TF3D Phantom Appt - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Just wanted to see if anyone has any more thoughts. I am getting this after a stock reflash (VZW).
Two Appointments keep showing up only on the TF3D home page. These are not in my calendar. If you click on the appointment it open Calendar, but there is no entry for this phantom appointment.
"staff meeting (seattle office - rm 1180)"
and
"review design comp (Dan's Office)"
I am guessing that it came along with something that in installed. I have the following items installed after Flash.
Bored's GPS Fix
dobe Flash Light
Advanced Config
BadBoy Audiopara fix (lite)
Diamond TF3D Config
FInixNOverBattery
GoogleMaps
ICS Install
InboxExtender
LiveSearchWM6
.NetCF3.5
nuePowerCPL
nuePowerDriver
Opera Beta(951b2)
S2U2 1.40
SDKCERTS
SkyFire
TCMDPocketARM (Total Commander)
TorchButton
Zenyee Stay Unlock

maybe you should just go to the meeting.... it sounds important. make sure you reviewed what dan told you to.

I get this too!
I also get this rather annoying phantom meeting appearin at times when my calendar is quite empty for the next few days.
I still get this after a reflash. I now have BsB 6.5Q ROM. I reinstalled Touchflo 3D, but apart from that the only apps that I have common with timcreech is GoogleMaps, so I'm guessing it's an annoying bug within TF3D. Anyone got any way of getting rid of it?

Calendar Today plugin bug

Really annoying bug from Microsoft Calendar
When you select option to display upcoming appointments and also checked to display all day events, it will not display the all day events !
http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2045397&SiteID=65
Anyone know which good and small application to replace this Calendar plugin?
PocketBreeze is nice, but it is too complicated just for showing several events in advance.
Calendar+ is nice and freeware, but I dont know if it is running fine on WM6 (there was a report said it wont run on WM6).
IMHO, PocketBreeze and SPB Diary (I think that's the name), is the best plugin for calendar events. While they can be a bit complicated to set up (so does your PPC compared to a cheap model of Nokia), it can work pretty much to the way you want it to. E.g., I'm using PBreeze, I can have the top tab row remove, just showing the schedule, for 7 days. Everything is in 1 place, colour coded. Yes, you REALLY need to dig in to make it works for you.
Anyway, you can perhaps try the freeware, TodayAgenda. Not sure if it works on WM6, but it is *like* a much lighter version of Pocket Breeze, with easy settings.

I recommend Calendar+, it is an excellent replacement for the normal

Try it and see! Works fine on my TyTN II
Thanks guys, I will give it (calplus) a go later today.
One bug down, still another one :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330224
Although the Calendar+ is working fine, it has small annoying bug
In the Today screen, I only have 3 items:
- HTC Home
- Calendar+
- TomTom 6
After soft-reset, the TomTom 6 is gone from the Today screen!
However, the setting is still there in the Today setting.
I must uncheck then check again to make the TomTom 6 appear.
Well, I think, I will move the TomTom 6 to the program launcher tab.
Just use TodayAgenda, it's free and it works like a charm....i use the 1.0 Beta with no problems what so ever....
I am now considering to use TodayAgenda, but the display looks complicated (cluttered)
With Calendar+ , I can resize the text as small as possible and display each appointment as compact as possible (single line). So, it is very clean without much of icons.

List of Applications

I just wanted to compile a list of application you guys must have on your PDA?
I've done tweeking my rom and now looking for some solid applications to add to the phone..
List all applications you install once after a hard reset!
-Tomtom Navigator
Heh, just downloaded Dutty's Hybrid ROM with the full intention of flashing it (as I'm still using Schaps' 4.31). Then sat down and listed all the soft I have installed... and cried bloody tears.
So much stuff to reinstall, re-register, restore saves/bookmarks to! Yes, I know of UC, Sashimi, and stuff, but still... that's an awful lot.
K, here goes for anyone interested (in order of original installation/upgrade):
SKKV SK Tools
Mortscript
Weather Panel (+ Hourly Fix)
TaskManager ITA Big Buttons
S2U2
Finger-Friendly Friends
Ultimate Launch
HTC Home Customizer
RC Mod
Pocket Informant 8
Cyberon Voice Dialer
Batti
Mobipocket Reader
SPB Diary, Traveler, Finance, Wallet, Time
Resco Explorer, Audio Recorder, Photo Viewer, Radio
FDC Softkey Applet
VGAKEY keyboard
SRS_WOW_HD
Green Skin for Audio Manager
and about 20 games, mostly puzzle and RPG.
And, of course, iGo My Way 2006 Plus and AutoMapa, both navigation software.
To answer your original question: most of these are a must for me. Sorry, cannot be more specific.

That'd be very kind of you, thanks
Indeed the software-Wiki could use some updating, as, for example, it lists only a few of Resco and SPB progs, and relatively old ones at that.
SPB Traveler, for instance, (mostly) duplicates the functionalities of SPB Weather and Time while adding quite a few of its own.
SPB Wallet (and its many brothers, like eWallet, SplashID, or CodeWallet) is another killer app, as it saves the hassle of remembering oodles of passwords, codes, keys, combinations, sizes, URLs, account numbers... you name it.

It's a wiki so you can add things yourself. I just created it about 1-2 weeks ago so it hasn't been around that long. Hell, I wish the damn thing would get stickied but it doesn't look like it is.

Succesfully Removing Manilla 2D

Hey guys,
I liked the Manilla 2d, but i got frustrated since most of the functions wont use my default apps and since most of the functions utilize a data connection which im not paying for. I tried remove the app. However, some of the logos on the start menu still show up from the old manilla 2d theme. Occasionally the vibrate icon will be the M2D version which is annoying because it has a separate layout I dont like.
I tried to remove the M2D by using the settings> system>remove programs, but it fails after trying for like 10 minutes. So what I did was I went to start>settings>system>today and I unchecked touchflo and i checked HTC Home and HTC Home Plugin, but now I still see the volume control from manilla 2d. Help me get rid of Manilla.
Side Note: Manilla 2d is a great theme, but Im only on a unlimited messaging plan so i cant make use of the weather, maps, and youtube functions. Furthermore it refuses to use my defaulted contact manager or text messaging manager.
Use a ROM without M2D.
Info is helpful...what ROM are you using?
I hate to be this guy, but i used a hard reset to get rid of my M2D and now it runs just fine. Remember to back everything up and you'll be ok. Take the jump! :]

This sounds like it might be the only option at this point. Might I recommend PIM Backup to back up all of your info.
As stated in the M2D thread "IF YOU USE THESE BETA FILES EXPECT TO DO HARD RESETS EACH TIME A NEW UPDATE COMES OUT"
This would apply to uninstalling M2D as well.

Alarm5.wav randomly plays

I've asked AT&T for help with this, but they just say, format the rom and start over.
My issue is, throughout the day, at seemingly random times. Alarm5 will play for no apparent reason. There is nothing on the screen. It just plays. I've used SKTools to clean up phantom alarms, to no avail.
Ideally, I'd want to figure out what app is causing this to happen. Because it doesn't start until I install all my apps.
Apps I have installed
SKTools
SPB Mobileshell
SPB Weather2
SPB Time
SPB Phone Suite
youtubeplay
PocketTwitter
Skybook
GooSync
3dtracking
Googlemaps
GPS Test
Kaiser Notification Setup
Live Search
Opera 9.5
Palringo
PowerSMS
SPB Backup
WMWifiRouter
Anyone have any ideas either what app might be causing this or how I can locate what is causing it?
It keeps waking me up at night. I tried to just delete Alarm5.wav but it seems to be protected.

I have had issues with SPB Phone Suite, MobileShell, and Kaiser Notification Setup (if that is the app that changes the blinking light colors and patterns). I cannot remember which one of the the three I listed would randomly disable my sound throughout the day.
Try installing one app at a time use it for a few hours and then install the next. It is unlikely those apps are must haves because there are so many other options.
found it. Kaiser notifications has a feature to alert you of unread txt messages... grr... damn..

TF3D and Mobile Shell

I keep going back and forth between the two on my Imagio, but I think once we get TF3D 2.5 I'll be able to stick with HTC's software. Question is: Will the Imagio handle it well?
BTW thanks for the resource here!
me too, I have been going back in forth between the current touchflo version on the Imagio and SPB Mobile Shell.
Has anyone come up with a tweak yet for touch flo 3d 2.5 for the Imagio.
SPB MS 3.5 for me
I have been playing with TouchFlo since the first version on the HTC Touch and it is just too much work. I downloaded MS3.5 and I couldn't be happier. It takes up fewer resources and the customization is as easy as dragging and dropping. I use the leisure theme with a five panel widget home screen. You can add picture frames as widgets among other cool items. The contact management is integrated with Facebook automatically and the smart dial is awesome. If I decide I want to do custom icons later, I can get as deep into the xml component as I want.

See, now, I get the whole "pretty" thing with this shell, but I found it to be just too confusing because it has a lot of redundancies. On the other hand, TouchFlo by HTC is really powerful, but it needs more "clues" to find all of its functionality. Idunno..I just wish we could get this thing hspl unlocked so that the gurus can start cooking up some new roms..
TF3D does not work for me. I need to quickly check email and delete tehm on the fly and access many parts of the phone. Why cant we load the new Sense UIon the Imagio. MS 3.5 is great but the contacts and dialer are badly broken. I cant search for contacts easily by typing parts of the name (only searches file as field) and from the dialer screen you cannot get into the details of a contact to E.G. select an alternate number to dial.
I have been trying both on my new imagio, and am currently sticking with SPBMS3.5. The main reason is that for some reason, the text messaging interface with TF3D messes up my ability to rotate to landscape when replying to a message. I am not sure why...
I have hard reset, and it works for a short period of time, because it seems to be using the standard Winmo texting interface. After receiving a message from a contact, the interface seems to switch to a custom TF3D version, and I can no longer use the landscape keyboard.
Plus I like that I can have virtually all the things I need on a sweetly configured main screen at one tap.
My two cents...
Gary
The folks over at PPCGeeks have unlocked the Imagio! And there are a number of ROMs already ready for flashing. As for TF3D and Mobile Shell, I have found no issues with TF, and with the new Cookies home tabs, its even easier for me. I tried that mobile shell, and there were too many reduntant applications, and by the time I got what I wanted set up, it was several pages between what I really needed and what I needed to go through. That, and after a couple days, my phone started to really get buggy. I finally gave up and went back to TF.
Now, that was before flashing to an Energy ROM. Things are much better now! Check out PPCGeeks HTC Imagio section, several ROMS there waiting for you!
You know I just saw those this weekend and they look very promising! Especially the MaxManilla on the horizon. I am not sure whether to go with Manilla or Cookies...Any thoughts?
As for the TF3D and texting, I did some googling and found the fix. Sorry, but I can't remember, but I think it was on PPCGeeks. Had to add some manilla reg values and change one other and voila! It works now. Still not sure if I like TF3D better than SPB, but I am giving it a shot. What I do like is that SPB can have multiple weather cities. I don't think that I like the 3D mail reader on either app.
Thanks again for the tips.
Gary
