I think you have to take this out to an existing Chef in a PM. Most of them are already busy with developing ROMs and their personal life. So, you really have to pe pursusavie in your request.
Good Luck!
Thanks for your answer.

Hi All,
I'm trying to cook my first ROM and would like it to be on WM 6.5
I tried the Blackstone kitchen posted here but unfortunately all the WM6.5 ROMs are not extractable - I tried ALL of them.
Would any of the ROM cookers be kind enough to make his ROM extractable by the kitchen or perhaps point me to a tutorial explaining how to create a WM6.5 ROM for the Touch HD (i.e. import from a ROM cooked for another device).
I did search the forum before asking but couldn't find anything.
Your help is much appreciated and thanks for your help in advance.
I guess starting with a WM6.5 rom isn't that clever, as you must know a lot of xip porting. I haven't tried it myself, but as far as I know there were also some issues with the drivers.
Have you already tried davideuck's version? "Rom-source" sounds good, doesn't it?

I've always wondered what the [ROM-SOURCE] means but now I noticed that davideuck has included the SYS and XIP. Although I still have no idea what these are, it's food for thought and I'll do some digging to get more information.
In the meantime, if anyone can help with any information, it will be much appreciated.
I appreciate your reply john, thanks very much.

Some information is given here:

Q: What is the XIP?
A: It's the kernel of the ROM.
Q: What is the SYS folder?
A: It's where all the new apps included in each Windows Mobile release are stored. PM me asking me where to find them.

My problem, as I said in the first post, is that all the WM6.5 ROMs are not extractable - I tried ALL of them.
I am now playing with ROM/Kitchen posted in this thread - exactly what I need.
I have already cooked a ROM using the thread above and will be adding my apps and registry tweaks possibly this weekend when I have some spare time.
Thanks for your help John.
I would like to build my own bare 6.5 windows OS with TF. How can I get started? Where to begin, what ROMS do I need. What kitchen software should I use..etc. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Good place to start.
need additional info..
I have read that post previoulsy. My confusion lies if my device came with OS 6.1 with TF and what to update to new 6.5 with TF. I just down want the fluff that are included in the other ROMS (sorry if I insult your build of the roms) I have already dumped the raw files and have the factory ROM that I was able to find here.

hello everybody,
my previous thread got shut down cause i wasnt specific enough...
anyway i am just wondering if there is any stock-like windows mobile 6.5 roms running the latest build 23053 around. meaning there are no additional added apps by the chief and everything is originally from microsoft.
there is the miri 23053 rom but there are third party apps added to it, hence it is not that clean
greatly appreciate it if somebody can provide me with this rom!
Bertrand
No there isnt. Use the SYS from Development and Hacking Subforum and cook your own rom. Thats it!
help!
oh man that is a very complicated series of steps for a rookie like me hmm is there anyone around here able to help? or simply provide me with some basic instructions?

yes there is!! kwbr has a thread that will explain all things steps and links to all you need to know .... it involves some reading, a lot of failure, some hair pulling, some urges to just bring fourth a hammer and show that phone what you really feel about it, but if you stick with it , one day you will enjoy the satisfaction of having your own cooked rom on your device ....
so here you go.... http://tinyurl.com/yaqgjrt
thanks
alright thank you! I shall try to follow the steps provided! but meanwhile anyone able to help and provide a stock-like windows mobile 6.5 rom based on 23053 will be much appreciated!
Good luck with your rom.
Miri has already created a rom based on build 23053 and is currently working on others using same build. He is veru accomodating, so I'm sure if you PM'ed him he may include a lite version in his next release. Other chef's may also provide this if you ask them nicely
Just a thought
alright thank you for all the help people!
meanwhile i hope someone can produce a rom like this soon!

I just didnt want to mess up my device. Thanks!
