Nokia CK-7W Car Kit and SE Xperia - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi There,
1st post so please be be gentle.
I am trying to find out if anyone else is having echo issues with the Xperia and the Nokia CK-7W car kit. I am able to pair via bluetooth, but the person i am speaking with complains about echo's.
I have an Xperia with the new R2A ROM.
Thanks in advance for your support.

same problem here.
got suggestion from sony to update the Xperia software. same result.
tried with 2 different phones (nokia and samsung 900) with no echo
so problem lies with Xperia.
Monday back to the shop

Same here
I also have just updated my Xperia, same complaints from the people I am calling: echoes.
iPhone 3G with same carkit, no problems.

I think i have resolved
Hi Guys & Gals,
I think i've found a solution to our problem with the help of another thread for another issue. However I have tried this today and it seems fine.
1) Delete existing bluetooth pairing with CK-7W Carkit
2) Change Registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys\COD
the default is 5898764 (Decimal) which is "Telephone (Smartphone)" which you would think would work. Changed to 5374476 (Decimal) which is a normal phone.
3) Restart the X1
Please let me know how you get on.
Thanks

nokia
Just came back from the shop where i bought the X1. They blaim the carkit and say its a nokia problem. Soon i get a Parrot so i will see.
question:
where should i type the mentioned tip ??

you can double click the COD file and change the numbers there.

nokia
hi there
stupid question maybe, bot where/how can i find this cod file
tx in advance

First of all download a registry editor (I use Total commander)
2) Delete existing bluetooth pairing with CK-7W Carkit
3) Change Registry setting using your registry editor:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sy s\COD
the default is 5898764 (Decimal) which is "Telephone (Smartphone)" which you would think would work. Changed to 5374476 (Decimal) which is a normal phone.
3) Restart the X1

changed the carkit from the nokia to a parrot Mki 9200 and it works perfectly. so the problem was with nokia.

I'm glad that you can connect. I was waiting for you to come back and post that your Bluetooth connection won't hold with the Parrot, which is my problem.

Maybe I am just too used to the Mac / iPhone combination... I did what you described but I always get stuck at step 3, I cannot find the directory you're indicating. I have a Dutch Xperia, maybe that's the problem? I do have a folder called "Microsoft" but TC does not show a Bluetooth subfolder... Any help would be greatly appreciate. Those echoes drive my boss nuts...
Thanks in advance for your efforts!

Are you sure you are in the registry editor part - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sy s\COD or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sy s\COD
I think you may be looking in the wrong place.

echo problem
I have echo problem with bluetooth speakerfon for car name:supertooth one and supertooth voice .On this two devices i have echo on the other side of line.In car on speaker is everything ok ,but person thet i called said thet have an echo.
I have third device in car and thet is prestigio and he works ok.
I tried all 3 devices on other phones and they worked ok.
this is problem with experia and combination of speakerphones model together.
I have discovered thet echo is only when i press voice dialing on phone or on speakerphone. When i dialed from phone keypad there is no echo, but when i again press voice dialing there is an echo ,and after thet echo is again when i dial from phone.I must then to erase connection and to pair again with speakerphone and to go dialing from phone not with voice.

Good fix!
Works well apart from MAX volume... but that's not a software issue, more a 'real' echo from the speakers.

I keep having to refer to this thread, thank you.
But, please would someone create a cab file which makes this easier.
Sorry for bumping this.

back again

Xperia T
Hi all,
Have exactly the same problem but need to make the alteration to that file on my Xperia T instead - anyone know how to go about it, or where to find the correct file?
Thanks!
Matt

Android
I recently updated my phone to Xperia Z1 and have the same echo problem with CK-7W
Does anyone know how to change that class of device with Android as there is no registry similar to Windows?
Any other suggestions to get rid of the echo?

Did you try it without Jetware? Made sure your bluetooth was set as discoverable? Paired the device? The more info YOU provide as to what you've done, tried, & what setup you've done it with...the beter the help & answers you'll get.
I'd suggest filtering through the following threads. There have been similar problems fixed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364559&highlight=Kaiser+Nokia+car+kit
In the above thread the original poster solved his nokia carkit issue following this:
1. Pair the TyTN II to the car (Nokia HT-2) phone.
2. Switch car ignition OFF and switch off TyTN II.
3. Remove SIM from TyTN II.
4. Place SIM into a compatible phone (in my case Nokia N95).
5. Switch on N95, switch on Bluetooth, switch on Remote SIM access.
6. Change the Bluetooth ID name on the N95 to the same as the TyTN II.
7. Make phone discoverable via Bluetooth.
8. Switch on car ignition - car phone will not be able to connect.
9. Using car controls search for new device.
10. When N95 is found, select connect, it will use the same user profile as the TyTN II (if you selected the same name for the Bluetooth ID).
11. On the car browse to Settings - Phonebook - Update, this will then import all your contacts from your N95 (or compatible phone).
12. Switch off ignition and switch off N95.
13. Replace SIM back to TyTN II.
14. Ensure TyTN II Bluetooth is ON, Remote SIM is ON and the phone is Discoverable.
15. Switch on car ignition - car phone will not be able to connect.
16. Using car controls search for new device.
17. When TyTN II is found, select connect, it will use the same user profile as before.
18. Now browse the car Phonebook as normal - All your contacts are now available for you to use.
19. Don't forget to turn off discoverability on the TyTN II and to rename your compatible phone (N95) to prevent any future conflicts.
This worked for me! I hope it will work for you! Good Luck!
I did try it with removing the jetware the bluetooth works fine but cant download contacts is there anyother patch or software more compatable with nokia bluetooth devices. Jet ware is good but wont let me disconect call when done any one else have an issue like this
BOBBYDS1 is your connection between the Kaiser and the Car Kit using Bluetooth as a headset (in other words the phone still functions and you can look up and dial with the phone) or is it using rSAP (Remote Sim) which switches your Kaiser into flight mode.
I ask this as it will determine which way you look for a solution. If its using rSAP then most Nokia systems that are fitted into cars as factory fit have not yet developed the correct software to communicate with Windows Mobile devices, in which case you will need to remove Jetware from you Kaiser and use my solution on a previous post as quoted above.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...+Nokia+car+kit
Mark
The phone still functions as i can disconnect by the phone it self here is the thing sometimes I can disconnect call by the nokia bluetooth device but a lot of times I cannot disconnect, i have to pull phone out of my pocket and end call
@BOBBYDS1 and fb.knight
No offence guys, but you need to go back to Junior High and learn how to use commas, question marks and letter cases.
Posts like that will rarely get you any kind of a reasonable response.
what nokia bluetooth car kit are you trying to use?
Still not clear if your carkit is using headset or rSAP profiles. Can you either tell us the model of the carkit, or tell us if you can browse the internet from the phone whilst its connected to the carkit?
Punctuation good enough there Dark?! (JOKE!!)
IT is a Nokia CK15-w Bluetooth Car kit Here is a link to it. http://www.nokiausa.com/A4431279
Also I can surf the internet while it is connected to the bluetooth.
Looks like that model supports:
Hands-free Profile 1.5, Phonebook Access Profile 1.0
(Source: Nokia Europe
The Kaiser supports:
File Transfer Profile, SIM Access Profile (rSAP), Dial-Up Networking Profile, Personal Area Networking Profile, Hands-Free Profile 1.5, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (I'm guessing A2DP)
(Source: www.theunwired.net
So I'm guessing that whilst it will work as a glorified headset, you have no chance of getting your contacts downloaded! Should be able to get them from your SIM, just not the main memory. Wonder why Nokia removed the rSAP profile? It was on their 610 (rSAP only) 616 (rSAP and Handsfree) then from the 810 and CK-15 it seems to be handsfree only. This could be why so many are having problems with Nokia carkits, Nokia went and changed the supported bluetooth profiles. Funny, I would have thought the newer the model, the more it would have done, but I guess not! Glad I looked into this as I was thinking about 'upgrading' to the 810 for the full handset, guess I won't be now!
I am getting confused, I downloaded the jetstream program to the phone and was able to download the contact list no problem. The problem i am having is when i make a call from the nokia bluetooth when I am done and hit the endcall button on the nokia it does not end the call, I have to pull out the phone and hit the end button on the phone itself. any suggestions on how to correct this.

So downloading contacts isn't your problem, hanging up whilst having jetware installed is? Better post would have been something along the lines of:
"I'm having trouble ending calls on my Kaiser using the end button on my Nokia CK-15 carkit. I installed the Jetware program to enable downloading contacts, but this stops the end key working on the Kaiser, before this it was working fine just the carkit couldn't download contacts. Does anyone know of any settings in Jetware I can try, that would restore the end key function, or other software that would still enable me to download contacts and have and end key?" - That might have got you an answer sooner...
Right, the phone as it comes doesn't support phonebook access, thus you won't be able to download your contacts. Actually, none of the Nokia bluetooth carkits support downloading contacts from the internal memory of a Windows Mobile device, probably because no Nokia uses Windows Mobile (yet).
You add something like Jetware which gives you the ability to access the phonebook, but then you are unable to end a call via the carkit. My best guess is Jetware does something which interupts the commands from the carkit. I'm also guessing your stuck with either having contacts download or and end call option. Add Jetware back and play with it's settings. You may get lucky. However bluetooth is very buggy and the only way to get 2 devices to work perfectly with eachother without running the risk of having to fiddle or loose something is to buy them from the same manufacturer and check they are fully compatible with eachother. Two devices from 2 manufacturers don't always work.
Here are some examples:
Old Ericsson headset, will work perfectly with my old HTC phone and can't even be seen by my Kaiser. Slightly newer one (that has an LCD for caller ID) will work once connected until I switch it off, then requires the old HTC phone to be soft reset before it will connect again. Works perfectly with the Kaiser. Brand new, cheapy Motorola headset does what it feels like with no consistency on my older HTC, again works perfectly on the Kaiser. My Nokia 610 carkit will connect to both phones, but whilst the older phone needs to be soft reset before turning off the ignition (otherwise the phone part of things crashes), the Kaiser will connect and disconnect just as Nokia intend. The carkit will only download SIM contacts. The fix posted above isn't really a fix, it's fooling the carkit into thinking that another phone (the Nokia N95) is the kaiser, downloading the contacts from it and then reconnecting the real Kaiser. Not a fix, but a brilliant workaround.
Also noticed that the CK-15 uses bluetooth version 1.2, the Kaiser bluetooth version 2. This might be something to do with it.
In short, I think you will have to live with either a phonebook, or an end function. Welcome to the wonderful world of bluetooth. It also doesn't help that Nokia hasa a history of making devices which don't work with anything other than another Nokia device...
Is there any way to change the kaiser to use bluetooth 1.2. Also is there a way to contact jetware besides email as they dont reply.
In your reply you state thAT Nokia devices csnt download from internal memory of kaiser phone, how can i set it up to download from the sim is there a way.

I seriously doubt anyone will be writing a bluetooth stack v1.2 for the Kaiser anytime soon. I also have a feeling that the versions are hardware, not software related, so its impossible. I think you may have to accept that the Kaiser and Nokia will never play nicely. Why don't you install Jetware, sync your contacts, then either disable it (I'm sure I remember an option in the settings when I tried it previously) or just delete the program? You could keep the installer cab on your device somewhere as its only 500kb for when you need to reinstall it?
If there isn't a phone number on the jetware homepage, I'm betting you can't call them. But I did notice there is an advanced set-up options menu. Did you try unchecking all the boxes apart from phonebooks? If the "hang-up/swap to incomming call" option is unchecked, Jetware should pass that command to the phones standard bluetooth software and give you back your end key. From the Jetware site:
"When this option is unchecked the Extension will allow hang up commands to be processed by the built-in code, which will disconnect all active voice calls."
If it's currently checked, try unchecking it.

Have you read the manual? In my 610 manual, it tells me I can choose to dowload phone, SIM, or phone and SIM memory. Does yours?
Now it seems that call waiting is not working in the bluetooth unit, itried the settings both ways in jetware but still no go. any ideas

When they first pair after getting in the car, leave it a few minutes before accessing, this works for me. If I try to access my phonebook straight away I get the same problem.

Hi there, I am having a problem with my BT620s and was wondering what you were talking about with the registry fix and would it have to do with the sound cutting in and out periodically? I have searched this forum and have also asked in a new thread but ignored, but I guess I don't know how to search very well. How do you edit the registry?

Sorry guys but I jumped in this conversation a little late.
I have an HTC 2125, 3125 (WM 5.0), and am contemplating purchasing the Tilt if it would make any difference.
With the registry fix and the Jetware software, will I have full compatibility with the KCE-300BT? Streaming music and all?

Thanks.

But the second time i tried again and it always tells me "updating". Do I need to do other registry entries together with Jetware to enable phonebook?

Looking at buying the new KCE-350BT which is out now (unfortunately still not properly working with Polaris + WM6.0), just wanted to know do i still need to do this registry fix if i'm running Jetware.
Thanks
Tested the KCE-350BT in store and couldn't get it to work even with JetWare. It did download all the contacts at one point, but stuggles to pair every time and doesn't look like it would work very well at all.
Any other programs, registry fixes or ROMs to try? (to convert the OBEX format to PAB in the phone itself)? JetWare is a bit cumbersome having to browse using file explorer, doesn't even create any shortcuts etc.
Thanks in advance.

Bump. just wondering is WM 6.1 any better than 6.0 in terms of getting this to work properly. Working only after making or receiving calls sounds pretty annoying. i didn't find jetware to work at all really.

XPeria Bluetooth doesn't pair up with Mercedes

Hi,
I just moved from the bulky P990 to XPeria. Everything seems to be fine, except the bluetooth problems I'm having when trying to connect to the Mercedes Benz C200 (2008 model) audio system.
From the car, when I look for the list of mobiles, my X1 appears in the list, but when I try pairing, it continues working for a while (once paskey is entered), and says the authorization process failed, and the two never get paired up.
My other phones, P990, Nokia N70, E66 all work fine with the car bluetooth.
I read somewhere that the WinMo 6.1 does not have the SAP profile, and managed to find a cab file that introduces this. However, when tried, still the same problem. Also tried Jetware, and failed.
Merc & SE have no clue when I called them up.
Any help will be great!!

I read somewhere that the WinMo 6.1 does not have the SAP profile, and managed to find a cab file that introduces this. However, when tried, still the same problem. Also tried Jetware, and failed.
Merc & SE have no clue when I called them up.
Any help will be great!!

Managed to solve this now.
Of course both Merc & SE didn't have any good solutions.... so had to continue googling & XDA-ing... This is what I did:
i.) Jetware, as I posted earlier has been removed.
ii.) I still had the SAP Profile addition downloaded from one of the forums in XDA on.
iii.) Change Registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys\COD
the default is 5898764 (Decimal) which is "Telephone (Smartphone)" which you would think would work. Changed to 5374476 (Decimal) which is a normal phone.
iv.) Restarted the phone.
v.) Started the pairing process from the car - failed as per before.
vi.) Started the pairing from the phone, and they work!!
Now, they pair automatically as how they would before....

Great to hear you solved it
Still can't understand why Meredes took that way, my car's bluetooth is a charm
I has the same problem with a pioneer head unit.
The head unit only looked at mobile phone devices and did not recognise anything such as smartphone or PDA as possible to connect to.
My Phone presented itself as a PDA.
I made the change in the registry too and it worked.
I told pioneer and informed them exactly what was wrong with their headunit, so that they could fix a new firmware, to which they responded "Your phone is not on our supported device list".
I ebay'd the headunit and bought a £700 Kenwood one, never dealing with pioneer again.
It is the make of the car kit which is at fault here, it could be that they have issued a fix / upgrade at dealerships though? I can't imagine Merc not fixing things that cost that much.

I tried the registry modification and it still doesn't work with my cd-btb200. It connects and asks for the password, the phone says it's connected and the head unit doesn't detect it. After 10 seconds the connection breaks. Man I wasted 200$ on this bluetooth box that follows no standards.

Hi I have the same problem, 10 seconds and then drops the connection!
I tried the registry change that is explained above, but nothing!
only the hands free function does not work, instead the stereo wireless is ok!!
wery strange!!!!!!!
help!
I do not understand what you must do these two points
i.) Jetware, come ho postato in precedenza è stato rimosso.
ii.) I still had the SAP Profile addition downloaded from one of the forums in XDA on. ii.) avevo ancora l'aggiunta di SAP Profilo scaricato da uno dei forum di XDA su.
you can explain it better??
It's all Pioneer's fault.
I'll try JetWare and give an update.
MB c350 android bluetooth
Hi all,
I just converted from iphone 4s to the new Nexus 5 and when I try to pair it for bluetooth hands free, the car display says "ready for telephony" but the car doesn't show up in my bluetooth devices on the phone. And yes bluetooth is turned on on the phone. My iPhones paired just fine. Any ideas? Am I missing something?

How do I edit the registry to describe my 'smartphone' as a 'mobile phone' ?

I am having trouble pairing my X1 up to my BME E46 Bluetooth connection.
It seems to pair, then drop immediately after it links up when the ignition turns on.
I have tried adding the sap profile cab but still no joy, although the phone is saying its still connected.
I have read that it might work if I change the phone description from smart phone to mobile phone in the registry.
The quote below is where I read something similar on a Merc. I have tried what is described, but the phone is still showing as a smartphone on my pc

Have you tried connecting normally (ie not using the SAP profile)? does that work? I think you can just disable SAP in one of the bluetooth options. Try that.
I recently connected my X1 (running smaberg's Touch ROM) to a hired Merc, it was fine - in bluetooth headset mode.
slightly OT: I experimented with the SAP profile with my car, I decided against it. OK, bigger & better antenna and better battery usage during the conversation, but it obliges you to have your contacts on the SIM, can't use call history etc unless you called a number on the SIM etc. Well if you have less than 128 (?) numbers on your phone - but the beauty of syncing with Outlook is multiple numbers per contact.

Bluetooth on HD2 + Volvo built-in Bluetooth

Hi,
I'm having problems connecting my HTC HD2 to my Volvo S80 bluetooth, The phone sync's OK, I can dial calls but I get no audio through the cars speakers; neither does it dim the sound.
I happend to use a HTC TYTN II with the same car, where it all worked flawlessly.
Does anyone have the same problem with his/her Volvo?
Does anyone have a working combination of a HD2 + Volvo?
Any help/direction will be appreciated.
I have the same issue with my Jag.. have you tried to initiate the call FROM the car vs. from the phone?

Yeah, I've tried it both from the phone, as well as the keypad of the car. Funny thing is that the phonebook seems to synchronize correctly between phone & car, so I have a working connection.
It's just the problem that I have described earlier in this thread.
Did you manage to solve it?
It is very wonky - I can see the addressbook on my car's display, i can dial and have a convo but it hangs after I hang up the phone. I cannot dial from the phone which is strange. I imagine a software patch could repair

Try setting the authenticated connection to OFF
Dunno if it will help, but from
Start-Settings, then <menu> All settings (its the quickmenu bottom right)
Bluetooth -
then you can set properties (nickname and authorized connections)
------------
Having similair problem with Bluetooth Headset and Cyberon Voice Speed dial software. Won't work unless initiated the call from phone)
WOW!!! You did it! thanks so much... who would have thought I should turn auth connection OFF!?!

Volvo Connection
Hi - I am having exactly the same issue with the connection in my C30, it syncs fine, connects okay just no audio on either the phone or the car
I have tried the fix above which didnt work for me - any ideas?
I have got it working fine on a bluetooth headset so not the phone
My Volvo dealer did it
Everything solved, by installing the latest bluetooth software into my car. It seems that an update is available twice a year, and I have just had my Volvo dealer install the latest into my one year old car.
Everything is now working fine.
(And then I thought that Bluetooth was a certified standard, but hey, I work in business software, so I probably should have known better )
I can highly recommend driving by your Volvo agent.
Volvo Bluetooth HTC HD2
Warnink:
Where are you located in the world? My Volvo dealer (and Volvo Norway) could not find any software update for my car. I have an 2010 V70 and I have the same issues as you had.
Did your dealer give you any details about the software?
André
I was lucky while it lasted
When I drove off from my dealer, he made sure that I had the last version of the bluetooth software. Everything worked smoothly then, and also for a couple of days.
Unfortunately I am back to square one now, since it stopped working again.
On another forum, I received some replies, telling me it has to do with the bluetooth stack, that is being used by the HTC HD2. I am sofar unable to verify this, and neither do I have a solution.
I have sent an email to HTC as well, telling them about this issue, but have so far not received any reply.
Hope that either Volvo, or HTC will pick up on this issue, because the combination of driving a Volvo, and using a HD2 can hardly be matched (but only if they function properly) If you encounter a solution, keep me (us) posted.
(By the way: I live in Holland )
the same...
Hi !
I do have the same problems with my XC70 MY10. My Bluetooth version in the car is 04.22_R. Which version do you have !?
In the past with my Touch HD I used Jetware bluetooth handsfree 1.40 and most of the time it worked. Unfortunately that version is not running on my HD2.
Is there anything planed like this to have for the HD2 ?
Which other solutions would be possible ? How many people are infected and is it only a VOLVO problem ?
Best regards !
Same here. Latest sofware version installed (already two time), now 4.22R. It's unbelievable. A Navigon or Tom Tom appliance, or any BT Handfree stuff of 100 euro's connects and works without any problem, but a 80.000 euro Volvo... I can't figure out why, the phonebook syncs, it dials, but no sound. Nor does it stop radio/cd/tv. Waiting for next upgrade (either BT of Volvo or the whole car?)
Not supported by Volvo yet
Here is a link for the Netherlands, where you can check what phone models are supported by Volvo bluetooth. Currently, the HD2 is not listed.

Solved problem
Hi!
I had some initial problems pairing my HTC hd2 with my S80 from -06.
Now it works fine without any bluetooth updates from Volvo.
The problem I had was that the call was disconnected just as it was connected.
I could make the call but as soon as someone answered, the call was disconnected.
I'm not really sure what did the trick but I tried with the settings in:
Start -> Settings -> Meny -> More -> Bluetooth
Under Advanced there is an option to play system sound on the remote bluetooth device. I have it checked, not sure if that is needed.
So try to change the settings in Start -> Settings -> Meny -> More -> Bluetooth
If I get the time I'll try to write a more detailed guide...
The main thing is that with proper settings it works, without updates.

I had the same problem with no sound and problems muting the radio. But that was solved. See my other post...
Look at this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583570&page=7
Although it does not enable you to sync your phonebook, you can at least call normally; this did the trick for me.

Success!!!

I tried the settings posted on the previous pages and for the first time my HD2 pairs with my Range Rover handsfree.
I didn't find the registry values exactly as in the previous post so here's an updated list of what worked for me:
I downloaded Mobile Registry Editor (freeware from here http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/De...or-10636.shtml
Then I made the following registry changes:
1. Modify the HandsFree plug-in: HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\Plugin\HandsFree
i. Change SupportedFeatures to 45 (default is 1135 mine was 1379)
ii. Add value HFBDA binary, set to same value as LastConnectedBda
iii. Add value HFDeviceType DWORD 2
2. Modify the WIDCOMM bluetooth general settings: HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\BtConfig\General
i. Change bdaddr to (no value) delete the existing key value
ii. Change DisableReopenAudio to 0 (default is 1) I didn't have this registry key so I created it with DWORD value 0
3. Reboot device

I found (on another thread) that just turning off the data connection enables most of the BT and audio-linked functionality... Though mine doesn't seem to update the recent calls list made from the car.
BUT the downside would be losing out on push email or other data services like weather, stocks (who cares!), and things like satnav live services (traffic, etc.) until you re-enable data. I haven't yet tried Tungsten's ideas above - hopefully tomorrow!
NB. which bluetooth version do you have? (In the menu on the sound system) I apparently have the current version and my Volvo dealer said that even an update could either maybe not work/work fine/trash my phone's BT UNLESS Volvo had by then listed my phone as compatible (HD2 currently not listed). Plus I would still be charged £60-70 so I opted not to risk it.
From what I can gather and although bluetooth is a "standard", it maybe to do with using different stacks - HTC apparently doesn't use the Microsoft stacks...
Problem fixed
Everyone...I picked up my HD2 on Thursday, same issue with my 2009 Volvo S80. Connected but no audio picked up or transferred...until today.
Complete the pairing with the vehicle.
Then
Go into the "OTHER SETTINGS" (Located toward the bottom of the Main Settings Section)
Under Other Settings is "CAR KIT"
Make sure to have a check box in both options. "Navi" & "Automatically transfer to Car Kit"
Save.
Your set..works like a charm.
Just curious

Are you also using any data connection at the same time? It seems that when I leave push-mail on, that this does not do the trick for me.
