronized folder list...

I use a program called "slick" and it's awesome. You can run pretty much any messager from it.
I'd recommend palringo. It's just like IM+, but its free and you can send pics + voices over the chat window!

Is there any way, to replace the application for the calendar (e. g. ThumbCal or the original Windows Mobile Calender), so instead of the Touchflo3D Calendar another one opens.
I tried already SSMAHO, but it doesn't seem to work on Diamond2.
