i need help

sir, i just bought my kaiser from a friend what i found out that when i soft reset my kaiser there is a message above the htc logo "ui build for testing only!"
does xcpuscalar works in kaiser?
coz i installed xcpuscalar and everytime i use it kaiser always restart.....
still using original rom, not upgraded yet...
pls help

nope it doesnt work, there's no overclocking software for the kaiser yet

I think that's an early Tilt ROM that was "test only" but worked OK - if you aren't having any problems there's no pressing need to change - but there are newer ROM's out there, so read all about how to flash and take the plunge if you like, but read read read first!

If it is an actual AT&T 'Tilt' you own, you may want to try the new ROM release on the US HTC site which should be straight forward for a novice. If you are using another carrier then as the previous poster said, Read as much as you can about ROM upgrading on the WiKi before you even attempt a cooked ROM upgrade.

1.62.502.0 is not new!!!

Sorry read your link. It says 1/17/2008 I updated then and mine is 1.62.502

Is the one from the Europe FTP the same as US? I can not down load the US one. Maybe some one can post the US?

I don't think I am going to go through the pain and effort of a complete application suite reinstall just to go from 1.62.00 to 1.62.502
Maybe the US will get WM6.1 someday.

This is what the file name is, version number right? Take it at face value.

I'm lost - is this the latest 6.1 release or not?

Umm... Unless the ROMs have an RUU, and the correct CID, no. And, since I haven't seen an X1 RUU anywhere, I doubt you'd be able to flash a new ROM.

yes, its a beta version. so replace the shell32.exe from Shell folder in SYS with your original ROM's shell32.exe.

not an expert but doubt that a prereleased device have operator settings or comes with a contract for that matter

Almost come to a final decision but some questions come to mind. Is there any kitchen for xperia yet? Can the HTC Touch Pro's TouchFlo3D be installed to the Xperia?

Best bet is to wait and see if anyone can ripp the updated version of TouchFLO3D from HTC Touch HD which is released at christmas time - i mean same hardware and same WVGA screen!

how on earth do you flash it onto the device tho?

No I haven't downloaded it. I've gotta Hong Kong version so its a bit of mucking around to get as well as install. Probably update to it later.

im from asia philippines and i tried my serial number and it works but wont risk it

this is 6.1 rom upgrage for touch hd in australia

it has the same rom virsion like dutty's r5 rom 1.59

there is wm6.5 rom released officially for td2 at the same date in germany but for vodafone users

Looks like the ROM is outdated if you are using custom roms here. The Radio is still on 1.13

This is the latest ROM, created in Dec and released in January 2010. However there are links in the ROM development forum to this ROM.

i flashed this rom, got it directly from T-mobile site app out of date etc etc so much stuff have to be updated it not even funny.

if this is the official tmous sense 2.1 rom released this past january then this rom is terrible. I flashed it a couple days after its release and wished I hadn't very quickly. the stock 6.1 was way better. I ended up finding this site because of it. I don't remember much more then this rom was slow. im using jackos roms now theyre great and with cookie 2.0..... wow

ull need to find the temporary path of the setup,(start task manager>select task (e.g. setup.exe) with right click and select go to process>right click on the process and select open file location. (only for 7, vista in xp ypu have to search manulally)
copy the NBH file that contains the rom and use custom RRU to flash it.

I never tried the 6.1, but I don't doubt that it was faster. You might try the NRG ROM; I like it.

Yes, but why would you want to? I suggest a custom ROM. In any case, you will have to map your keyboard to ATT. Do a search for the cab.

Memory leaks, slow performance, ...
I never flashed it and kept it for more than 3Hrs
Jackos and Simplicity are the best Roms out there.

You might give it another try. I have no memory leaks, and the performance is fine, although I do overclock to 710 to make the transitions smoother. The latest versions have the capability to remove the start menu (with a couple of replacement options - I use the Sense replacement), and my free memory is around 90 after a boot and everything settles down.
As to why I run it? It looks nice, runs very fast (especially the latest ROMs), and is very stable with CHT 1.8.

yeah that is the 6.5 upgrade from the 6.1 it was running... we are still waiting for an upgrade... I did double check the 1.91.531.4 was the same I had on my hard drive... for back up... anyway any new ROM would be at least a 2.08.???.? or higher. How many of us should of realized that??
