I have just bought this Fish brand , it's a trackball mouse to use with my 4 in 1 cable , it is plug and play device - no driver or any download whatsoever needed , looks like a silver fish or dolphin shaped , with a trackball on top and two vertical - right & left click buttons on the bottom , you hold the mouse like a banana but only straighter , rotate the cursor with your thumb , and right click with pointing finger , and left click with your middle finger . Because it is only Usd 7.50 ! - from great wall of China , he he he , the rotation and the cursor is slight slower compare to normal mouse , but it is usually used inside a subway or bus or train whereby you dont have a flat hard surface for a normal mouse - as you are holding the Fish mouse . And it is still usable because our device screen is 5 inches , small enough to one full roll and you can move the cursor from left to right or top to bottom or vice versa to about 2.5 to 3 inches in length . It is best to use with IE for scrolling down the page as you just point the cursor to the left side bottom arrow , and right click , it moves just like you tap the touchscreen . Compared to logitech , it is priced at Usd 20 locally and it is very big in size plus it is designed to put on a flat surface too but stationery position .

In Malaysia u can buy it from Low yat plaza 3rd floor - call me if u r in KL i tell u which shop exactly ! , or the Mines 3rd or 4th floor - also call me if u r in KL @ +60122071966 , or buy it from the net @ www,brando.com.hk , go to usb mouse , click All , or type fish trackball usb , u can get it there , pay by paypall , it is safe , i hv bought from them before - no cheating from them . but u can only use it with 4-in-1 cable or buy from brando - dopod u1000 charging dock complete with usb female socket - where u can plug in the usb fish trackball and lug & play , for small 5 inch screen it is quite scrollable , but not so efficient for normal desktop and laptop screen pls ... thanks for reading - cheers - jimmunsw

Broken Fish - How are your fish doing?
I have a fish - 2 of them actually. I bought them in Manila.
My problem started when the right button of my first fish got destroyed after using it extensively for playing. I opened it up and found that the right button switch they used was different from the one on the left (the one on the left is the switch commonly used on most mice).
So I bought a new one. After awhile though, my new fish started malfunctioning... first Windows would fail to detect it. Next, windows would say that a USB device malfunctioned... next the computer wouldnt even boot unless I disconnect the fish! After removing the fish, the computer would work fine.
So what I did was to transplant the switch from my newer fish to my older one. I noticed that both fish used a different IC and the newer one even had some jumpers on it which the older fish didnt have.
After that I found that my old fish was working great again!
Lately though I noticed that my mouse would suddenly be disconnected from the computer and when I put it back on it will reconnect. This would happen to my other USB devices as well. I had my computer checked and the USB connectors were fine... finally I noticed that the computer and other USB devices would work fine WITHOUT the fish which lead me to conclude that the fish is again causing the trouble. Just this morning when I connected the fish into my USB port, windows didnt recognize it and said that a USB device was malfunctioning.
After more than a year of use, I want to know how your fish are doing? Do you guys have the same problem as mine, or could there be a problem somewhere else? Or could it be that my supply of fish is of inferior quality.

touch screen doesnt work
my diamond's touch screen started not to work anymore.. and i though maybe its the rom or something.. i flashed a new rom and now i stucked at the screen allign thing.. when im touching the the plus shaped thing, phone is not responding.. when i touched several times, it respond like 2-3 min later.. but i couldnt pass the allign screen thing.. any idea about the problem??

Speed up the phone through changing the touch screen Hi guys, today it is rany sunday. So i changed my ugly scrached touch screen of the Touch Diamond. I bought it for about 10,00 € at ebay. It was coming with tools for screws with Torx. But my phone has only cross slot screws with size "Philips 000". You can buy the glass for about 5,00 € without the tools. I was glad to find this tool in my own box. I used this tutorial: http://erkinson.altervista.org/de/htc-touch-diamondsmontaggio-e-sostituzione-touchdisplay/ It's original language is italian but the google translation was great enough. The brazing for the cable of the touch glass was easilier than i thought. The two connectors from the screen and from zhe key pad i must connect two times. The first try the screen stay blank after switching on. For this two connectors read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657514 Now everything is working fine and it seems that the phone is much faster after the repair. The steering over the screen is much more smoothly and all movements are more exactly. Is it possible that the scratches on the screen require mor calculating power while the movements with the tip or the finger? Try it and share some results with me. Rudi Add 21.09.11: Now the phone is running well some days. The only thing that is not working anymore is the power consumption out of the battery. The Phone is getting hot and the battery is empty very fast. Also when the phone is switched off (not in standby) the battery is empty after about 3 hours. I disassembled and assembled again but with no new results. I was looking for some fibre of the metallized tapes. But i found nothing. Has someone experiance with that behavier? Rudi
[Q] Help! Screen off with open qwerty!
Hi guys, I've this terrible problem: when I open the qwerty, the screen just turns off. The touch works, and also the x1. It's like there's no video signal, as if I removed the VGA cable from the video card of my PC. It's a software or hardware issue? thanks in advance guys, you rock. I hope you can help me!

Click to expand... Click to collapse Really? This has been said so many times before. It's the ribbon / flex cable. It fails over time. You need to replace it. I've had to do it myself too. They sell them on eBay.

If you can't order via ebay (I mean not everyone is having credit card beside the price is pricey for an old phone), you can try what I have practiced... This is credited to Russell.Eclair (from russelleclair.blogspot.com but his blog is closed right now, here is some important information I archieved) so if you want to thank, just thank to him. Manipulating your XPERIA X1's broken flex cable. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is manufactured by HTC. Since HTC is an advance company that produced PDA-Phone and its classes, some speculation about HTC hidden plan show up when Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 shows many problems; broken housing, terrible signal reception and unacceptable high price device. One of its other problem is flex cable. Once it is broken, it will start from giving unresponsive touchscreen till blackout screen while slider is out. Leaving the speculation, the problem actually can be prevented and cured... See my tutorial about dissambly your X1 (you can try to look for in youtube) - You can stop when the front and rear compartment being separated. First method "Tape Patching", (not working with me) - You can also apply this method as a prophylaxis, prevent this problem while you like using the XPERIA X1 keyboard. - As easy as ABC, just put insulator tape on the scratch side of flex cable -see blue rectangle with red 'X' inside. - You may put on another side but it will give a hard slide-out. Second method "Arc Manipulator", (it's working) - Try this when you are failing from the first method. - You can make a very thin plastic with a proper size -see black rectangle with red 'X' inside- and the thick of the plastic should not be thicker than half height of left compartment -see gray rectangle. (I use broken Lego, about 2-3 mm thick and 1x2 cm large) - Glued it as close as possible to the edge of the 'arc' flex cable -see yellow line. Explanation: So even the flex cable being retracted while the slider out, the position of 'arc' flex cable is manipulated as closed slider flex cable position. You've got to be sure that the thick of the plastic will not make the flex cable out of the housing so for assurance, try to move the slide locker upside down several times -see gree rectangle. Third "Replacing", (you will try this if you're inpatient and fully desperate) - Replace with a new flex cable and don't forget to apply first method before you go on with your X1. Broken screen - touch work but no picture...
Hello guys ... I hope some one can give me a hand here I was mad and slammed my SXL device in the ground and it messed up a lot of things ... 1-screen is broken like hell 2-black screen but there is small light coming out though and soft keys i feel they vibrate and when my sister called screen was with a little light and when I pulled the ring (I assumed that i pulled it...) and it worked i can talk but i cant see any picture but small light and the flash led works the volume keys and power key and charging slot need a bit push to work (the phone shape got like the phone ate too much fat its banded like its fat XD) though volume buttons arent working (as I said the part where those three things connected moved a bit and made the phone look like its fat) and if you want pictures ill upload soon... I just wanted to know what parts should I buy to replace and a guide to show me how to fix (with amount of money I need to buy the parts) OR how much will it cost me if i took it to an expert and told him to fix it ?? please replay As soon as you see the thread
S pen problem!!!
Hello All Recently as i didnt use the pen realized that my pen wont work in a line and jump over it...Actually Dead Space! First look at the LED light draw a direct line to down of phone Second look at the letter M in the world Samsung Logo under speaker n draw a line to down... The space between this two line, from up to down of phone, my pen wont show its hover when i place it over that space, like a magentic its push it to that side(see Screenshot) its scrieve in that aria i cant write there just my pen slick from there.. pushing n pulling between the two lines... Tried many roms, resets, full stock but no chance at all I tested my pen on Note3 n it was fine (N3 pens wont work on N5 at all) If pen is ok so its a phone problem... What is wrong here...i dono if it wasnt work from 1st day or if it causes by installing some custom rom kernel n changing vlotages n power by Symapse... I dont use any kinde of bag, case or cover on my phone only a glass... I used *#0*# n select spen it didnt changed. Is it a SW problem or Hw!!!? If its SW what should i do?what piece is wrong? Broken screen (bottom half)
My S10 fell out of my hands the other day and the bottom half of the screen is broken. The top half of the screen is somewhat visible. I'd like to get all the data/pictures off of the phone. What is the best way to do this? I can't get it unlocked because I have no idea if touch is still working on the bottom half, so I can't really get it into USB Transfer mode. I'd like to avoid going to the local phone fixer. Thanks for your help.
Maybe you can try to connect it to a USB-C Monitor, some have built in hubs to which you can connect a mouse and then control the phone like that. I know that not everyone has a USB-C Monitor but maybe you can find one at work or something. Hope that helps you. Greetings Fast_Lessy
