I have created a number of skins to compliment the HTC retouched Dialer
and the Action Screen / Comm Manager Colours. This is the first version of my SPB Shell 2.0 skin.

Whats Needed:
- SPB Shell 2.0
INSTALLATION:
- Install SPB Mobile Pocket Shell 2.0
- Chose which theme you want & Download.
- Unzip the MM-Shell Skin files.
- Copy & Paste the 8 files into the SPB Shell
directory on your Mobile.
ie: \Program Files\SPB Mobile Shell\"Here"
- & Soft Reset.. ta da!

Just some files you drop into your SPB Directory with File Explorer. Simple as that really, oh and a soft reset

Will you be releasing just CABs, or instructions as well? I have a 700WX, so my square screen can't utilize your skins, but I would love to learn how to change the wallpaper!!! Thanks

How did you get the backgrounds to work? That's the one thing I'm still struggling with. In particular, how did you create the background.bmp and background_m.bmp?

Now its getting even more exciting seeing threads like this. Hoping more people start making some insanely sexy skins making it easy for "not so mobile savvy" people like me to easily customize stuff. Though this one isnt that attractive to me, but good work. The only thing Id love changed to make this super sexified, would be a way to customize the icons for that 4th slide.

I have a little comment that do we really need the close button now? I think we can leave it out cause anytime, we can slide the screen down to close the Shell screen and get to the HTC Home screen.
Anyway, thanks for your really welldone job.

Prefer a cab
I have been checking this and the SPB Shell/SPB Shell Guide discussion and neither offers a cab install. All the copying and replacing files and renaming etc., is a hassle. I really hope this one comes in a cab cause it looks awesome.

Update..
I will be releasing it later tomorrow sometime. Basically with 3 background options. So you can just download which ever you prefer.
Installation will be simple. You just drop the dat files into your SPB Shell folder. I recommend backing up your SPB shell directory first. It really is that simple.
The tsk file is already available in the forum somewhere but i will post that also for use tomorrow.

Resco Keyboard Diamond Skin

Hi all
I think more people should know this Resco Keyboard. I was used to use it on my Cruise and found out that it's also work well on our Diamond, with VGA screens.
And it looks like it's easy to skin. The PNG files of the keyboard are contained in the skin folder of the sofware with a "skin.ini file".
I managed to improve the usability of the keyboard by changing some values in the "skin.ini" file (joined), so now, by selecting the "correction" mode in the options, you can move on the letters with your finger before choosing the good one, like on the Iphone. It's very efficient and fast.
Now, as I'm not gifted in skinning (even if I tried... pfffff), I'm looking for some help to make one for our Diamond. Black or white, 2D or 3D lol, all good ideas are welcome
I hope you'll try and like this software and for the talentued ones, share a nice skin.

No idea... Must be in the software files and not in the skin folder I guess and the keyboard already looks fantastic

I would love a Resco Keyboard skin with Æ,Ø and Å. I'm from Norway, and I use these letters pretty much. Is this possible?

I use Resco Keyboard when not using SPB Full screen KB....I do like the swipe functions for backspace and space...etc...
Will these skins work? A VGA version would be nice (if necessary)

how do i install the zeubug's keyboard? where do i extract the files/folder?

[SKN] BlueFlames all around for QVGA

UPDATE: 1-13-09 Moved from General, added PCMK .14 and Today background. Can someone put together a tsk if I provided the colors? I have attatched my tsk can you just change the image to my today background? I cant seem to get my theme creator to work anymore. Or can you point me to a decent free one?
UPDATE: 12-22-08 Added color to commanager icons, Fixed issues with cabs not installing, added skin for stock keyboard, added skin for PCMKeyboard .19
I'm not a pro, but just thought I would offer a little variety(more the merrier,right?). These skins are for QVGA devices, work great on my kaiser. Some may only work on kaiser or device with 320x240 or 240x320, so make sure to backup your device before installing cabs. Let me know if you have any problems with installation. I am new to putting together cab files and all that, but they all worked fine on my device. Please give any feedback or suggestions. These are some of my first skins and would like to know how to make them better, so if anyone with experience could help me out, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks for looking and trying these skins out. I am planning on making skins for every aspect of my phone that I possibly can, so check back every week or so. Please leave feedback so I can iron out any issues. I will most likely be re-doing the Action screen to look more like the commanager and dialer. Right now it seems a little dark.
NOTE: These pictures do no show up well, I'll try to put them together and post one pic with all.

It is resized from the qvga which loses clarity but you will have to google it to find the VGA high resolution. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. (480x640) Here's another one somewhat like it in a high resolution. It is 480x640.

[WM6.5] Start Menu - 3/4/5/6 Items Wide - WVGA/VGA/QVGA/WQVGA

I recently made some cabs for the HD2 to change the start menu to 4 or 5 items wide. As this was quite popular I have been working to support more devices. It makes the start menu 3, 4, 5 or 6 items wide (portrait) and keeps the same icon size for landscape.

It is perfect for my Omnia. Just to provide you some more feedback, the 5 columns cab was also working very fine, but the icons were too small and too crowded for my liking. This is better.

Works great on i910 Omnia.
I like the 5 wide so I can see most of the menu in one place,less screen dragging to find a program icon.
The icons are small but the setup from my 3 wide is still in place for the most part

Is it possible to make it 3 columns in portrait mode, and 5/6 in landscape ?

Could you also throw a cab together that reverts back to the standard 3 columns? A lot of custom ROMS for my Tilt2 have the 4 or 5 column built in, and I think it slows down the device and I prefer the larger icons in the 3 column arrangement.
I haven't found a universal cab that will revert it on the Tilt 2, it seems that each ROM chef has to make his own for the particular ROM.

just to clarify. I'd like to have 3-wide in portrait, and 6-wide in landscape. But I want them to change automatically when I rotate my screen. Is this possible ? Since now when I rotate my screen I have 3wide both in landscape and portrait.

I am afraid it is not 6-wide in landscape. It is 4-wide for VGA/QVGA users and 5-wide for WVGA/WQVGA, as this keeps the icon size the same when switching between portrait and landscape.
I havent done the 6-wide yet (this is quite a boring task!) so will probably get that finished tomorrow. Once that is done, im thinking it would be pretty straightforward to release separate cabs for portrait and landscape, allowing users like you to pick the number of items you want for each.

Landscape
The only thing that I havent been able to figure out is on the Call progress screen there is a graphical error that shows dots on the speaker button, but it is non the graphic. If someone can let me know what it is I will see about fixing it.

As one of the members that asked for the continuation of Livven project (really fantastic one!), and missing the Contacts shortcut in that design, I have installed your dialer but I don´t have the main screen totally skinned.
Hard to explain, but I think it´s related to the speed dial. Just up of the "1,2,3" row, appears part of the screen belonging to the old Windows dialer, that is "behind" your dialer (the screen that appears partially is the one that displays last calls and contacts).

hi - i have this problem too .
the dialer screen stay upper than start bar . and so up side off dialer don't have any space to appear .
but this dialer is really good dialer.

@Panchiron & @sattar1363 Can either one of you provide a screen shot.
Did you uninstall the previous dialers and do a soft reset and then install my dialer?

Not sure which "previous dialers" are you talking about. But I have the same issue when using Minimal Dialer or TouchFLO 2D Dialer with the Smartdial Enabler installed.
And no idea about how to provide a screenshot Any suggestion would be very appreciated.

That is the way it is supposed to look. That is the way it is on my phone. The image that I posted was the graphic I made not installed. I dont know how to change the proportions. It is how the person who made it. On the WQVGA version that I am doing it shows all of the number, not just part of it.
