email account name: already in use?

Anycome come accross the scenario of having to (or being forced to) delete an existing email account and then trying to recreate it?
I have deleted my POP3 account, and then tried to recreate it using the same name as previously. I get a pop up box telling me that 'that name is already assigned to an account, please choose a unique name' or something like that.
This behaviour persists even after soft reset. Does anyone know where the name(s) of the email accounts are stored on the TyTN II - is it the registry or one of the system databases? I've searched the registry for the name of the account I was trying to use and come up with nothing.
I remember having the same problem with the original TyTN, is there a fix for this little bug?

The Messaging app is really weird. This might not be the same issue with yours, but I got one strange problem as well before:

Cannot find any solution elsewhere, tried a lot of forums, Microsoft WinMo forum ...
I ended up with hard-reset ... and it works. Now, I dont have the issue anymore (knock3 ... ).

I know this is an old reply and an even older thread, but I have to say thank you! I searched through tons of threads that did not help me solve this issue. I got a replacement phone of same model and moved the Sprite Backup data to the new phone which went fine, I just couldn't pull up the old email account even though TouchFlo saw it. It just wouldn't show up in Messaging and I couldn't recreate the account cause it kept saying an account by that name already existed. This tool worked great to fix my issue. Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum. It's really refreshing to see a first time poster who's read the rules, searched (comprehensively) and found their own solution without starting a duplicate thread. It just goes to show, the information is usually out there for the taking if you persist. I wish more people behaved this way.

Today Screen Plugin Question

Ok, This may be the wrong forum to ask this, I'm not sure. If it is the wrong forum, can you point me in the right direction? Couldn't find anything better via Google. The reason I chose this is because I own the AT&T Tilt and you all seem very knowledgeable about windows mobile and this phone.
I am trying to create a today screen plugin that just parses information (a picture) from a website every hour or so.
There is a Google gadget for a Japanese word of the day, and I have contacted the creator and asked if it would be possible to get the source for the gadget. They agreed, and gave me a web page that has some information about it.
Just trying to parse the web address for the word of the day image from this web page http://www.hitsalive.com/japanese_wotd/wotd_png.php then display that picture on the today screen.
Is there some simple plugin I can start with and edit you think?

I have went through page after page and searched but could not find, the web browser that is in beta right now, that you have to sign up for to try, no it is not opera, and they will send u a message when they have 'room' to give u the download? any ideas? thanks in advance!

Skyfire, that's the newest one and I signed up for it but, after reading the fine print, I'm not gonna use it. They track every single site you go to, what hardware and software is on your phone, how you use it,everything you do.
Not that it isn't happening already here in the U.S., but I'd read the fine print on their site if I were you

Yeah man, thanks a lot for that info. I need to start reading the fine print, because that is kind of weird that they will know everything on my phone. It sucks though, theres a catch for everything that 'looks' good.

ATT Notify Message

I have two tilts one is my main tilt, on a full service plan,
the other is phone on the side, and I use the pay as you go, I only use the unlimited Text,video and mms feature. Well so my plan is unlimited.
So i was wondering if there was any way to turn off or change the ATT notify alert, every time I send a text it chimes and every time i receive a text it chimes twice once for the message and once to tell me how much i have left on my account, in which I don't need a stupid message because mine's unlimited. So is there a way i can turn it off or change the tone, maybe something in the registry or something ? thanks for your help in advance.

What html code do I use for links in my signature? Have it link to say the thread on cognition or his site, the kernal thread or twitter?

Forums don't use html code. They use BB Code. When you go to edit your signature, look for the icon that looks like the earth with a chainlink on it. That's the hyper link button. Self explanitory from there really...

Look at bbcode(dot)org(front-slash)examples (this 8 post thing is bringing me down... I tried to actually give you the code, but anything having to do with a weblink or the URL tag makes the forum angry). From there click "Posting Images" and it will give you an example that should work.
So you will need the image hosted somewhere (xda photo albums... think I saw that in the user CP?), get the address of it, and put that in for the IMG tag, and then you use the URL after the = sign. You should be able to copy/paste that and just change the http parts inside to suit what picture and link you want.

I deleted the beginning and ending bracket and replaced it with the Astrix* symbol so you know what it looks like. The text that you are linking is in red, and should go between the URL code. Hope that makes sense.
Quick way of doing it is, highlight the text you want linked>once it is highlighted click on the insert link button> paste the url > and hit ok. Now the text that you are linking should be in the middle as above. Hope any of this makes sense, can get confusing.

Uh, well it's still not letting me. Still comes out as url string, no text link. But now I know how to do it. I'll check with a mod and see if permissions are set to no for me. At the bottom of the page it says they are all good. Thanks again guys.
