I am looking for a solution to a problem. It may be something I have done or do not have a setting correct or something. When viewing my contacts, I cannot see ANY information on the summary screen. All of the information is there since I can make and receive calls with proper identifying. I just cannot see the information on the screen. It is completely white. I have searched the forums but cannot seem to find a similiar problem. Hence I think it might be a setting as opposed to a problem, but I am not sure. I am running Duttys WM6.1 ROm Build 19585.
do you see your contacts as a list in your contacts and when you tap on one the entire screen goes white?
I'm a bit confused, can you please clarify with more details.
i do see the list of contacts, when i select one, i am presented with the "tabbed" dialog with Summary and Notes. The summary tap is completely white. i do not see any of the details. The Notes tab shows the information correctly. thanks for the look fone_fanatic, any help would be appreciated!

At minimum, 5 fiddly clicks from the Today screen to editing a new SMS.
Anyone know a good short-cut?
Please ignore me...
Just found this thread on page 2:

thanks!
this already have an open thread with 2 cabs in it I perfer the cab I posted but anyway try searching first next time buddy!
You may want to check out PocketCM. I love the interface and the Threaded SMS view. Very simple and clean.
You simply click contacts, click the contact and then click SMS. there you will see all sms conversations (which you can scroll) your messages are a different color then the contacts and a text input area at the bottom where you just start typing and click send.
I know this isn't what you were talking about but i have gotten very use to this and found it much faster after using it for a couple of months.

Click to collapse
As I mentioned in one of the other threads, what I do is start with the contact... from the Today screen, click contacts, select your contact whichever way you like to do, then select "send text message". You're now at the point of editing a new text message. Since all the steps you did to select a contact you would have had to do anyway, those clicks were all "free". This is actually much shorter than if you had the "new" command that people are clamoring for.
Hi All,
Has anyone successfully changed the layout of the e-mail tab in TF3D? I find the little envelope that shows you 2 1/2 lines of the top message to be just about useless. I'd really rather have just a list of messages come up.
What do you think? Is this possible?
Mode9 Editor
It is possible, and not all that hard to make some changes that will render the email previews much more useful. Search the forums for "Mode9 editor" and you'll find the most excellent work done by 6Fg8. Use this to make the envelope graphics transparent and you'll get much more readable area in the message previews.
I am trying to figure out how to un-tilt the message viewing area (i.e. make it flat like the way messages are shown in the "Messages" tab) but have not had much success yet. If I can ever manage to get this going, will post.
Thanks for the info. The Mode9 changes are an improvement, but the problem is that this whole idea is flawed. It only shows one message at a time. I lots of times get 3-5 e-mails before I bother to look at them (that's what happens when you're up to 300/day!).
We should really work on a solution that is more like an apreviated/improved inbox. I'm just not sure where to get started on such a thing.
Try the BBExtreme3 skin. Takes the envolope off and up and down motions scroll through what emails you have.

Hi All,
If I open a contact in the contacts tab, there is no information in the Summary tab and the menu soft key doesn't work. It greys out but doesnt do anything. I can only access the contact information if I go into the Notes tab and then press menu then edit. Then I can see the details page and indeed edit.
I have tried Resco Contacts and other contacts programmes, but these take up valuable memory and seem to slow the system down.
Can anyone please help me.
Bump.... Any help please?
I have had this issue on all WM 6.5 ROMS I have tried. Sometimes my office apointments synced to my Fuze are longer than a few words. When that occurs, I can not see all the appointment text in Agenda view or Day view. Clicking on the appointment to get the view screen does not help because it only shows 2 lines, and there is no scrolling to show more. So I still can not see all the text. The only solution I found is to hit Menu, then Edit, and scroll right to read all the info (like topic of meeting, meeting attendees, phone numbers, etc.). Not a very elegant solution. I have searched xda for a solution without finding a fix. Also called AT&T, who hooked me up with MS: "You are putting too much info in the appointment-just use a few words and abbreviate." Not a viable solution, since I do not generate many of my Calendar entries.
Anyone have a way to show more than 2 lines in Appointment view, or other fix? Thanks.
Hi All,
I changed builds to 28205 from a previous 23514 build.
In that one, pocket Outlook displayed the first 3 lines of the message body in the message list, an extremely useful feature which had me spotting important stuff at a glance.
Does anybody know what this is and how can i get that feature back on?
Thanks!!
anyone?
Pls help
Apparently this is a 235xx feature only.
Posting in case anyone will search for this.
If you use TF3D it will show the first few lines in the envelope on the mail tab.
