You mean "flash" a new ROM. Cooking it means creating the ROM itself, which I don't think you'll be able to do for quite a while.
Yes, you should flash the stock, or a modified SWE ROM. See the Library thread for links.

but the new rom that i flash is stil in English? for exampel, i would like to have Itjes rom but it's in english, if i would like to have that in swedish i should try to sweet talk Itje to make a swedish rom or get da*n good in cooking..

It is working for me (happily I should say)...
I ran the hardSPL from cmonex (Thanks again!!) then flashed Tupidins Stock english ROM...
I am only having problems with Opera connectong via GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA but not through WiFi.. (anyone, any ideas???)
BTW, running XP on my PC for the HardSPL...

all my backups are in english. an many programs don't work in german rom. how can i change the name of storage card? in german is it speicherkarte.

Not without a Hard-SPL, which doesn't exist, yet...
You can flash your TP2 to another HTC signed ROM using QMAT.
This has been covered many times and should not be too difficult to find
QMAT has some limitations. Be careful using it.

Can I recook a "cleaned" Stock ROM and flash it using QMAT with the ProviderID? In my case it would be o2 Germany!

I agree with you
Dunno about WM but you can always change your manila language with no problems. If you want Dutch change the 'curlang' value in the registry to 1043.
Something's not right with the topic!
When I copied the other "reqest thead" i forgot to change the "dutch" with Swedish.
I think you all know what I ment by the way

So HTC Europe is for the WWE version and includes English as the default language?
- So it looks. Installed, language is English. Act likes the WWE.
And all national versions (ITA, NOR, FRA, etc) are localized in respective languages?
- Haven't tried, but based on above WWE/Euro experience, I assume this.
Also, do I need a HardSPL to flash, or this is really *official* as in no hacks required?
- Just run the exe, follow instructions. BACKUP first. It will zap all data - sans memory card contents.

I found this and I wanted to share, it's called liX-X2 rom, but it is a german rom... I am using it now, even mp3 works on slideview! But im not german but i want to stick to it... I was using an HTC hero with Android and it was possible to change languages... Now i got at X1 for cheap since i lost my other phone and i wanted to get a nice rom... Is there anyway to change the language of the WM rom? Im not used to this so sorry if i offend someone... My head hursts afther flashing so many roms...

.. if that is just as easy as ( in word docu) like "ctrl+f" find all (french code or word) and "replace with" (english code or word) that would be easy..
