My Keyboad is QWERZ (German) Any way to patch to QWERT
and
Or If i flash with German language(DE) is it English available on that
Thank you

use seome registry editor!
goto HKLM/hardware/keyboard/lang and change it to 409 (english)
not sure if the path is correct but its somewhere arround there.

i flash it with normal WWE version.. it automatically ok..
my kb layout is QWERTZ, but when typing, it will show QWERTY...

is this a question or a statement?
409 = WWE (qwerty)
407 = German (qwertz)

I changed HKLM/hardware/devicemap/keybd/CurLang to 0x409, but that didn't make a difference on my dutch keyboard layout (0x413 (1043)), even after a soft reset.
I have seen a US keyboard cab floating around somewhere, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone still have it?
I've looked some more, and changed HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Keyboard Layout/Active from 00000413 to 00000409, but that didn't work either. Looking further

I was talking about the virtual onscreen keyboard. I know there's several around, but all I can find is paid options (Resco, PocketCM) or something like the Diamond keyboard.
My onscreen keyboard has dutch layout, while the hardware keyboard has US layout. I'd like a US layout for my onscreen keyboard aswel. The letters onscreen are on the same position, but all symbols are mixed up which is very annoying.
In short I'm looking for the original US keyboard with the blueish keys. I don't know if I should change a dll and/or registry setting or if anyone has a cab ready?

ah ok,
HKLM/hardware/devicemap/keybd/CurLang
is the path for the hardware keyboard check itjes other rom threads. im somewhat sure that ive seen cabs for the other soft-keyboards arround there.

I use Resco Keyboard Pro (Screen Keyboard, I don't know if it works on the hardware keyboard as I have an Alpine, you can set a secondary the keyboard language, and just press a key on keyboard and you can swap to a Norweigan keyboard, I know cause I have a sister in Norway.
Download demo from here to try out.

So it can also remap the hardware keyboard?
-John
No, you allready have it. Pres 'a' or 'o' button, then doublepres dot button. After that pres space for as manu times than 'a' becomes 'ä'. Enjoy!
Is there not a faster way? Like a registry hack that would give "ä" when pressing "a" twice very fast? I think that would be a lot faster method - doubleclicking "a" rapidly to get "ä".
Could this be done with a registry editor?

I tried Aekmap but I just couldn't customize it. The menu was hard to use, is there a help file somewhere?
PS. Also, I can't see any scandinavian letters on the Full Screen Keyboard.
I don't know why everything has to be so hard with these Win CE devices, I never had problems finding easy to use programs for my Palm devices...

Well, in order to make it work you have to read an AEC FORMAT section at Aekmap page.
You may contact me via ICQ or by PM and I will explain you in details if the web-site doesn't give you a clue.

KEyboard Layout

I updated today my SPV M3000 from ROM version 1.3.1.11 FRA to the new official version from Orange 2.16.1.3 FRA.
All worked ok. But now the keyboard layout is wrong. When I push the key A in the screw shows the Q.
I need help to now where I can change that.
[/img]
Not 100% sure if it applies to the newer rom:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Changing_Device_Language
I do that and the key "A" and "Q" work well, but the key "Y" and "Z" are wrong. And also the symbols on the keys, like @, *. etc....
I check with a lot of diferent codes but nothing positive.
I have really a big problem!!

So the reg edit there for the Locale -did- change something, at least?
If so - I guess you just need a different Locale than the 'French' one. What is the physical layout of your keyboard itself? i.e. the three rows of letters on the slide-out keyboard
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd]

look for...
- PHM Regedit
- Tascal Registry Editor (TRE)
which are the two popular free ones
- Total Commander CE
has a registry editor built-in. does fast searches, but I wouldn't use it for editing much. also free
And there's a few commercial "does everything" ones that include registry editing
Other than that - if you're familiar with the registry on your desktop machine - you should be ready to go

Hi, f you follow all descriptions that are made in dutch then you may figure out how to do it. I have managed to get the small qwertyy keyboard and the phonepad to work. The only thing is that when I go to input it is as the Dutch one; empty.
But still I managed the get the Swedish dict to work.
I will post description later (I'm travelling at the movement

I have tried many different suggestions, but there are no to work.
How did you do it
Have you done this steps.
Replaced PQwerty0d1d in the windows folder.
Import the reg file
Then you have the swedish åäö on the compact qwert and on the full qwerty as long press key
Let me know how it goes
Romanian and Hebrew?
Is there a way to use predictive input with the two languages above?
I usually write either in English or Romanian (rarely Hebrew). Can the T9 language be switched on the fly (more or less) between two languages?
Please note that I want my GUI interface to stay in English. Can't stand it in a different language...
Thank you for your help.

There are a bunch of txt files in the windows folder
The txt files in the windows folder contains the characters and are mapped to the keyboard picture (The swedish pictures that gets change by running the reg file).
If you look int the reg file there are a lot of files that gets replced to the swedish ones for example "P20-Swdeish-capmap_up.png".
Remember to backup the orginal txt file and the replace with the new one.
Remember that there is no .txt at the end of the file in the windows folder.
I do not have swedish keybord on the phone pad or in the dialer but only on full qwerty (With åäö as longkey press keys) and the compact qwerty with åäö on the keybord.
I also have Swedish T9.
the only way I know how to switch between T9 Language is to install the cab here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121&highlight=language and then use the gui to switch.
For more information about the txt file klick here
A complete n00b here, hi! Someone please explain to me how I can replace the PQwerty file in Windows directory. Resco Explorer complains that the file resides in ROM and cannot be deleted or replaced.
Resco Explorer couldn't do the replace, but Total Commander could. So, I replaced the file, imported the .reg file and achieved a partial success.
Full QWERTY has issues with CAPS/SHIFT button: I can't write capital letters. Also, it seems that input switches over to T9 automatically whenever I bring up a keyboard. Compact QWERTY behaves a bit oddly as well; it seems to bring up T9 mode even though T9 is clearly disabled.
Well, this is still better than before...

Nordic Keyboard

If someone can tell me how to extract keyboard (possible?) I can dump it from my ROM. Bought from Finland and it has all nordics.

In theory all the keyboards should be available in all phones, it's the registry setting that would be nice to know, so if you could post the tegic reg it would be nice.
You would find it in HKLM/software/tegic

Can you be more exact? there are like hundreds of registrys in that folder HKLM/software/tegic/eT9
None in ../tegic exept that folder
Just save the HKLM/software/Tegic registry folder as the "hundreds" of entries describe what keyboard layout, what tegic wordbook to use and so on and so on.
I actually added Danish to my HK version by adding all the registry setting for Danish in to that folder
any news on this?
I've installed duttys rom, and the first impression is great. Only played with it for half a day.
I installed the old blackstone keyboards (which I found in a xperia-thread) and the 14 languages t9-cab, and can now type with norwegian t9. The thing is that the keyboard layout is english, so I have to remeber where they norwegian keys are put on the compqact qwerty.
Anyone got a solution?
A nordic keyboard for these new ROMs would be great. Is it available?
I am using Davideuck's V3 Rhodium and the only thing i miss is the nordic keyboard layout.
To gather everything up nicely..
T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab (2.3 KB)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=94698&d=1214149758
This only adds the option to select the language i want. When writing with XT9 enabled in the full qwerty nothing shows up on screen. If I set it to ABC it works. Keyboard layout is still english, or at least without æ, ø and å witch are the Norwegian characters I would like to get on my keyboard.
Then I will need some dictionary file to add XT9, right? Where can I get that?
Also, when my full qwerty works with XT9 I would prefer to move another step; how do I get compact qwerty with XT9 and nordic (æøå for me) characters?
I lost the compact qwerty when I flashed my ROM with some Dutty-ROM. Oh, and don't get me wrong. His ROMs are fantastic, but I would still love to have compact qwerty
Tried This: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=462284
I installed this reg attached as zip file in this post, and got XT9 working but no keyboard layout in Danish. Maybe the new keyboard is not meant to be like that? Its maybe supposed to be like the Iphone where you keep pressing "o" to get ø etc..? Because this is working fine.. and even the XT9 is suggest words when you use the "o" instead of ø when writing the words.
hmm
I downloaded the cab mentioned in the previous post. It's a 6MB file and it gave me an error message 5 seconds in the install process
"Installation of Touch-IT_Blackstone_Nor_swe_Den_Fin.cab was unsuccessful."
Oh well... I feel like I have searched the entire web twice for this, but finding dictionaries for other languages proves to be difficult. I could even settle for only Norwegian

I have the problem that I'm a danish user, but I use dutty's rom with the new ezimput 2.0 keyboard, but no danish language exist yet to that one.
Now when I try to install the original HD keyboard, the "phone keypad" doesn't work anymore, and hence make it impossible to use T9. It works with full QWERTY, but my fat fingers doesn't work well on that one.
Anyone have the same problem, and have found an solution?
What do you mean that no Danish language exist for that.
Phone keyboard is having "ø" under "mno" button and just like normal multitap.
If it's the T9 you are looking for then use the attached reg key and you'll have Danish added to the language list.
I'm using Dutty 3.3 and it works without problems.

Thanks for the reg file.
I didn't know you were able to have danish on the new ezimput 2, as they state on the thread in "dev and hacking" that it only supports eng, ger, fre, spa etc.
From were do you get the ldb files and kdb files? Or are the danish one included in the dutty rom? Or can you please upload those files aswell?
-offtopic-
I have used my diamond for almost a year and really enjoys it, so now I thought that I would go to the HD. - And I feel like a beginner again. What rom is the best, what is the new essentials etc... :-/
I used the dic file from one of the oploads in this thread, and it worked beutifull. Thanks.
More Languages on ezimput2 from Topaz
This file enables more T9 languages on the latest keyboard.
Layout will be the same.
Did anyone find any solution to the compact keyboard?
In my opinion the compact keyboard is the best one, but in Duttys rom's it doesnt exist.. and Duttys rom is really great so I dont wanna change rom.
The perceft solution would be Dutty rom + Compact keyboard with working T9 swe lang.
please please... tell me that someone solved this...

Finnish/Swedish keyboard layout for HTC Touch Pro

Hi.
If you need Finnish or Swedish keyboard layout for your Touch Pro download it here.
Install to device -> soft reset.
- ä = Fn + a
- ö = Fn + o
- å = Fn + p
IMBA! ill try it out now
Thats for t9. It does not help making the Hardware keyboard make åäö.
Im using Nrg Rom and if your nor suplied with the swedish flies this does not work...
t9 works fine thoe. but nothing allse.
The hardware keyboard is a easy regedit to make it swedish,
HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\
Change CurLang to 1044 and softreset for swedish hardware keys.
your not lissning. even thoe i do that with the nrg rom you still dint get the åäö to show upp! like i said. in all the software modes when using the screen too klick it works without a problem.
But as soon as a switch over and open upp the hardware keyboard it will not typ åäö. If i do Fn + O for exampleall it does is make a normal o...
no problems for me using the same rom, you did install the touch pro keyboard cab right?

And use this tool to change the layout from a fuze rom keyboardlayout, to a "htc" rom keyboard
Or my newest creation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3512681
Hi there m8. Even with your program it still does not help me. If you open upp my Phne and start using my Hardware keyboard with the nrg rom it wont make Ö when i do FN + O....
I just get a normal o.
So im not doing anything wrong and what it seems is that everyone does not understand that this is not the REGISTRY that is the problem. Or if the keyboard is set to fuzz or HTC keyboard.
It seems as if the Swedish files are not in Nrgs rom so ÅÄÖ wont show no matter what registry fixes you do.
So i think that what is needed is the Swedish files in order for this to work. NOT any registry fixes... Do you understand my problem now?
Cause i used your program. I have tried about 5 diffrent regfiles witch realy does about the same thing
and as i see your program is allso just a reg changer that changes the curlang 2 = 41d
Witch beliave me or not its set 2 and i still only get a o when typing FN + O witch should then become a Ö
what version of the nrg rom are you using?
i have ran 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.0 (1.8) and all of them are fully capable of running the Swedish hardware keyboard.
install the touch pro keyboard cab located in the nrg rom thread softreset, change curlang to 1044, softreset and thats it.
Im not sure what files you are after, i can´t recall that i have ever read about any language files for the hardware keyboard, T9 yes not not hardware keys.
if you are running the 2.x series im am fully willing to flash my rom and try the exact same think since im confident that it will work.
Please answer this question:
Did you or did you not install the touch pro keyboard cab for the nrg rom?
Use 2.0 and used the keyboard changer thats in the rom.
???
Hi.
I have used that cab with almost every EnergyROM version there has been (including betas) and that cab has always worked fine. I also tried one 6.5 version and this cab was not working with it - allthough, I did not try very hard...
Things I do:
- change regional settings -> Finnish
- change keyboard layout to Touch Pro
- install the cab
- soft reset
=> now it should work...
@6sto
Tried to do exactly what you wrote, but without success.
I am using EnergyROM Series 2.0 Build 32409
Ouch
Sorry to hear that it didn't work. I apologize but I can't help you any more with this. I hope we have much better helpers here in XDA-developers. Can you help with this issue? Everything is working OK with my Touch Pro!
---
Hey, have you tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496876
I figured it out.
The danish keyboard layout and norwegian is the same. So if I choose norwegian it works
not sure what to say, just flashed the latest nrg 2.0 as i promised, changed keyboard with the provided tool, power cycled like i was prompted to do, changed curlang to 1044 and softreset, and now i have my Swedish hardware keyboard.
Do you realy have ÅÄÖ visual when typing FN + o on the hardware keyboarD? i failt do think you do that. on t9 yeh. but not on the hardware keyboard.
And with Nrg rom 2.0 i changed to nor fin swe dk well all but still when typing fn+o i get = o.
And used the keyboard program so its Htc keyboard and not fuzz. Nothing will do it it seems.

you do change the regkey to 1044 in decimal value and softreset after you change the keyboard layout to touch pro right?
in the 2.0 all you need to do is change to touch pro keyboard and then change curlang to 1044 decimal value and softreset, that is it.
im not sure how to help you, i even flashed the 2.0 to test it for you, no problems at all, i honestly suggest you start looking at what you are or are not doing compared to the guides.
Follow the guides we wrote for you and it WILL work.
Good luck.
It is acualy as you say. If you direcly after installing the rom do as you say it will work. BUT here comes the tricky part.
What if you want both the hardware keyboard to work. And the t9?
Cause id realy like to have the phone as it is in the swedish vertion. Were both are working.
Cause as of now i know how to get either t9 or hardware keyboard working but not both.
Anyone that knows a solution to getting the t9 in swedish when you have hardware working?
