ok hi everyone, my diamond, is like 95% perfect, i love all about the phone, but the only problem that i have is whem a put a mp3 sound for incoming sms the sound plays all thil end i cant stop it...
does any one have this problems!?
Every WinMo user has this problem, apparently.
not in everyone...
i have had a qtek s200 and it was not like this.... :S
but tnks any way
well that will happen....
Just trim the MP3 to the length you want and make sure you choose "ring" or "ring once" in the sound notification options,
alternatively just convert it to wav using acustica or something.....

Greetings to all,
Im looking for a program that will make my tilt ring "LOULDER"
any help?
thanks...
there's a simple work around that you can do.. which is editing your ringtones with a simple mp3 editor (wavepad) and increase the volume of the ringtone.. it takes like 30 seconds.
Audacity.
Or This Link Make My Ring Louder
haha i was "curious" so i clicked on the link. good one!
I do it by installing WOWHD plugin and selecting "Headphones" option. This trick make all sounds (ringtones included) a lot louder.
i got rickrolled T_T
Hello with my first post...
I love my Diamond very much but there is one thing that really really pisses me out. That is ringtone volume when you pick your own mp3 or waw ringtone. Whenever i use a custom mp3 as my ringtone i barely hear the ring even the phone is in my pocket. But there is no such problem with the original ringtones. Even with the ones you dl from the htc club page. I compared their properties (khz, bit rate, etc) with the custom mp3s and they all look same. You guys have any solution for this annoying problem?

You can edit the files and raise their volume. Use an audio editing app like GoldWave.
Yeah that worked for me!
I used this and set gain to 98 and the result is perfect!

Thank you mate...
Hi people!
Just got my diamond and i do love it!
just a few questions i thought some one could help out with. i have searched for answers to these but they do not seem to be answered or even asked.
To me they seem like obvious questions, but the way each person uses their phone is unique i suppose.
1) i use bluetooth headphones and after upgrading the rom to TOM_DiamondProject_v3.3_WWE from the stock rom the audio quality is MUCH improved. the thing when ever i try to enable audio booster it says i have no headset connected. now i assume the audio booster puts a few treble bass boosts on and ups the voltage on the headphone output. i am i correct in assuming that since bluetooth headphones have their own power and audio circuitry this feature is not needed for me or is there a way of getting the volum/bass/trable boosts enabled with bluetooth headphones? Not to boost the volume of the bluetooth headphones, as that is the domain of the headset, but to send a louder/bass singlal to the headset?
2) people have suggested disabling gprs/internet to save on battery. great idea but i am wondering, if some one sends me a picture, will the gprs/mms connection fire up and accept or will i get a text message, like my mum does, to direct me to a website to download the picture?
3) people have suggested turning of the GPS. whilst this is not a feature i would use ( i dont drive!) i cannot see an explicit option to turn it off any where, such as the comms manager.
4) am i correct in thinking that the touch flow 3d music tab will only play mp3? i have moved some aac encoded mp4 and m4a containred files into the folder and whilst the mp3`s are picked up by the music tab, the m4a/mp4 files are ignored. they play fine in media player so i assume this is a problem with the music tab? any way of making it `see` m4a/mp4 files?
finally.
5) i was hopeing the music tab would be like the cover flow on the ipods but its not. am i right in thinking that i have to sellect the album i want to play and then flick up and down to flick between the tracks? can i not flick between albums like you can on an ipod without selecting the album i want via libary -> albums -> album1 etc? in other words can i only flick between tracks and not albums?
thanks in advance for any help any one can give me!
p.s. while i remember, is there any way to make the text in the sms application smaller? with the keypad and the threaded sms there is no room for what i am texting. can i alter the screen real estate set asside to the previous sms at the top and make it smaller and then increase the amount set to what i am typing? can i make the font used in this program smaller? theres no need for size 14 fonts in sms on this screen!
1> Audiobooster wants the headphones connected to the miniusb port, try coreplayer or srs app to boost normal audio
2> If you've disabled data completely, you'd just get the sms with the link
3> This is managed by the system - GPS apps will open the serial port and the driver will power up the GPS. Bascially it's off until an app opens it.
4> Not that i've seen, but then I dont really use this part of TF3D - perhaps theres a plugin if you search?
5> Tracks from what i've seen from my limited use
Last one is set by going into settings->system->screen
Text size controls the text size of most apps.
2. You have two connections, normal Internet and MMS, only disable the internet one if you want. This won't save you much power though, disabling 3g and push is what saves you the most power. Aslong as your internet connection isnt always active basically.
5. You cannot flick through albums.

#25. Enable Audio Booster without headset-->HKLM/System/State/Hardware/Headset set the value to 1 (soft reset will bring it back to 0)
I'm pretty sure I've looked and searched all of the Xperia threads for a solution to this issue I'm having with my X1i.
Here's my problem: If I'm playing music (using WMP or the Media Panel) with the headset plugged in and a new SMS, MMS, e-Mail, Reminder, or ANY type of WM notification pops up, the track is halted/stoped/paused/or interrupted for a brief second to prioritize and play the notification sound and then resumes the audio playback. I've looked at all the sound settings to see if there was a new option (headset options) to prevent this from happening but have had no luck...
My only guess is that it has to do with the headset drivers or the notify settings in the registry.
The only solution I've had to work with so far is to un-check the Play Sound box for all the notification options available in Sounds & Notifications and check the Display message, Flash light, and Vibrate options to let me know when I get a new message.
I want to be able to have my notifications "Play Sound" when I get a a new notice OVER any playing audio (overlapping) through the headphones. When the headphones aren't plugged in (and the audio is playing from the speaker) notification sounds overlap (without stopping/halting the audio).
If anything, I'd prefer to have the notify sound play out only from the speaker and not through the headphones, as long as it doesn't interrupt the Mp3 playback.

I think this is fault of WinMo....
i don't doubt that it may be a WinMo issue, but the beauty of WinMo is the ability to edit and correct those little things...I'm hoping maybe one of the developers and ROM creating geniuses can help with either instructions of where to go in the registry to fix this or maybe even create little cab file that'll do the trick
I've tried 2 different ROMS in hopes of having that issue resolved....

I think it's an issue that winmo can't handle two seperate audio streams at once, so it stops one to start the other, but I may be wrong..

I don't think so since multiple apps will sound together (e.g. S2P & Core player). Make a backup and play around w/ the following:
HKCU/ControlPanel/Notification/AlertInterrupt (try 0 and 255)
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\Priority256 w/ lower value
Anyone else think that the lowest volume setting is really loud for ringtones? I was using a song ringtone that I transferred over from my EVO4G and it's really really loud for the lowest setting.
On another topic, I then sent it to my computer to try to edit it using a sound editor, put it back on the phone in a Ringtones folder like before, and now it doesn't automatically appear in the list. I hit the + button at the top, select the track, and then get an error that HTC sound set has forced closed and do I want to send a report to HTC. Now every time I try to even change the ringtone, it force closes. The only solution is to change the name of the Ringtones folder.... any ideas as to wtf is going on?
Thanks
hmmmm
Did you maybe change the format of the song when you edited it? Like from MP3 to whatever else, I did that once, I would look at that.
Mine is loud too, but I like that cuz i'm almost 60 lol
