Help!!!!!! kaiser wifi trouble shooting

hi people,
i have a little problem with my kaiser, i cant access wifi connection thru the qwerty keyborad ( Fn + ok buttns).... anyway i can do it using the comm manager or the connections settings otherwise i cant..
Somebody knows what happened to my shortcut via qwerty keyboard?
Every comment will be welcome.

I wonder if anyone can help?
I have recently got my self this wonderful phone (o2 Stellar) and i'm having an issue with GPRS making a connection when no applications that i can see are using it.
Is there anyway to see hidden tasks running in case there is a dodgey program on my phone or anyway to make any application wanting GPRS access to Ask for permission?

you might want to look for the taskmanager cab that is around. Use search and I'm sure it will be a breeze to find.

Registry edit to disable 3G

I just purchased my Tilt and have Hard SPL installed but haven't settled on a ROM as of yet. I have been using Schaps ROMs for a while on the Hermes. My question is would someone be kind enough to direct me to the registry edit for giving the band option in the phone settings so I can disable 3G when not in use to save battery life.
Also I am looking for a registry editor for the Kaiser, input is apreciated. I have one I used on the Hermes but it doesn't seem to want to play with the Kaiser.
And I did search the wiki first when it came back up that is
ROM version is 1.62.502.0
Radio 1.27.14.09

Ok. You should do a SEARCH for COMM MANAGERS... search for Dutty 10 Button COMM manager, or SCHAP's COMM MANAGER. It will give you option to disable 3g and enable. It's as easy as just tapping on it. Same process as turning on WIFI. You need to search threads before people start breathing down your anus. READ and SEARCH

This app works perfectly. Its called BandSwitch. Just installed on my tilt the other day.

Click auto if you want to let it choose.
GSM for only Edge mode.
UMTS for 3G/HSDPA.
It also has auto disconnect.
Click hide page once you are done.

i tend to stick with a six button comm manager. I use advancedconfig to place the phone,wifi,bluetooth,3g,data connection, and airplane mode.

Once it is installed go to start>programs>system tools>advancedconfig>menu>comm manager settings

TY for your reply. I was prepared for the flaming I have been reading and searching but was not finding what I was looking for. I was not aware that I was able to dl a com manager cab by its self. I have never been unhappy with the comm managers in the roms that i have used previously for the Hermes. ( V3pg and schaps )

That was exactly for what I am looking for. I am leaving in 2 days for a conference in Florida and this serves my immediate needs perfectly. I will try a few roms when I get back and see what is happening for the Kaiser.
It seems that I have to find ATT TILT Specific ROMs to avoid keyboard issues and go for a WM 6.1 if I want the newer radios. I have DL'd Schap's 4.30 and 4.31 but am not sure which device they were intended for, Tilt or TyTN, so more reading.

well if the rom isn't for the tilt there is a cab available to fix your keyboard settings. However, some of the newest versions of roms tend to mess up the keyboard a bit if you type too fast. Anyhow, here is the cab for the tilt settings.

I'm using SPB GPRS Monitor. Works great. Ofcourse works for 3G too.

thanks for the info guys. batterystatus doesn't seem to be working properly- doesn't update any data usage though sms is fine. anyone shed some light on that.
lcminutes isn't very user friendlyand spb isn't freeware. lol
is there anything else ?

I ve used this program to. Works ok and keeps diagrams of my GPRS data counter but sorry. It doesnt count any 3G data...
Running a custom setting

My retail Diamond came with the full version of spb gprs monitor on an official CD inside the box. It was originally a ME diamond (now flashed to a European ROM). Maybe certain regions don't include it. Its a good piece of software that I used on my last PDA aswell.

Batterystatus works fine for me. In the options, you need to enable the data counting and select which connections to monitor.
It also needs to be running at all times to monitor. As it's a today plugin, this is only possible if you've got secondtoday running.
I find the best thing to do is use secondtoday with batterystatus on the second home screen, and set secondtoday to auto start when the device does (this way it will always be running)

Pocket Internet Explorer not working

My PIE doesnt work anymore. When I start it, it loads the homepage, but doesnt load anything. It downloads 0kB and then stops. When I enter another url it does the same. Tried several urls, but still the same.
HTC Touch Diamond 1.93 ROM Dutch.
Anyone has the same problem ?

I have the same problem OPERA is working but IE no .

First check your connection if u have proxy comes by lame Activesync, after that try new connection with NEW NAME
to same GPRS/3G or whatever u have and try IE again...

My IE was working good, but then I made a lot of changes of connection and then IE not work , IE don`t use connection. Problem is , that in the OPTION of IE ist nothing useable for configuration (stupid WM) , but may be I am stupid . I think only regedit help . (sorry for my english )

It's not working (I tried open IE with Wifi), Opera and QuickGPS can work fine.

Specially when you have Opera 9.5 on your phone.

Solution :
Advanced config - Internet explorer - Proxy auto detection - ENABLED - then restart
IE is working again
