Hello,
i've got a Problem with my o2 XDA Diamond (Rom 1.93.207.2),
when i'm trying to make a photo in panorama mode, the diamond
say's that there's no free storage. But in normal picture mode there
are about 10,000 pictures left. All settins are set on internal storage and
there are more then 1GB left. I tried to set the storage folder manually in
the regestry, but nothing happend. Sorry for the bad english...
Greetings Hellwo

I've enabled the panoramic setting on my Wing and have noticed that the camera will occasionally give me a "disk memory full" error. I do get this with regular shots, just not as often.
I have set my settings to have all vids and pics save to my 1gb microsd card.
I have also freed up storage memory on my device and program memory with both ranging at around 21mb each.
any suggestions on different settings or registry edits to enable more shots or not having to do a soft reset?
been reading these forums for a month or so and have learned a great deal.
btw, I have searched and most threads were about button issues for the camera. Any help is appreciated.
Hi there!
I'm having a problem with the phone storage, not the internal 4gb storage...
The phone storage is at 0.20 mb (free!), but i don't really know why! On Saturday there were about 20 mb of free storage, but now they are gone ... I didn't install any programms, just looked a few videos with the youtube player and played around with some pictures that where sent as an email attachement (2 mb per picture) and suddenly the phone tells me "memory is low". i tried the sktools "clean" tool, but i'm not quite sure what i can delete without killing my pim data and so on. Is there anyway to figure out which application keeps all the information stored that killed my storage?!
I looked through the phone folders in the explorer on my pc, but i can't say
where the lost storage is located
any ideas on this !?
Thanks in advance
André
Maybe browser cache-data is filling it up? checked temp folders? 0,20MB sounds weird tho. What ROM are you using?
i searched all the tempfolders (hopefully i found them all ) but there aren't any large tempfiles or so ...
is there any specific folder you want me to have a closer look at?
i'm using the original o2 rom (1.37.207.2 GER)
Make a hard reboot and choose the 2nd option in the hard reboot menu
i'll give it a try the next few days and keep you informed
thnx!
before hard reset use sktools and do a complete clean
Why don't you see in your system settings menu, click memorry.
There you find a 'link' which gives you the option to search for big size files that fill up your memory.
too bad it doens't find many small files
anyone experiencing corrupted photo saving?
i'm using swiftbl 6.0 full, camera set to 3mpix, best photo quality and saving into internal storage - almost all of photos taken are corrupted - right after taking the shot, quick preview shows perfect photo, thumbnails in album are also ok.
but when viewing the picture on the phone in fullscreen, lots of pictures are just plain black or plain white or full of jpeg compression artifacts. when viewing on pc, some kind of compression error is visible in top left corner. photoshop refuses to open some of them because of error.
is this behaviour common? is it due to not-official rom or all diamonds do this? or are the files corrupted because of saving to internal memory? quick preview looks great, so the problem is in saving the files. how to fix that?
sample bad photos:

this should be daylight photo. due to some error it is almost completely black. quick preview was ok, thumbnail is ok.

almost ok, but notice 16px column of bad data on the left

photoshop refuses to open this one, acdsee shows only broken artifacts, in browser note the bad data in top left corner
thanks for any advice
no mas to nake pokurvene nastesti jsem nic podobne nezaznamenal...jediny problem je ze nekdy fotky koduje na vysku ikdyz byli focene podelne...
thanks, but i need to solve this, not to cry that it's f**ked up. i've tried to change saving location to main memory, but corruption is still present...
Hello!
I've had my diamond for about 1 month now without any problems but when i moved all my old mobile pictures (about 220pics and 70mb, and some small movies) my diamond started complain about low storage!
So after looking in the memory setting i found out that my diamond had 1gb left on the internal memory (this is where i stored the images) but only 0.45mb(of 100) on the main memory storage
How could the main memory change when i put the images in the internal storage?
Regards Rawa
Have you cleared Opera cache... And also IE cache??? Try that and see what happens...

Click to collapse
Yep thanks man helped alot, but didnt have any problems with my memory before, so its quite strange that the pictures started the warnings messages. The images must have taken more then 10 mb for the warning to go off.
[Q] "Cannot save photo - not enough free space" + more than 4GB free on SD card
Hey there,
I was taking some pictures with my phone (HTC TD2, original ROM) the other day and out of the blue an error appeared notifying me that the last photo cannot be saved since there is not enough free space. I double checked the amount of free space available on the SD card (this is where photos are set to be stored) and just to be sure also the internal memory, but both were fine (SD: more than 4GB free, internal memory: ca. 170MB free).
What is this? Some kind of a joke M$ is playing on customers? ;o)
In case anyone knows what can be causing this, please, let me know. Thanks.

Have you tried changing your sd card? One of my friends had a similar problem and a faulty sd card proved to be the reason.
Dear chacik,
Thanks for your response. Change of SD card helped, however, when I put back the original SD card (from which nothing has been deleted since the error occurred), Windows happily saved photos to it as well.
Sometimes WM behaves in a strange manner...
