I loaded a program on my Diamond and added it to my menu. Didn't like the program so I deleted it but it still shows on drop down menu and it won't let me uncheck it.
Can anyone help?

i need a lnk to go to today screen...i have some program set up on startup but i need it runing in the background..y can use this:

to run something at the end of the startup, it works, but i need a command or link to "Today" as the one u have in the start menu...any idea?
BTW: i already cheked "\windows\start menu" and no, there isnt a today lnk...also did a search with total commander for "today" and nothing also...
Install PHM Key Tools and use that. It has a link to the Today screen.

as i see it is a program to assing functions to different hard-buttons...its a workaround but not ideal in my situation...i just need a lnk to the program/dll/function that go to the today screen...why? think about this:
in startup folder i have the normal startup programs but one starts full screen so i need to use delayedexec to "run" the today screen 5 seconds later as example otherwise i end up with the program full screen when i need it in the background...so...any other idea? please?

Yes Im a noob, trying to learn. Ive learned the hard way on somethings and Ive had to reinstall the T-Mobile rom 2-3 times already on messing up. When you open the "Start" button you have your programs from the "Menus" in the "Settings" you choose what shortcuts you want here. Then theres the line and I have a bunch of program icons and then another line and then "Programs, "Settings. How do you get rid of those icons or shortcuts in between the lines?

it sounds to me, like you're trying to clear out the recently used programs list. If that's what you're talking about ... install this cab.

Wow, you are a newbie! It's a cab file. Download it on your device, locate it with file explorer, click it so it installs. Look in your program folder, find the program, run it.
Yea right after I got put that post up I had to leave for work. I knew that I had it on the phone and found it at work. Is there any way to keep the "recent folder" empty even after running a couple of programs other then running the cab to clear it out again?

if you use quick menu it will hide recent programs in a seperate sub menu.
The Quick Menu that is normally located in the top right hand corner of the screen has disappeared on my TyTNII. Tried a soft reset and that didn't help. Don't want to do a hard reset as it takes ages to reload all of the software and data. Does anyone have any ideas. Any suggestion is welcome?

when u click on the screen where should be the icon, does it load the menu?
Try running Quickmenu from the Programs folder. That should fix things.
Make sure that there is a Quickmenu shortcut in your Device>Windows>Startup directory. This will ensure it starts after soft resets.
It's is a good idea to invest in a good backup program like SPB Backup which I use or Sprite Backup. This ensures that you save all your PIM info, messaging, settings, shortcuts etc etc. If and when you do need to perform a hard reset, you just run the executable that the backup program creates, and voila, you're good to go.
I normally backup once every week to ten days.

Thanks for the quick response. That may be my problem. It is not in my startup menu, but I also don't have a Quickmenu icon on my program window? Maybe it got deleted? How do I restore it?
When I tap in the top right corner where the icon used to be, nothing comes up. I think I must have deleted the program somehow?

I think you may have deleted it inadvertantly. Just restore it and make sure that there is a shortcut n your startup folder.
Here is the App and the two dll files to drop in your windows directory. It is an executable, no need to install. Just copy the executable anywhere on your device and create shortcut in startup folder.

i did go there.. it is unchecked, shows up in start menu anyway..
Go to file explorer and navigate to windows>start menu and delete it there.

Can you show us a screen shot of what you want remove and where it is. The Menu will hold a group of the last Five programs used in the Menu.
i disabled the "recent" listing.. "softset" disappeared also..

Hello, I have problems with program,which I downloaded and installed.This program locks messages. Program is running and everything is allright, but I don´t know how to delete message icon in my main menu. I deleted icon in start menu but in main menu, the icon is still there. Can you post a picture? It's difficult to understand from your description, is it a today plugin? And what the program you installed?
Edit: I don't know your device but I read a bit on it http://pocketnow.com/review/samsung-omnia-i900?p=2 maybe you are talking about a widget? In this case there is a tab which pulls out a menu to remove widgets, see first pic.
In main menu, I would like to delete the icon of message,in the right top corner. (Pic 7 on your added link)
I am not talking about widgets. Name of program is Lock Down. I found a lot of informations about this program, but I can´t find any informations about deleting of mobile icons.
Ok, I think I understand after I figured that Samsung 6.1 version is different from Htc . You can't remove icons in main menu unless you remove the program that created the icon in settings. As for this message icon I believe it's part of the operating system and cannot be uninstalled.

Or what can I do, if I want to read messages secretly? If I open messages in program Lock down, the program asks me for password. Hi Michal,
To remove ( uninstall ) go to Settings, you'll find Remove, click and find the program you want to remove. If it's not in the list it means it's part of the Rom.
As for the icon you don't want to see :
Sync the device, in Active Sync window on your Pc click Explore, navigate to Start Menu/Programs and find the shortcut, remove it or hide it by moving it to another folder. After Reset your icon has disappeared (sorry I didn't tell you before, I haven't been using this OS for a long time).

When you click explore, it opens in My documents I believe, go one folder above, it should be the root, there you find a folder called Windows, open it, find Start Menu, click, find Programs, click and you see all the icons.
