Hi,
I installed Spb Mobile Shell 3 yesterday.
And damn, it looks really cool and everything is fine except one thing.
When I'm starting S2P the loading-circel rolls and nothing happens.
When I switch to the circle-menue of Spb Mobile Shell 3 (I don't know how wo call it, I hope you know what I mean ^^) My screen freezes and I have to do a soft reset.
It's the same with the new Opera mobile. It also wont start, but if I'm switching to the circle-menue Opera starts. It's also a bug but anyhow it starts.
I like S2P so pls help me if you know any solutions.
Yes I also made a reinstall
Same problem here with s2p.
S2p starts only if i have done a memory cleanup or close (exit) spb mobile shell.

I don't know a solution but maybe it helps:
I use the german 6.5 Rom by bauner, the combination Mobile Shell 3 - S2U2 works great.

i use spb ms 3 with energy rom 3 and s2u2 with s2p and it works pretty good, maybe u should change rom
the solution is disable 3D on spb mobile shell, only then start the S2P.
I try to find another solution, because I want to enable 3D. Something in the registry or other version of S2P....
Does anyone know anything?

Hi,
I have the same problem, and I tried disabling 3D on SPB MS, but S2P still bugging.

I am an almost happy O2 XDA diamond user since yesterday.
However I cannot get the spb shell running.
Its installing and everythings looks fine, so far, but as far as I try to activate the "diary plug-in" = Heute Plug-in (I only have the german version running),
I need to go for a reboot.
Any hints ?
I havent found anything about this issue in the search ? Is it possible the problem is caused by different software in the O2 (german provider) software ?

i think you have to disable the TouchFLO 3D in the "today"-settings XD
i have the german version, too.
not sure if heute also calls today in that case

i got it working based on your description.
However it is instable. ... after I tried TouchFlo again, it crashed several time, when I deactivated Touchflo and activated SPB again .... strange ....
I think I will staywith the touchflo for the time being ... and hope for some bugfixes in ROM and SPB ;-) (or a new ROM without the O2 changes).

i just wondered if there is a way to integrate SPB time into TFL3D main screen so you could use the SPB alarm insted of WM internal alarm(it realy sucks) like it is in SPB shell? I think this will be interesting to many people using diamond.

I'm still having problems with youtube app. i've tried hard resetting but it's still saying no connection please try again or something. I'm tried turning proxy on and off and nothing happens.
does spb shell drain the battery more than the touch flo?

You just need to remove the program for the default to return, nice and easy.

personally I think its pretty good, I've had it on for a week or so now and its got everything I'd expect from it, I'd say its not quite as smooth as TF3D for scrolling large program menus but other than that its a great piece of software. not that I've noticed, I've not done any formal tests but it seems about the same and memory useage is about the same too.

sorry, just seen your other post. Yes it does use the same keyboard and you can switch from touch flo to shell easily but I'm not sure how easy it is to go the other way around. Since uninstalling shell immediately reverts the phone to touch flo I guess there should be a way of doing it but I've not seen one around.
I have installed SPB Shell 3.0 for a few days now and I like it more than TF3D.
I personally recommend it...

I find the same issue intermitently with youtube. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just keep going in until it works.
It might be due to the poor receptionn of my service provider (I am changing now). Or probably some bug with the version of the application we have. You can also try skyfire and just use the youtube web site.
ive used both spb mobile shell and touch flo, and i think spb wins against touchflo except for the media player part... though after a few days of using, ive encountered a bug i think, when i run need for speed underground it hangs at a black screen just after the loading message, i thought it was a minmo6.5 bug so i installed a game fix but still to no avail, ive also tried using teeter and this bug occurs too, i see the ball but all else is black but when the ball passes through an area, it becomes visible again.... lastly this problem occurs on the camera, it comes out black screen with the focus box in the middle, but once i go to options, its back to normal again.....
list of programs affected by black screen:
need for speed underground

camera
another problem:
i have htc album 2.5 and when i open it then go to lanscape, the picture flips to landscape but only after a few seconds then goes back to portrait...
now, i have reverted back to touchflo3d, the problems does not occur in tf3d2.. but i hate to go back to tf3d2, spb mobile is much better, i just dont know how to fix these problems... i believe that these problems are caused by spb mobile since it does not occur with tf3d2

I am currently happily running smaberg’s Touch X rom, and would like to have the option to use SPB Mobile 3. However if I where to install it onto the phone would all the HTC settings get messed up and deleted? Or is it just a matter of unchecking Touch-IT in the today screen and checking SPB?
Sorry this may be a really stupid question, but one I honestly do not have a clue about.

Install TFDetacher and use it to toggle TF3D. Install SPB Mobile Shell 3 and SPB Mobile Shell Toggler.
Then install AE Button Plus and bind one softkey to Toggle TF3D and Toggle Mobile Shell - then you can switch with a simple softkey press.

---> Yes, you can just disable Touch Flo 3d in the today screen and use MS3 as replacement today screen. Or you can combine both with the advice above.
can we make spb mobile as panels?
It´s better to install a ROM without TF3D if you has decided to only use SPB Mobile Shell.

no because you switch off one UI so it will only run one. I think that TouchFlo is thee faster of the too, but i am not sure...
I'm running Jack's 3.8m with SPB 3.0.1. Unchecked in today the TF3D box and everything is ok. They are not interfering each other and all settings from TF3D are untouched.

Ok..followed this advice and I have to say that its sound, and very good.
However for some reason using this method, when I disable TF3D I cannot use the start menu in SPB or any panel....
Any advice?
I'm running Ijte's Touch-It 10.2, and decided to install SPB MS 3 to check it out. Found out I liked it and it's been running on top of the TF3D ROM with no performance issues or messed up settings.

Check under Settings >SPB Mobile Shell >System. "Override Start" should be set to "No"
