Ok so i made a mail2web.com account. Now im slightly confused on what to do from here? Do i forward my gmail to my mail2web.com account? And how would i get this to push to my fuze instantly?
thanks
boo
go into activesync and put in the activesync settings shown in your m2w control panel. Then forward your gmail to m2w....
Where abouts in activesync? and i dont see any settings in mw2? sorry if im missing somthing simple
on phone, click activesync>Menu>Configure Server...enter M2W settings there
On live.mail2web.com, instead of logging into OWA, click the link to your control panel on the left and login. Under active free services, click "Mail2Web LIVE". Then Click "View Activesync Settings"
Enter those into your phones activesync settings and you are done...

I tried setting up my company's Exchange but soon realized it will not work (according to IT, that's another story).
My issue is I cannot delete the "Outlook - E-mail" account now. Normally in Messaging, when the account is highlighted / selected...the menu gives you "options" and "delete" but the "delete" is unshaded so I cannot select it.
Any ideas how I can remove this account?
Thank you in advance.
Is it configured to Exchange ActiveSync? Try going through the settings in ActiveSync>Options

THANK YOU very much! That's where it is to remove it.
ooh! thanks!
thanks for the advice!
thank you very much for the advice
THANK YOU so much for this fix. so to recap
On the windows mobile phone, go to the "activesync" program. Then go to "menu" then go to "options". A new window will appear that has a "microsoft exchange" tree and a "Windows PC" tree. Uncheck the "E-mail" box for microsoft exchange. This will remove the extra unused email icon on the touch flo 3d tab. Mine had nothing in it and it still wouldn't delete. But doing this did it. THANKS
If you use GMail, their server now functions as an Exchange server.
Settings are simple and it should auto-detect. Just use your e-mail address @ gmail.com and use "m.google.com" as the server name if asked.
It will push OTA your e-mails, Google calendar entries and contacts! Pretty freeking handy, if you ask me. Although, now I have a bunch of entries in my phone contacts which really don't need to be there.

I just flashed Dutty's Rom and when I am trying to setup Push Email I am being prompted for a "Device Address" which is either a sms address or a "corporate service provider" I've never had to input this information before.
What do i need to input here?
Any help would be appreciated!
how are you setting up "push email ? what app?
I'm suing activesync and my companies OWA site.
What do you mean by setting it up through OWA? I also have push email and the only info I needed were the server address, my username, pass and port settings.
Can you tell me were exactly the question is asked? I also have Dutty's ROM running, and I want to test if I get the same question. That way I might be able to help you.
If you're trying to use OWA on the Kaiser, try OMA (Outlook Mobile Access). But I think I just misunderstood your question...
You get that question IF you set up your exchange server to also be able to send notifications on SMS.
Unless you need that feature - turn it off in exchange server.

where do i make this change? its a corporate server, so if its server side I'll just have to live with it I guess.

I go to ActiveSync on the phone, then select Menu, and select configure server.
it asks for server address, which i input., Then I hit next,
then eneter my user name, password, and domain, then select next.
Then i chosoe the data i wanted synhronized.
Then hit finish.
I then go to "Schedule", i select the sync during peak times and off peak times settings. and then at teh bottom of the screen i get adjust peak times, and "when new items arrive" both underlined.
I select when new items arrive and this is where it then asks me for my service provider.
That's strange. I use push email and never ran into this problem (AT&T as well). I go through "Mail->Set up new account", but going through ActiveSync should be the same. Make sure your AT&T connection parameters are configured. For me it always happens automatically (with Dutty's and most other ROMs).
Just thinking here: What version of Exchange server are you using? Push Email wasn't introduced since the introduction of AKU2 service pack for Exchange 2003. Could it be that your company is using an older version of Exchange?

Its server side yes.
You should contact your IT-administrator and ask him to investigate this for you.
Its probably just a permission issue.
You could set your activesync manually to be 100% sure.
By unchecking the "look for settings automatically" in the beginning of the activesync wizzard.
That way you are sure you reach the correct mail server.
Tried to configure an account on the Outlook Email - Touch Diamond. (just for kicks.. wanted to try something)
Messed up.
Question is - how do I delete that account?
Any help?
P.s. I did try the search first, didn't find anything. Sorry if this is a repeat
there are several ways to reach to that page, one is to go to the mail tab on your main screen, press menu, go to accounts, select the account, press menu again and delete it
for ordinary email accounts:
Start/programs/messaging/highlight the account/right soft key(menu)/delete
for exchange server accounts
Do this through Activestink
for Hot/Live mail
do this through Windows live
hope that helps

Thanks for the help, mate. But.. that doesn't work with the Outlook Email thing.
It works for other accounts, but not for the Outlook one.

That one you will probably have to remove via Activesync
Start the application
menu/options/Highlight the account you don't want and press delete.

Ah, i see, i don't sync email via activesync, that's why
OK, this is probably a silly question, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.
I have set up a mail account to Gmail. In that account I'm forwarding some other accounts of mine, so it gets pretty crowded.
What I would like to do is delete messages from my phone but NOT from Gmail.
Outlook Mobile offers two choices, as far as I can see: when deleting messages either
Move them to server trash, or
Delete them off the server.
Neither of those suits me. I only want to delete them from the bloody phone.
A further restriction is that I like to use my mail from TF3D, and therefore would rather not having to install another mail client unless TF3D can somehow be coerced into working with it.
Oh, and in case you wonder - I don't sync my mail with the desktop Outlook. I'm using Gmail more and more...
Thank you all for your help.
have you tried both options, and seen what the effect on the server inbox is?
ive thought of this before, and it annoyed me greatly, but i cant remember the solution. plus, we all know how wm doesnt word things correctly.
rory
err... sorry.. duplicate post.. don't know why
Tap on mail (touch flo)
Inbox
Menu-Tools-options
Tap on Gmail
(setting should open up now)
Hit 'Edit Account Setup'
Click on next next next next next
(hide key board on Automatic Send/Receive screen)
Hit 'Advanced Settings'
When deleting messages: (drop down menu)
You can set it there to not delete the messages from the server
Hope this helps

Thank you for your answer. However, I only have the two options described in my first post. Can you see a third option there?
err.. oops. Just checked again
I could have sworn it was there!
Sorry mate. guess that was on the P1 or something.. not sure.
This might not be a feasible solution, but ... just a thought..
You could set it to keep the messages only for the last 4 or 5 days..
that way, they won't be on your phone, but will be on your server.
A POSSIBLE workaround.. definitely not a solution
Here is what I configured to use the diamond without loss of messages during their removal :
I created a special e-mail address to use with my mobile phone, like [email protected].
And I set up a redirect additional for all my messages to it.
Now, I can delete all my messages without erasing the ones on my main account.
Try to go to "tools" - "option". Click the account you need to edit. Click "send/receive schedule" - "advance settings" - "when deleting messages" dropdown menu.....

Same thing. Just the two options.
Delete from Server.. or Move to Server Trash
OK, I think I've got it. It all boils down to the fact that the default Gmail setup is IMAP. If you change that to POP3 (using the instructions from Gmail) you will be able to delete your mails on the phone only.
It would be nice if someone could confirm this. It certainly seems to be working for me.
EDIT: WORKS! I get "Keep them on server" now.
The problem is related to the gmail server own rules. I have just made a test account and there is no "keep on server" option on the WM mail client. On my other account (my own domain/server) there is no problem.
You could use another mail provider (hotmail, live) for example.

Turns out it actually is IMAP vs POP3. While IMAP is generally better, when you do something locally (on the phone) it is as if it was done on the server (a disadvantage in this case).
The key is to fool Diamond into not recognizing Gmail, which means giving the address as [email protected]gm.com, then put all the POP3 settings.
On the other hand, I've noticed it will only download the unread messages...
After upgrading to 1.93: No "advanved" tab in phone options, Push-email setting lost
Hi,
I have successfully upgraded the ROM of my unbranded Diamond to 1.93 using the German ROM file downloaded directly from htc.com. Everything went Ok, the phone is well and faster as before. However I notice the following things:
a.) In the Phone options (on the phone page, tap menu->options) I have all tabs from Phone (leftmost), Services, Network, etc. etc. and Others (rightmost) but next to that the "Advanced" tab is supposed to be there --- but it is not! (Of course the German version should show this tab as "Erweitert").
b.) Before the upgrade there was a "Microsoft Push e-mail" setting in the TFL3D settings page. This is not there anymore.
Any ideas anyone?
BTW: Can anyone point me to a page describing how to get push-email going with my diamond using a free push-email provider on the internet? Thanks.
Cheers // Tom
a) see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429823
b) Advanced Config - Menu - More Settings - Comm Manager
Deselect something you don't need (so much) and select Push mail
Thanks a lot -- works flawlessly.
Where can I configure Microsoft Direct Push, though? I can't find that?
Thanks // Tom
Open Program Advanced Config (version 3.2)
Select Menu (left bottom)
Select More Settings
Select Comm Manager
Select button style ON/OFF buttons
Then you can select 6 choices
One of the choices is Microsoft Direct Push
OK
Done
Softreset
Ok - got it now.
A related question: I want to use GMX Push Mail using IMAP IDLE.
I've configured the account on the Touch Diamond but how can I enable IMAP IDLE on my Touch Diamond so that it doesn't disconnect the IMAP session and stay connected and immediately get newly arriving e-mails?
Thanks // Tom
Oh - and when I have multiple e-mail accounts, where can I select which e-mail account is the default for the TF3D display?
BTW: I love my Touch Diamond!
Tom
The default email account is the first one you add. The amount of unread emails is an aggregate of all your accounts in TouchFLO 3D.
About the push email, haven't used GFX, but with Exchange you just set Activesync sync schedule to 'As items Arrive' which turns on push email. Sorry I can't help more than that!
Ok, thanks but ain't there a way to change the e-mail account which is used for display in Touchflo 3D?
As for push-email. The HTC e-mail client is said to support IMAP IDLE, however I cannot find any setting related to that?
Any other ideas anyone?
Thanks again everybody for your help.
Cheers // Tom

I'm not sure what you mean, as 'multiple' email account can be shown in TouchFLO 3D? Once you set up more than one, you can click the little icons and the envelope will flip over to show you the next account? And like I said, the first account you set up is the one that is shown first on the mail tab. I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding your question.

Ok, I was misunderstanding the Mail page in Touchflo 3D. I did not see the little e-mail account selection icons on the right border of the screen. I have my old GMX account on the top now and my new GMX Push account on the bottom and can select between the two.
Now the only thing left is the IMAP IDLE setting which I cannot find.
As a related question: GMX requires particular SSL ports to be used for sending/receiving mails. Where can I configure the mail server SSL ports?
Thanks everybody // Tom
