I installed spb pocket plus on my newly bought htc touch viva but it didn't work like it is working on my imate jam. Why? How to solve this problem?
To have exact flavour of spb pocket plus , u'll have to disbale 3dmanila. Go to start>setting>today>items>TouchFLO (untick this).

Sorry to butt in, but why not use the latest version 3.1.1? this one is really designed for WM5 devices aside from WM2003
got the latest one mate....but ive unistalled it cos it caused my Vario to keep restarting...do you know of any programs which will use teh X button as close?

Hmmm.... that is very strange... it works flawlessly with my device, although you got a Vario and I got a K-JAM, maybe some difference in the ROM... or maybe conflict with some other software on your device...
I have been using Spb Pocket Plus on all my devices, Walaby, Himalaya, and now a Wizard, havent really had a problem where it reset. I'm not too sure of the names of other programs that have an "X" button that works like Pocket Plus, but there should be some out there.
smart key is one to look at for close function..i use it and spb plus v 2.5...i have not had any issues but it has been suggested that if you use them as a combo to disable the close function in spb plus to avoid conflict

i installed few programs on it
strangly
when the light turns off , it goes into DEEP SLEEP ,
i mean it never responds , even when u call it from another phone , the other phone shows it is connected , but the i mate doesn't ring or even blink .
i installed
- sms dr notification
- smart key with omap overclocking set on 240
- sunnysoft backup manager
- resco explorer 5.4
- total commander
and ETEN DIALER WITH SMARTDIAL

Strange...I would advice you to do a hard-reset, then try if it functions like it should and after every installation of a program try if it still functions like it should, if not, then you will know what program causes the problem.

well... to be honest
this is exactly what i did yesterday
but in my rush after the CLEAR STORAGE , and after i used the phone for one of the longest phone call in my life ( 97 min ) , i installed those programs , could it be a hardware thing?
if u want 2 advice me , which rom should i upgrade to ? i don't need it just to be fast , but stable , with important extended rom components only , no pre-fixed settings for the GPRS and MMS , and finally i can use my attached ( arabic ) keyboard with it ?

Hhmm...strange issue we got here.
Unfortunately I do not have any experience with other keyboard layout's.
So the best is wait to someone that has some experience with it to read this and can help you out. In the meanwhile, I will search the forum for you, I have about 20 minutes before my girlfriend comes home...let me see what I can find for you.
If you want to upgrade, take on of my Roms (read the feedback from other members), it's fast, it's stable and you will love it (I hope)

I think it is not a hardware thing, I made a phone call for about 4 hours (!!!), with my girl that lives about 3 kilomteres away ( ), so I think not that it is hardware related.

You don't have spb pocket plus or any spb products installed by any chance do you?
I found that pocket plus has that effect on caligrapher on my ameo running wm5. Its a known issue and can be found on spb product forums.

You can if your not using TF3D, and are using Spb Pocket Plus as well....
...perhaps you dont need Pocket Plus (?) but thats how I get about using it!
I am using TF3D and would like to see it in the home page or at least in a sepereted TAB

Hi,
I installed Spb Mobile Shell 3 yesterday.
And damn, it looks really cool and everything is fine except one thing.
When I'm starting S2P the loading-circel rolls and nothing happens.
When I switch to the circle-menue of Spb Mobile Shell 3 (I don't know how wo call it, I hope you know what I mean ^^) My screen freezes and I have to do a soft reset.
It's the same with the new Opera mobile. It also wont start, but if I'm switching to the circle-menue Opera starts. It's also a bug but anyhow it starts.
I like S2P so pls help me if you know any solutions.

S2p starts only if i have done a memory cleanup or close (exit) spb mobile shell.

I use the german 6.5 Rom by bauner, the combination Mobile Shell 3 - S2U2 works great.

i use spb ms 3 with energy rom 3 and s2u2 with s2p and it works pretty good, maybe u should change rom
the solution is disable 3D on spb mobile shell, only then start the S2P.
I try to find another solution, because I want to enable 3D. Something in the registry or other version of S2P....
Does anyone know anything?
