Hi, I have an hw6515 with a corrupted original Rom (0.92) and that it is imposible to upgrade via USB using the Huu rom upgrade application from HP. Then I´ve tried many things and discover that I can upgrade an entire image. I tried a hw6515c image, bigrom, Ipaqdisk from file farmer and everything works. Except my radio rom that is not recognized when I use the HP asset application.
So, how can I upgrade the original NBF files from HP not using activesync connection and not using HUU rom update utility from HP? How can I use the Romupdate utility (mtty) to update only Rom radio OS and Radio File system? Is there any command in DOS, Windows or Linux. How can I map the entire rom?
this cant be done with a corrupted rom i think the only thing can you do is reboot the device in bootloader mode and try it
enjoy it!!!!

I have the same problem.
After flash my 6515d to change from ENG to ITA, the update is go bad.
so I have reset it in engineering mode ( pressed powerON - camera - Joystic -Soft-Reset ) and reflashed with sp33246 downloaded from HP.
When reflash the device, it stop at 0,1% at upgrade Radio Stack.
I have removed radioOS.nbf and radioFS.nbf writing ";" at the beginning of them line in the file hpRUU.ini and reflashed the device.
This time the flashing is go on and my device is good started but the part of radio is off.
I have seen in many forum and the problem seems being that in the servicepack downloaded from HP the files radio are only upgrade and not working if in the device there isn't already a software radio.
So the only way for reset completely the device is to restore an backup,
but I don't have any backup of my device.
Can anyone share the backup of its device?

Tell me how can you change your language ??(becouse i know this cant be done )
try it with th same language of your device
enjoy it
***nEuEzIeL***
Yes, the change of language dont can be done.
but I did not know it and I have forced the flashing with an crakked program.
The flashing is go bad and now I have no image of old device.
The reflashing of the rom with upgrade of HP fail at %1 and the only way for to return at the old operative system is the restore the OS from the SD.
Please, can you share a backup of 6515d (english ) ?
Tank.

I have the same problem, i need help because i investigate a lot but don't know what to do now exactly...If you go Hp, they ask you for 300$ motherboard.
I Everytime stucked at 0,1% : I Try a lot of HPRompackage,
Modified rom, modified installer Hpruu, etc..
The Rom dump via d2s : doesn't include the gsm parts
We need arguments and specify a adress range :
if you want i have a radiorom dump of the
Adress : d2s 60000000 800000,
and the radiobeetlespatch.
But i don't know exactly how to investigate more the good adress.
I think we have to delete and rewrite manually good adress range.
I can find you a lot of rominstall to change language,
( not the problem just modifications in nbf files with winhex)
I investigate a lot the bootloader, have password pass 1, etc...
Try to listen with Usbmonitor, look dump of ram memory with winhex,
etc... So a lot of way to investigate and a lot of solutions for other device very close to our 6515.
So I send to everybody ask me a complete packages of the tools & rom who can help, and my extended info.

Tank you for your share.
I am trying to flash the rom from sd card.
I have downloaded a rom image of 6515 and I must put it in the SD card.
After to backup the PDA over SD with romupdate.exe dowloaded from :
http://www.filefarmer.com/2/dmc8742
with d2s, I have put the card ( SD 512 MB ) into card reader and ran
ntrw ( hw6515_bigrom112.zip in the link above ) for write bigrom112.nb1
into SD, but something does not work!!! My SD is blank.
I have an image of rom : IPAQROM.img and I could also try to mount it on the SD but I know that I have to use IPAQDISK.
I have tried to find it for many days on the web but I have not found it!!!!
I think that the single way for to resolve the problem is to make the flash from the SD card.
Makes to know your news me.
The single way that we have to resolve the problem is to work together.
Excuse for my English
Hi.
- For the problem of Dead Radio, nos gsm, and asset info blank,
A Classic Rom dump doesn't take the radio Gsm part.
- Flashing Bigrom or RomDump of a working device can only help you
to have extended memory on External rom, or to change language.
- When you do d2s, Romupdate format the sd in a special format when writing your rom. After copy backuped rom to your pc and finish by copy the new Rom on Sd via Ntrw. Move the sd from pc to pda, Finish via hard reset (1/Power 2/joystick down 3/Reset stay 5 sec, you see bootloader lightly, unpress in good order
1/ Reset 2/ Others. You see bootloader HP v0.21.
After few seconds "press action buttons to flash"
It's normal that the sd is blank, because it's a special formatted via d2s
for the pda can boot so pda os & os pc ask you if you wat to format.
So you can't see the file writed by ntrw, but she is ready for flash, if you follow steps & the bootloader stuck in bootloader and don't propose to flash, it's a problem of rom compatibility.
- So the D2s command don't take the gsm part.
I think we have to specify the good adress range, it's why
the file radiorom in my package is a rom dump d2s 60000000 800000 of a working device. If i copy back on the working device, he says upgrade radio stack and ok so solution is not too far.
Try it but my device don't wan't to take back this rom, stucked on "calculate checksum" on the pda and nothing never happen. If i do checksum command it's ok, but if i do a checksum 60000000 800000 he stuck too on "cal checksum".
So i think we have to erase manually with erase command & wdata, but really not sure to not brick more the devices but it's how they can solve the problem on other device...
Can't access bootloader menu on my hp 6515
How can I access bootloader menu on my hp ipaq hw 6515?
I tried all combinations POWER + Joystick + Camera + Reset
I only get a screen with message: Serial - hp - v0.21
This was because a ROM update went wrong...
Thx,
shaker308
That screen you see with Serial -HP - v0.21 IS the bootloader screen. You need to then connect the ipaq to a computer and use a terminal software to access the bootloader menu
ok... I didn't know that was the bootloader screen. I'll try what you told me.
Thanks cluurk.

Don't Drop The Shift!
This info will serve useful when upgrading to a larger HDD.
Also, I just did an experiment so that no one else has to do this.
Yesterday, I was rushing around my office to do something and I stepped on the power cord of the Shift. Well, it slid promptly off the desk and onto the wooden floor!
So I spent all night and all day trying to restore it back to Win 7, but the "Startup Repair" could not fix the error. I used DOS prompt perform chkdsk and some other basics, but it still always goes to "Startup Repair".
The good news is that the Shift can sustain a fall from a standard desk height onto a wooden floor.
The Bad News is my OS won't boot! It stops at \Sys32\CI.dll (and this is not a good place to stop)
I have to do a full install again since I was just thinking about getting around to doing a backup and put it off 1 day too long! (MAKE YOUR BACKUPS!)
Luckily I have that 120GB HDD coming so I'll need to do this upgrade anyway....
Clone Your Drive For Free -XXCOPY
I just found this pretty cool tool called "XXCOPY"
(Not "XCOPY" like you are used to in DOS, it is called "XXCOPY")
http://www.xxcopy.com/index.htm
I saved it to an external USB drive, then opened DOS.
I ran D:\XXCOPY> Install.bat (an installed to default directory of X:\Windows\System32\
Then I ran X:\Windows\System32> XXCOPY C:\ D:\Shift_BKUP\ /CLONE
and it backed up pretty much everything it could, to my external USB drive.
I had problems with the normal DOS XCOPY, as it can't do names over 255 chars (i.e. things in your Recycle bin) so I went on the hunt for a free way to backup files. (I decided a free way was best for me since Acronis is redundant once I get Window 7 to make a full restore image. (I just happened to "Crash" my PC before I made my image)
My Shift Crashed (after falling off my desk onto the floor) and I can't boot normally any longer, so I needed away to pull data off this 1.8"-never-gonna-find-a-connector-to-my-pc-40GB-HDD so that after I rebuild my drive, I can move appropriate stuff back.
Overall, this free utility came in Extremely handy, and I would recommend you install it via Windows or DOS anyway in case you need it.
Dear all,
Can I reinstall my Shift Windows 7 or XP? coz now I cannot make recovery it said "HDD Bad" this is mean my hard drive was error and need to change a new one.

Hello guys,
After more than a week of non-stop reading and trying to fix my problem I decided to register here on XDA Forum and ask you guys for help.
I'm wonder if there is a solution for problem I have with HD7 and of course to confirm if I'm right...
Maybe it's very simple to fix, but I don't know how and because it's my first broken phone for +10 years I spent so much time trying to fix it.
Okey so let's stary short story about my phone... I bought HTC HD7 phone in ~Jan/Feb 2012. From that time I flashed it many times with custom roms and used RSPL/HSPL - no Goldcard and service Jtag.
Anyway there was something wrong with that phone - not really know what, but with no reason and randomly its software hangs and after reboot loose all data - this happen to me few times before. (I bought it brand new).
And now 8 days ago this "Memory Loss" trick happens again. But this time, there was no way to initialize system again - I mean OS startup and displayed some first initialization steps, but... wait a second: "Low storage memory" message appears. So I see memory card was not recognized and in about it shows 13MB of Total space and 0MB free. So I started researching and reading and of course from beginning I expected that microSD card is damaged.
This tooks me 8 days and my rooms now looks like, so please guys help me

... and problem still not fixed
------------------------------------------------------
1) I spent few days on downloading recommended software by users with similar problem to mine - Format SD card issue after WP7 (used on a PC, laptop...)
- ..and also I reflashed my old HTC G1 to get more disk tools bundled into FW and tried from basic DD wipe these protected cards...
Status: No success. (I didn't knew before how SD Protection really works...)
2) I found out on Microsoft website note about WP7 and SD cards. (everyone should read):
MS WP7 SD Memory: goo.gl/LMQ2l
:highfive: High five for Microsoft - I believe people now complain how Microsoft sucks is because of use protected area of SD cards in new phone OS and I guess they complain exactly the same when Microsoft is not secure enough... :silly:
Okey so I found great short list of devices that support Protected Area of SD cards and are able to format it/erease them. There was highly recommended (and I agree too) to use Nokia phone on Symbian - FAST AND 100% WORKING. Unfortunately a friend with N95 could bring me that phone at next one day and it was morning, so I was looking and trying other devices...
Status: (broken?) microSD not recognized by Nokia 6600.
Next day status: (broken?) microSD after 3 errors successfully and quick formatted. Double checked, wiped and looks like it works fine. Thanks to Symbian and Nokia N95
NOTE FOR EVERYONE who has a problem with protected SD after WP7/8 and it's not visible anywhere (PC, WP7/8):
GO AND GET NOKIA WITH SYMBIAN AND DON'T WASTE TIME!
3) I installed back to the phone 8GB SanDisk microSD card freshly formatted in N95 and then on PC to FAT32 Primary partition with cluster size 4 and 8KB, but the card was still not recognized. Not even touched... I used for test other 2GB and 4GB one but I was thinking that maybe these are smaller and maybe too old so not compatible. However the 4GB one was 2nd class card.
4) I listen to someone's who wrote on a forum: "go and buy new one it must be working". So I bought one - SanDisk, model exactly the same mentioned by a user who successfully fix microSD WP7 issue.
Status: brand new microSD not recognized.
5) And now is a time for ONE of TWO BEST jokes on XDA I found. It's: RUU_Schubert_XBMOD_V1.01
I spent more than 2 days trying to flashing this ROM with different Radios and trying to update HD7 with the StorageLock.cab
But how to send anything to device with not enough space and with the ROM that brings huge space around 3MB?! ...and the words of another genius guy who say that this method works 100%. And to be sure do this from Goldcard (not explained what).
6) So I made a Y-cable like connector - used two USB ports from some old USB-hub and power source from the same dismounted little bit USB Hub. Connector looks like a USB in a condom:
------------------------------------------------------
IMAGE LINK: goo.gl/9C98o
------------------------------------------------------
7) CID I read using my old BlueAngel/QTEK 9090/MDA III Pocket PC device running Windows Mobile 6.5 - custom from XDA of course ;]
8) When Goldcard was ready and S58 cleared I used it to flash XBMOD ROM as mentioned. No way to update it with that Cab. It was hanging at next reboot after applied .cab.
9) So I decided to mod this ROM little bit and cut it from Office and other things and include app in it. I'm not sure I've done it okey, but when I run Storage Lock, the app starts, notified me that SD card is unlocked. And asked to lock it? When I choosed Yes the Fail message appears.
So still not working...
If someone would to use lite XBMOD with bundled StorageLock inside the ROM as System part:
DOWNLOAD XBMOD w/ StorageLock included-----------
LINK: goo.gl/mpkP0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
10) And even I listen to this stupid and unbelievable idea that back cover with WiFi antenna needs to be properly installed - otherwise SD card will not be detected - I made fake one for tests and I added additional 3 Ohms resistor to make more real if there is installed some measure software...
Still nothing.
11) I flashed many ROMS through DIAG mode and classic method (Vol-Down + Power) - and I didn't get back my SD card recognized.
Here is a list of FW I tried:

And now I would like to ask some questions... And please bring all ideas you have... Thank you!
Q1] How device PVK can be loosed?
Q2] How to restore or generate correct one device PVK key and finally how to apply it?
Q3] Missing device PVK key cause SD card initalization (I think yes.)?
Q4] Is it possible to prepare ROM wich will include in the system all these StorageLock, StorageFullTool, and other HTC test tools? Let's say a very lite ROM with basics and tools to manage the unit that will work without inserted SD card? Is it possible to cook ROM like that? Any ROM Maestro can do this?
Thank you!!!!!!
Have a nice day!

Hello. No, I never installed this one. ;(
I'm wonder if there is some phone initialize Rom (?)...
And what about Windows Phone activation. Is this the way to get valid PVK? Does anyone know if there is a way to restore even not valid PVK files? I would like to use this phone even without Marketplace and other...
Hey guys. Sorry to bother you in the X98 section, but since there's no section for the X80 yet and maybe the devices have some similarities, I hope it's ok.
The tablet worked fine, but to remove any possible bloatware under Windows or Android, I reset Windows. Somehow the device must have crashed (low battery?) and now I can't boot to Windows anymore (black screen and / or boot loop). Of course I made no backup / recovery disk. Android still works fine and I still get into BIOS / UEFI.
I tried reinstalling Windows via OTG with USB stick. I got to the point where I can choose a partition. Problem is, there are lots of partitions (Android, recovery, System and so on). I located the Windows partition, formatted / deleted it and tried to reinstall Windows on this partition. Just the exact way I would do it on a PC. Somehow it won't install on this partition. The error message says something about "the partitions are not in the recommended order. Further information for installation on GPT-volumes..." (I don't know the exact English phrasing because everything is in German). I chose "continue anyway". Then I get the message that "the EFI-system is not formatted in NTFS. Format the partition to FAT32 and start install procedure again". I press ok and get back to Windows Setup (Install now).
I also tried different repair and recovery options. One time I got error code 0xC0000034. Funny thing is, Windows still seems to be there because while trying to repair / recover I tried to load some drivers and could see the hard drives and folders under Windows.
I tried downloading the original roms here: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qYEa8gc
You need a Baidu account for the larger files and after days and days I gave up to create such an account as it seems to work only with a mainland China number. There's an option for oversea mobiles but that's not working. I tried a QQ-account, but Baidu wants to link with it and you need that telephone number again. So apparently there's no way to get the original files that way.
I found some stuff here: http://www.needrom.com/download/teclast-x80-pro-dualboot/ but that's only a tutorial file in Chinese and some flash programms / drivers (also got them from Baidu - smaller files are possible to download without an account).
Long story short: I guess recovering Windows 10 is too much effort, so I want to make the tablet Android only and of course want to use the whole capacity for Android. I found a thread on reddit about removing Windows on the X98: https://www.reddit.com/r/teclast/comments/479eua/teclast_x89_how_to_remove_windows_10/
But I have no idea which partitions are definitely needed for Android and which ones I can safely delete. I found a partition map here: http://wheresmykeyboard.com/2015/08/teclast-x98-air-64gb-dual-boot-default-partition-map/ but that doesn't help me that much because they look different.
Attached you will find a photo of all the partitions on my device. I guess there are some which were created during the failed Windows installation because I had about 20 GB free space and now only 17.7 GB.
So is there anybody out there who knows if it's possible to remove Windows completely and which partitions I have to delete?
Did you ever figure this out? I just bought an X80 Pro and was thinking of doing something similar since I plan on making it an android-only tablet.

Hi. Sorry for the late replay. Yes, I figured it out and my X80 Pro is now running Android-only with 32 GB. In the end, it wasn't that hard but a long way to success.

Yes please tell us how metalaxi , it'll be much appreciated.:good:
Ok, guys. Since some of you are asking how I did it, I'm going to try to explain it. It's kinda embarrassing that I don't remember the exact way but I hope it helps somehow. I used the tutorial from this site: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/x80-plus-android-os-only/#login
Even though it's supposed to be for the Plus model, it also worked on the Pro. Btw, the guy Alex in that thread is me .
You can download all the files from my Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxEFqy4Rt9w_cnh3VG9ySk5sOHM
You need
- Android5.1 Upgrade Tool.rar
- X80 Pro (E3E6)- Dual OS - Android5.1-V1.04 Firmware.rar
- gpt.rar (Credit goes to Allember @techtablets-forum; hope it's ok to spread the file)
First you have to install the flash tool. Unrar the firmware and replace the gpt.bin. Then flash the firmware by checking BLANK.
Problem is that when I did all that, my Windows was already crushed and wasn't working anymore. I can't remember anymore if I erased the Windows partitions or any others beforehand. If you're not interested in Windows anymore, just flash it without changing or erasing any of the partitions. I guess by replacing the gpt-file, you do all that automatically.
I hope this somehow helps you. Feel free to ask for more help.
Have a good night!

Hi @metalaxi. Do you think its possible to like "reverse" and use the same files to remove Android instead and maintain the Windows 10? Appreciate to hear from you. Thanks!
Do we have to change the gpt before doing what you said in your PDF? Or I have just to follow your PDF?
Hi guys, got mine a few months and want to get rid of the Windows part, but the instructions are insufficient for a joker like me.....
1. Download the firmware, its 4 parts of rar being zipped together
2. flash the firmware HOW?!?!?! I have no Idea...... please give us some closer instructions.

Sorry, I can't answer that sufficent enough. As far as I know, you can just delete all partitions except the ones from Windows. Then format the unallocated space and merge it with the one from Windows. No guarantee!

1. Which 4 parts do you mean?
2. To flash any firmware, you need to install all the upgrade tools:
IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.5.0
iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.2.0
PhoneFlashTool_5.3.4.0_internal_win32

It is not so hard. By mine it was only trial and error. Installiert all drivers an go in the bootloader with three Finger method. Go two levels up and go into bootloader. Then connect to PC and look in Intel flashing tool if connection is reconiced correctly. Select the downloaded file and select flash. Thats it. Device will reboot and you are ready to go.

Thank you for the advice. That's right, I did it was marked. I found a reason. rom file was saved on desktop, and had a long name (as I downloaded it) It must copy the file to C've renamed the firmware. Everything went alright. I downloaded and used the GPT files for resizing disk and now goes all right. Thank you for responding to my question.

Straightforward if you can obtain a USB stick capable of storing over 7GB (some 8GB sticks may not); USB hub (ideally a powered hub); USB keyboard; OTG cable.
1) Obtain the Windows files of the correct firmware. The procedure outlined here is for E6E9 firmware, but other firmware will be similar. Download the circa 6.5GB E6E9 firmware Windows files from https://yadi.sk/d/XEvRsoiD3Q4vKX or https://mega.nz/#F!I0AXGR5C!YiNFkZL9DIvzepH28qAjEQ (or from appropriate source for your firmware version).
Decompress the downloads as required to obtain six folders and two files.
2) Format the stick to FAT32.
3) Name the stick WINPE (five uppercase characters).
4) Copy the previously mentioned folders and files to the USB stick.
5) Plug USB stick and USB keyboard into hub; plug hub into OTG cable; plug OTG cable into tablet whilst the tablet is off.
6) Turn on tablet and immediately start tapping << Delete >> key on USB keyboard. This should open the UEFI config section prior to Android boot option. If the tablet displays the Android boot option, turn off the tablet, wait a few seconds, then turn on and start tapping << Delete >> key on USB keyboard again.
7) When in UEFI, touch the title menu option of << Save and Exit >> and look in the << Boot Override >> section for the name of your USB stick, then touch the name of your USB stick. The screen will immediately go blank as the tablet starts to boot from the USB stick.
8) After a few minutes, a numerically display of progress will be displayed in a CMD window.
9) After reaching 100% and nearing completion of the overall installation, the tablet will prompt for acceptance, so accept that prompt.
10) The setup will run a few final operations for a few seconds, then automatically reboot.
11) Done.
You will be prompted to complete the OOBE on each Windows boot until you complete OOBE.
Hello.
I know this forum is for X98, but i didn't found more proper one to ask about X80.
Does anyone have original firmware (Android/Windows) for X80 Pro E6E9?
The link on official website doesn't work anymore (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/swbmvr0eha8zgk4/AAAEl6UfFjHZ0BHcmOP_Cfuma?dl=0).
I've found it on baidu.com (https://pan.baidu.com/s/1dFEeKPb#list/path=/), but I cannot download it.
Can anyone help me?
I've found it and i've uploaded it to mega:
https://mega.nz/#F!I0AXGR5C!YiNFkZL9DIvzepH28qAjEQ
Thanks a lot torzech!
By the way where did you manage to find it??
I'm looking for a custom rom for this tablet but cannot find many things...
I don't speak English well.
Please help me, I don't find firmware Lineage 13 or 14.1 on Teclast X80 Pro.
Please, help
Do we have any Teclast X80 Pro (E6E9) users here?
I'm looking for the best Android ROM, but it is very difficult to find one.
Can I ask you for help?
Install
Hello,
How can i install the rom you have sent from the mega server?
X80 Pro: Windows 10 1909 19H2 (18363.476), 10GB free with Android
For those of you still using these tablets with Windows the following might be interesting. On 4PDA (Russian equivalent of XDA, more or less) there is a recent post on how to refresh the Windows installation on the E3E9 and E6E9 versions of these tablets. While I lost my original X80 Pro (by leaving it on a car roof, driving off and only thinking about the stowaway once we were on the motorway) I recently got back the second one I bought for my father (who recently passed away, sadly). While I had customised the Android installation on my own version I had not really touched Windows as a) I don't have much use for it, having used Linux since v0.92 and b) the lack of storage space in the Windows install meant it couldn't even update itself without running out of space. Now that I once more have one of these things taking up space in my laptop bag I thought to give it a workover to see if it could be used in a different way, seeing that the ageing Android version is not likely to get an update and not feeling particularly driven to try to port a more recent version of Android to this dying platform. I have an old Galaxy Tab 3 (which is Intel-based just like the X80 Pro) lying around which runs Android 7.1.2 just fine so it is not entirely impossible to create a port for this platform but... why bother?
Poking around 4PDA I happened upon a recent post describing how to install Windows 10 1909 (19H2) on these tablets and decided to give it a go. The post includes a download link (8.4GB) plus a short description on how to install the thing without the need for external USB hubs or keyboards. The relevant part of the description goes as follows:
Included versions:
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 Pro for workstations
Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC (17763.864)
Partition a USB memory stick (minimum capacity 16GB) with a single GPT partition and format it to fat32. For reference, this is what it looks like on my system:
Code:
Model: General USB Flash Disk (scsi)
Disk /dev/sdb: 16.0GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt
Disk Flags:
Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
1 1049kB 16.0GB 16.0GB fat32 win10_2019_LTSC_X80 msftdata
Extract the downloaded archive onto this partition. Have a look at the file named install.cmd, this is the script which initiates the install procedure. It is in Russian and uses code page 1251 so it will probably look like gibberish (e.g. Linux does not use Windows code pages). The essential parts of the script you'll want to know are the initial selection of which Windows version to install (1 for Home, 2 for Pro, 3 for Enterprise LTSC), the following question on whether to delete Android ('y' to delete it, 'n' to keep it) and the fact that it expects you to press 'y' after copying the two large DISM install files (sources\install.swm and sources\install2.swm) to the tablet. It will say something along the lines of Windows установлена. ... ерезагруз те устройство... which comes down to 'Windows is installed, press y to continue'. Do so when prompted or you'll be waiting and waiting and waiting...
Put the memory stick in a USB-OTG adapter, connect that to the tablet and boot the thing to Windows.
In Windows go to Settings => Update and Security => Recovery => Restart Now
A blue screen appears with a number of options. Select Troubleshooting => Advanced Options => UEFI Firmware Settings => Restart (the tablet will reboot into UEFI firmware settings).
In the UEFI settings screen go to 'Save & Exit' and select the USB memory in the 'Boot Override' section (somewhere lower down on the screen). The thing will boot to the Windows installer and the above-mentioned 'install.cmd' script will run. Press the keyboard symbol on the bottom of the screen to pop up the on-screen keyboard and select the Windows version to install (1: Home, 2: Pro, 3: Enterprise LTSC), select whether to erase Android ('y') or keep it ('n') and let the thing copy those two large archive files. Once greeted by Windows установлена. ... ерезагруз те устройство... press 'y' and the thing will reboot into the new Windows version... which only speaks Russian for now. If you know any of the Cyrillic-using languages select your favourite and be happy, otherwise select Russian (the top option). It will ask about localisation (I chose объединенное Королевство which stands for 'United Kingdom') and which keyboards to configure. Unless you're used to a Cyrillic keyboard you'll want to add one (select Добавить раскладку which means 'Add Layout') which you're more familiar with, e.g. США ('USA') or one of its derivatives. Once through this hurdle It'll ask for your WiFi settings. The rest depends on how you want to install Windows. For me that comes down to not using a Microsoft account, instead choosing to use a local account and saying нет ('No') to just about everything.
Don't know any Russian? Don't worry, just install one of the photo translator apps on your phone and point it at the screen when it says something you don't understand.
Windows is installed in the Compact mode, after the installation ~10 GB is available in Windows with Android installed.
Once ready you'll want to configure the thing to use your language of choice in the 'Time and Language' section in 'Windows Settings', recognisable by the clock-A-Chinese_ideogram icon, select 'Language' (A-Chinese_ideogram icon). Add the needed localisations to the device in the 'Add a language' section ('+' icon) and (once everything is installed) set the Windows display language to your language of choice. On the same screen select 'Administrative language settings' to set the language for the welcome screen, new accounts and non-Unicode programs to your language of choice. The thing will reboot and with a bit of luck it'll come back to greet you in a language you're comfortable with. This being Windows it sometimes gets stuck in the dreaded "Updating Windows, don't switch off the computer" screen. Should that happen you're probably best off repeating the whole procedure after force-rebooting the thing.
ONLY TRY THIS WHEN YOU'RE CONFIDENT YOU CAN найти выход из трудного угла
MAKE SURE THE TABLET IS FULLY CHARGED BEFORE TRYING THIS - IT CAN TAKE QUITE A WHILE
I used this procedure on a E3E9 version, it is advertised as working on E3E9 and E6E9. I have no idea whether it works on other versions, YMMV.
Once Windows has restarted you can remove the USB-OTG cable and plug in the charger.
Windows will need to be activated. Do what you have to do...
Is there a way to get 2004 on it?
I'm using the russian image, but now I have the same space problem by upgrading to 2004 as before
