[Radio] v1.09.25.35 - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

I already saw this on this sub forum, but no download link.
Now I was on the Diamond forum a saw the download link on the their thread about radio roms for the Diamond. Also there, this radio is referenced for the HD.
Here's the link,

It is old. The last is HD_Blackstone_Radio_1.10.25.25

Sorry but I don't think that 1.10 is the real indicator to show if the radio rom is newer or has a higher version number. I'm mostly sure that 1.10 is about a radio rom from a different region. Isn't this one from an arab rom?? All the other radio roms are 1.09
For me the last four digits are the ones that we must look out

can somebody really explain which is the highest Radio ROM Version? Maybe the country - opinion is right or not.. i do not know it. if its right, the highest ROM is this, if its wrong, the highest Radio ROM is the other one.. i have no idea.. thank you very much.

It bombs out on my Touch HD - tells me the device is incorrect and shows a pic of a diamond.
Growl

I try to put it in my device error code 240 at 4%. it's not for HD

no its not for the hd

im using 1.09.25.35 on my hd, download the radio from my site if needed

Dutty the link on your site to that radio results in a 404 error.

Anybody please confirm that v1.09.25.35 is newer than v1.10.25.25.

Newer I don't no, but almost 100% it's higher!! 1.09 or 1.10 does not mean higher or lower version. Probably it's about the region.

I've downloaded from dutty's site. I did not test it. I don't know if for real this is for HD. But I trust duttys that already test it on his HD.
Here's a mirror, http://rapidshare.de/files/42929139/Radio_1.09.25.35.zip.html
Don't ask for another mirror, cause at least rapidshare.de don't needed registration for upload files. If anyone knows a file sharing that doesn't need any registration for upload put the url here...

I got the posted ROM working with a little trick I picked up on the Raphael forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443146 (first post).
Credit goes to Kevlar-Source. Here's what you should do:
1. Open your nbh ROM file with a HEX Editor
2. Find the string value DIAM***** or the code 44 49 41 4D 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A [Byte 65 (Line 2)]
3. Change the string value to BLAC***** or to the code 52 41 50 48 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A [Byte 65 (Line 2)]
4. Save the file
Worked for me the first time I tried this
Hope this helps

I don´t have a good experience with 1.09.25.35 on my Touch HD.Very fast battery drainge and no improvements. I´m back on 1.10.25.25
I've downloaded from dutty's site and use USPL

I downloaded the 1.09.25.35 radio from Dutty's website and used uspl to flash to my Blackstone (still with the 1.14.405.3 orange rom),
No problems with the rom flash, radio signal seems to report a bar higher on H signals from my house and doesnt alternate back to G from H as much as it did, seems to hold the H signal better.
Also not yet experienced the GPS "problem" I had with the original 1.09 Radio where when tomtom first started the sat signal would flick between 0 sats and several sats for a few seconds until it could get a proper fix.
Can't comment properly on battery use yet but it doesnt seem any worse so far.

Dont suppose you could host it could you?, Dutty's site has exceeded it's bandwidth.

Download the Diamond one linked on the first page, extract and copy the .nbh into the same folder as this: http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm#download
and run XVI32. Do file open and point it to the .nbh and just change the DIAM***** in the right panel to BLAC***** and save.
Now you can flash by any of the methods after renaming to BLACIMG.nbh
DO NOT TOUCH THE CODE AS PROVIDED BELOW AS THAT STRING IS FOR ANOTHER DEVICE!!!
I am off to bed without flashing mine yet, so don't blame me for any trouble you may have

The file is corrupt
I've downloaded it twice and still only comes to 22.9MBytes. WINRAR hates it. The executable won't unpack either.
I would like to get the HA01_141 radio to try on my XV6600. If anyone has a link to a good copy of this file... let me know.

Which file is corrupt?
I downloaded it from here:
http://www.telecom.co.nz/content/0,3900,202143-203139,00.html
Then I had to do a couple of modifications to get it to flash using the magician patched flasher.
However, although it worked correctly with the Sprint EV-DO PRL for voice calls, the data connection was hosed.
It has some sort of special Kiwi customization in it . The #777 connection ends up with a password, even if I try to set it up from scratch (without running anything from extrom!). I remove the password and save the changes and then it comes back... it's obviously embedded in the HA01_141 radio ROM, and thus prevents my Sprint 6600 from connecting to #777.
The good news is that the Telstra and Verizon HA01_140 Radio_ roms do work for voice and data (although roaming isn't working).

Guys, I know this isn't room for asking.... but, please help me with my Sprint 6600 Harrier.
I just upgrade the new ROM (WM6.1) to my PDA. But this is my stupidity, i installed the ROM that use for GSM device, while my device is CDMA.
How to rolled back to WM2003 or higher for may PDA. Pleade guys help me.... I've desperate for this... (
Thanks for your kindnes...
You cannot upgrade the Sprint or Verizon 6600 model to WM5 or WM6 or higher. No one has yet to be able to do it. I've tried many times. You need to flash your device back with a Sprint PPC6600 ROM. The GSM ROMs are not compatible with your GSM device.
You should be able to depress the reset button with your stylus while pushing in the power and top button on left side all at the same time (a three handed job). This will put you in Serial mode (you'll see "Serial") faintly on a blanked out screen. Then you'll hook up your phone via usb cable to your computer. Then the "Serial" will change to "USB". Then you'll click on the ROM and flash it back to your Sprint PPC ROM.
There are some hacks you can do with your Sprint PPC 6600 which greatly improve its performance. There's some great Stereo Bluetooth drivers and lots of other stuff. You can unlock the extended ROM and customize the device quite nicely. You can even modify your device to work on Sprints EVDO Rev 0 network. You'll have to search this website and the Wiki to figure it all out.
@ Rambo6: Thanks for your respon.
But, I have no WM2003 ROM to flash it back. Or i can do hack my device with stereo bluetooth and unlock the extrom for flash it back?
You need to flash back to an original ROM. You need to find a ROM for an HTC Harrier (Audiovox/Verizon xv6600 or Sprint PPC6600). UT Starcom used to have these ROMs on their website. Last time I looked they were not there. I have one of these on a harddrive somewhere.
Do some web searches and you can probably find it somewhere.

P3600i SUCCESSFULL FLASH OF WM6.1 (includes instructions)

*** UPDATED TO MAKE A LITTLE MORE CLEARER *** Please do not ask for screenshots - time does not allow me to do it)
Thanks to Olipro, and some digging on my part (I just needed to dig around to figure out how)
Step 1 - Anyway First of all, load the Hard SPL to your phone from : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398742
Now, as stated in the first post at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=328147, we need to re-build the nbh file with a 401 tag rather than a 400 tag.
Step 2 - So, what I did was to download RUU_TRINITY_WM6.1_WWE_ASIA_3.12.YK.Lite extract into its own folder (Mary seems to work as well)
Step 3 - then download the custom ruu updated from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295113 - also get the rombaker for trinity as found further down in the post.
Step 4 - unzip the custom_ruu stuff, put in the downloaded trinity rombaker to replace extracted rombaker,
Step 4a - Copy ruu_signed.nbh file that is found in folder created in Step 2 to the rombaker/workshop folder created in step 4
Step 5 - then use nbhextract (created in step 4) to extract the ruu_signed.nbh file that is now in the workshop folder
Step 6 - watch the output. (for file names)
Step 7 - Run the rombaker program and load the extracted files into their places (as referred to in step 6), then click generate NBH
It will ask you to save a file. call it new_nbh (or whatever you want) -
Step 8 - open this file (created in step 7) in notepad, and change the number 400 (about 5 lines down) to 401 save and exit
Step 9 - then open a dos/cmd/command.com window (whatever you want to call it), cd to the rombaker/workshop folder and then run the following:
nbhgen new_nbh.txt
NOTE: new_nbh.txt should be the same as the filename created in step 7
copy the generated RUU_signed.nbh file back to the RUU_TRINITY_WM6.1_WWE_ASIA_3.12.YK.Lite folder.
Your p3600i rom is now ready for flashing
----------------------------------------------
because the rom package doesnt know about differences in the p3600i bootloader, it cant jump to the correct bootloader and as such you will not be able to flash until you have got the new SPL from olipro installed, and running on the device - to do this, make sure step 1 has completed, then:
restart the phone by holding the power and camera buttons down and pushing the reset button simultaneously.
it should reboot into the 3 color band boot loader mode.
run the romupdate utility found in step 2
go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398742 and click on the "donate" button for olipro, and donate.
make phone calls.
Thanks

THEORETICALLY This should work with any trinity rom BUT
This method should work with any trinity rom. although it does not seem to work with Trinity WM6.1.Black Edition.OS Version CE 5.2.19701 Build 19701.1.0.2 by Akeo, nor the Elegance 6.1 rom - upon reboot I just get grey/white banding across the screen and it wont start.
One thing to note is that 1st boot seems to take ages, but after that it works great.

Well done. Pity it doesn't work with Black Edition by Akeo. That is a nice ROM and I would love to use it.
I really don't want an Ultra-lite ROM....I want something with all the trimmings.
Now we need a few ROM Cookers to come up with some good stuff for the P3600i.
I cannot for the life of me get the Hard SPL to complete using Vista.
I have gone through the process of putting the XP drivers on as per the Trinity Guide...not real sure why the phone needs to be in Bootloader mode for this, but I followed the instructions to a tee.
Where am I going wrong....I end up with error 260.
I will search again and see what turns up in the meantime.
Edit: I think I will try it from my Laptop tomorrow, it runs XP so I will see how that goes.

OK...this may be a really dumb question (so I expect offensive answers) but why does the standard HTC WM6 ROM work for both D810 (128 meg ) and P3600i (265 meg )......yet the cooked ROM's which work on the D810 won't work on the HardSPL P3600i????
Just trying to get me head around it logically.

the rom is the same, it is just that it gets put in a different place for the p3600i (401, instead of 400)
this is why the ruu_signed.nbh file needs to be rebuilt.

there is a guide to installing vista drivers that works - main thing is to get the phone into bootloader mode, delete the drivers and install the other ones.
thats all I did.
Tried that...didn't work for me but I will try from XP today sometime.

Then theoretically it should work on all cooked ROM's so long as the ruu_signed.nbh file is re-built.

Please Help me to downgrade to WM2003

Hi, I have HTC Blue Angel running WM6.5 and find that it struggles to run at this level, i am looking to downgrade to the original wm2003 that it came with, I am on Orange UK
Current Seetings :-
Rom Version : 6.5.23004EN
Rom Date : 06/12/09
Radio Version : 1.15.00
Protocol Version : 1337.45
Extrom version : 23004-xplode
could anyone help and tell me excactly what files i need to download to restore to original shipped state and exactly how to carry out the downgrade.
Regards,
John.
welcome to the forum!
ok, what you need is:
- a pc, preferably with windows xp
- a wm2003 rom in your preferred language, e.g. from -=xplode's shipped rom archive=-
-a RUU (Rom upgrade utility), you can try mine there (attached)
and then you go to the -=wiki wizard for downgrading=- and follow the instructions there or follow these shortened instructions:
1. hard reset your device: power+reset, then camera and record, change the values in the menu from No, No, Yes to YES, YES, NO using the camera and record buttons, confirm with the mail button.
2. put your device in bootloader mode
3. connect it to the pc using the cradle or a usb cable
4. extract the shipped rom in any folder
5. put the maupgradeut_noid in there and start it
6. have a look, whether the 2nd page shows device and rom information, if not, exit, start task manager and kill activesync (wcesmgr and wcescomm) and go back to step 2
7. start the "upgrade"
8. when it's done, perform a wm2003 hard reset by pressing power+reset, and wait for the versions to show up in the bottom right corner, if all the values changed from your previous wm6.5 versions, you're probably fine and done by now.
in very rare cases, something goes wrong, some combinations of pcs and devices wouldn't work with my ruu, but you would realise that at step6 or 7, try and download another ruu then and try again, i think there also is one linked in the wiki.
at the end, your device should read something like:
R:1.12.00
G:1337.42
D:1.06.02
with best regards

Bootloader
Hi i dont know if this makes any difference my Bootloader is showing Version 2.05 Reagrds.
no, it does not make any difference, since the bootloader's version is not the problem. before you go on doing anything, you should have a good look at this site:

and unless you are sure, the installation of the driver was successful, you should not attempt to flash the device, because then you will end up with a half-flashed device, that cannot be switched on and maybe also not flashed anymore.
http://firmware.atspace.com/ can't be accessed. is there any other site for wm2003se rom ?

ok, we are dealing with several different things here:
1. the storage resize:
no, it can only be done in wm2003, no way to do it in wm5 or above, you have to downgrade
2. while attempting to downgrade, don't forget to put your device into bootloader mode, before connecting and starting maupgrade, then there will be no device error anymore.
3. of course for downgrading you need the original rom, at best from xplode's shipped rom archive, if you can't access it, just tell me your favoured language and country, and i will look it up and send you the direct download link. btw. xplode's site works fine!
favoured languange : English
Country : Indonesia
please send me the direct link. thx a lot. chef_tony
since he doesn't have indonesian roms and you are fine with english, here are the links of 2 different UK roms, you should be fine with.
T-Mobile UK WWE 1.42.00 1.42.112 1.13.00 Download (Ziddu) / Mirror 1 (Rapidshare) / Mirror 2 (Megaupload)
O2 UK WWE 1.40.00 1.40.242 1.12.00 Download (Ziddu) / Mirror 1 (Rapidshare) / Mirror 2 (Megaupload).
i hope these links work for you.
thx a lot chef_tony. I almost forgot. I want to ask whether the different rom can drain the battery fastly ? because my battery drain faster using WM6.5.
the power consumption of the device mainly consists of 2 things:
- wireless communications (gsm, gprs, bluetooth, irda, wi-fi)
- hardware usage (cpu & ram)
the wireless does not really vary from rom to rom but much like on the pc, graphically more intense applications use more power and since wm6.5 has a much nicer shell, it uses more ram and cpu to run. that uses more power.
if you want to save battery, reduce the backlight intensity, let the device switch off faster and end all applications that you don't need and de-activate wireless communications that you don't use. still then the battery life is limited but that is something you will have to learn to put up with.
thx chef_tony. I want to ask about the memory used ? is it better with storage 42mb and program 90 mb or repart it into default which is storage 60mb and program 60 mb ? is this RAM configuration also affect the battery consumption ?
no, that has nothing to do with that, because you don't resize the ram, you resize the extrom and the storage. that doesn't have any influence, kind of like the size of the sd card does not have influence.

welcome to the forum!
ok, what you need is:

Recovering a harrier device

Ok, so I tried installing the WM6 rom on my device without knowing it was in fact a Harrier and not a Blue Angel. I now realize I was very stupid in doing this. Now when it boots I get the stripes on the screen and "No GSM, D 5.60.00 WWE" written in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Does any one have an original Harrier rom they could upload so I can flash it back to the original WM2003?
If no one has that, is there a way to copy the rom from another, identical device?
xplode has a great firmware archive, where you can find about any original shipped rom, for the harrier, you find it here: http://firmware.atspace.com/Harrier.html
Thanks Chef_Tony. Thats got it working again perfectly.
i have the same problem it now says no gsm ....
what software do i need to make it work again ?
thx

Again, find your carrier (I'm assuming that the phone was running the official ROM that it shipped with for your carrier) in that list and download the latest one available. No one can tell you which one to download as no one else but you knows who your carrier is.
The radio version doesn't matter in this situation as the OS is coded to deal with a CDMA radio stack, and most, if not all, official ROM flashers will flash the radio stack with the OS. You are going to have to flash it back to whatever OS and build (usually WM2003 for the Harrier) is provided in the archive. If there are multiple versions of the ROM/radio available, generally the newer ones are the better ones.
You shouldn't need anything special for this as you will be flashing the official ROM for the phone. Download, run the executable and follow the on screen instructions.
ok ive downloaded all from these links and it tells me each flash ..
the rom image is not designed for your device . error code is wrong country code !!
i tried simunlock and now have no gsm showing in boot .
it was on uk orange network the phone is spv m2000
thx
well, your device is a blueangel, this thread is about the harrier. it deals with people trying to recover their CDMA devices after a bad flash, you have a GSM device, a completely different phone, and also, the source of your problem is not the same. thank god, the flash did not work, or your phone would be bricked for good.
you need to do a completely different procedure:
1. you go to xplode's BLUEANGEL firmware archive at http://firmware.atspace.com/Blueangel.html and download any rom in your language / from your country. then you put your device into bootloader mode and flash the device using maupgradeut_noid, found here: http://rapidshare.com/files/322928773/Chef_Tony_RUU.zip
2. then, when you have wm2003 back, please post back for further steps to go.
thank you i will do as you said and report back thx mate , ps are you realy a chef because i am lol i have been a chef around 26 years.
ok downloaded the orange uk but its file is corrupt so executable failed ...
looks like im not going to win ..
tried other orange uk files further down the list but still says country error code.
yes, the country id error is the reason, why you need to extract the 40mb exe file, put maupgrade in there, from the link i provided earlier, another thing to avoid the country id error, is to put the device into bootloader mode before starting the upgrade process, so, before you put the blueangel into the cradle, you press record+power+reset, until the display shows "Serial" and "V2.0x" where x is a number from 5 to 7, then you connect the device and start maupgradeut_noid.exe, which has to be in the same folder as the nk.nbf and all the other needed files. using the maupgrade instead of the BAupgrade and using the bootloader mode avoids nearly all the errors, like country id, device id and so on.
EDIT: btw. i am not a chef, i am a system administrator, the avatar and username are just my regular online name, named after the most ridiculous chef on american tv ^^

Tony is right, your phone would have been bricked.
For future reference, when you post, make sure to list your carrier and the exact model of phone. Anyone in these forums needs this info to attempt to offer the correct information to help.
In my posts, as Tony mentioned, this thread was dealing with Harriers, the CDMA version of the Blue Angel. When you jumped in, I thought that you were talking about a Harrier as well.
Keep in mind that each phone has it's specific ROM designed for that single model of phone alone, they are not interchangeable.
hi
after long time thought i might have another go ...
all the links you have supplied dont work eg: file is corrupt is the message im getting when trying to install software to pc.
i need the factory cd rom for the : orange spv m2000
i have no gsm on the phone since i upgraded the phone to wm6.5
ce os 5.2.21169 (build 21169.5.0.0)

Yes it is possible I use it on my Blackstone without any problems.
Only thing you need think about is to download the one without anythings from HD2 and to download a radio for Blackstone.

"Just unzip and run task29.exe . You may replace ruu_signed.nbh with the radio of your choice."
If i understand the first post of the thread right, you have to exchange the supplied "ruu_signed.nbh" with a blackstone radio rom, as mentioned above.

you mean to say, you've used the Task 29 in the Leo/HD2 Thread and paired it with
a Blackstone radio and flashed this in the Blackstone?
and it all went well? how can one be certain that it has indeed formatted
the ROM partition of the Blackstones drive?

I guess the test would be to run it and let the phone boot up after. If there is no rom there will be nothing to boot into.
One can also use a splash.nbh file together with the Task29. It should be quicker as the file is smaller than a radio file.
ok, done some search and here are some good news
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5887613&postcount=81
nice
think i am gonna try it to see if it makes a difference
edit: performing it now will report if it will boot when its finished
edit2: the phone is defiently empty
i only see the samrt mobility screen
the red numbers in the right corner arent there either
gonna flahs a testrrom to see if it will work again
edit3: well it feels slightly faster but could be placebo
CONFIRMED: Task 29 Hex edited from HD2 thread
Task 29 from Leo thread:
Positively confirmed TO WORK for the Blackstone
but i have to install HSPL Olinex first
here are the steps i've done
1. made a folder and put together task 29 and added the .nbh file of Dutty
3.9xt (could be any ROM) note: i tried to pair it with a radio
.nbh file of Radio 1.17 but the process hit an error code while trying to run
task 29.
2. connected phone (using XP) then run task 29 exe file
3. when it finished (a long time) it booted but without the red numbers and
words on the lower right hand side - this is a confirmation that the device
has been formatted
4. made another folder with two files (DUtty 3.9XT .nbh file and the RUU)
5. run RUU (HSPL Olinex already installed previously) and the whole thing
worked
so im back with my FIRST EVER custom ROM for my old Blackstone
(got the HD2 now with TOpix 1.5.7
here is the Task 29 .exe file (use the first one, NOT ShaDrac's)
