Caller ID announce prog? - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

So I've seen this feature on other phones where a voice actually announces who is calling according to the contact entry. Anyone seen a program like this for the TP?

The Microsoft Voice Command software will do that. But I believe it speaks the number not the name.

MSVC says "Incoming Call from [name] on [mobile/home/work/etc]" if you have a name assigned to the contact.

If you click on my shared files link there is a cab you are more than welcome to use.

Say Callers Name

Hi
I used to own a MDA Vario until it died. I loved the phone but for some reason ended up with an N95 as a replacement.
I have never got on with the N95 and have finally bitten the bullet and bought the O2 XDA Stellar.
The only feature I like on the N95 is the 'Say Callers Name' function where it reads out the contact name of the caller. It sounds really tacky and robotic but I find it really useful.
Does the Stellar/Tytn 2 come with such a function or is one available?
Thanks
Steven
if you have MS voice command
Thanks for that, I looked at Voice Command but assumed it was just for controlling the phone.
I will give it a go.
Thanks.
...just download a speech engine on a pc & record the caller's personal ring with his name...
Then assign the ring to the contact... and if you use a profile manager, you can create a BT Headset profile wich say caller's name instead of the music....

that seems way to tedious, have to record a name for each caller and assign it. some people have hundreds of numbers. doing that to like 10 is already too much. must be a better way. i am also interested. i'll check out voice commander as well.

Read Out Caller's Name..

Hi all..
Is there any way i can make my Diamond read out the caller's name whenever the phone rings.. as in the N series (Nokia) phones.. This feature is very handy, that i dont need to go to the table to see who's calling...
It already does that automatically. If you have the programmed the number in your contacts list, it will automatically search the name corresponding with the caller's nr.
Or, did you mean something else?
Speaker is not that loud on Jewel.
But I would definitely be interested in this.
I think 'Voice Command' does it!
Do a search ...
Dear Akito, i mean My Nokia N73 (All N series) reads the name in between playing the ringtone... That is ---Ringtone--Name---Ringtone---Name--, so i can here the name of person calling me from far off the room.. and that's an in built feature of N series not a third party software..
You could do this manually, I have a lot of peoples voices as my ringtones. I simply make them say something, and record it. Then I associate the recording with the corresp. person, so I always know who's calling, if it's someone from my contacts, even before I get my phone out of my pocket... Besides it's a lot of fun, some of my "ringtones" are hilarious
Dear Flipside your idea is good, but not functional, i mean i have over 670 contacts, i can't keep manually making a ringtone for each!!! My Nokia N73 reads any new name added to the adress book..!!
anyway thanks for the idea, i can do that for my close contacts
Yeah, I'm a big fan of this feature on my N73 (although Bulgarian names often don't sound quite right ). Especially when listening to music thru stereo headset or driving car with bluetooth handsfree (which is most of the time for me) and your phone is not that easy to reach in your pocket.
Can somebody confirm is there any 3rd party app that does that?
Generally that`s not an N73 feature but a Symbian feature ... so any Symbian phone of 60v3 at least can do that. It did my N80 and N6120 as well ... and I would be happy if Diamond has this feature.
So finally as yet no solutions to this?????
Try Microsoft Voice Command.

Yea and it can even read out your text messages
Yes MS Voice Command does this:
Spoken caller ID. Windows Mobile smartphone users can take full advantage of incoming caller ID without ever looking down at the screen. Incoming call information is announced as calls are received. Users who think they may have missed a call can simply ask, "What calls did I miss?" and Voice Command will recite the time and phone number of missed calls. Good luck

conference call and receiting caller id

I have two questions and if any one can help will be appreciated:
1. I previously managed to have a dialler where it allows you to multi select contacts before initiating a conference call in the same keybad area, any idea how can i get this feature back, at least the name please
2. The feature where the phone will initiate a sound reciting the caller's name or the number calling you (while the phone is ringing), does any one knows what this feature is called?

msvc which voice commands lets you access certain commands over your phone. You should be able to find a few different versions in Hacking and development forum.

smsdrfix from wm for android ?

Hi,
Coming form the WM platform I got used to a program called smsdrfix. When you receive a sms message that contains a phone number of a person you have in your contacts the number is replaced with the contact name by this program. This is very useful when your carrier sends "You missed a call" messages with phone numbers in them, its a real pain in the ass to find the contact by number.
Is there any similar app for android ?
Id be glad to pay a few euro if there was....

Outlook Contacts

Hi, I have one more question that would help me decide on the HD7. I have about 1300 contacts in Outlook and multiple #'s for each contact. With some of the contacts, I have added a name behind one or more of the numbers in Outlook (say like on the Mobile # I have 222-222-2222 Tom). Well, currently in Android when I say call the mobile number of the main contact (and wanting to dial Tom), Android substitutes the numerical value for Tom (866) after the phone number, which in turns makes it an incorrect number. When I had Windows Mobile 6.5 Voice command dialing on my other WM phones, it would ignore the names behind the number and correctly dial it. Does anyone know if WM7 does the same thing? I hate to have to go back into Outlook and delete all those names behind the numbers, and if the HD7 handles it like WM6.5 did, it would help me decide to go with it. Thanks.
Seems to work for me -- I just added some letters to the end of an outlook contact, and called it, and it worked fine.
I should add that voice dialing has been flawless for me -- "Call david smith home two" calls the number under "Home 2" for David smith, and if there's only one David, you don't even need the smith!
Thanks
That's good news. Thanks for doing that.
And more, Windows Mobile never have that issue
