How To Disable HTC Audio Manager... - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

I'm really sorry if this has been covered before, but I did search via Google and couldn't find anything.
Basically, I've disabled TF3D, and I use Pocket Player for my music (in spite of the skipping sound), so I don't need HTC Audio Manager. Normally, I'd just leave it alone, but I found out that the weirdness I was experiencing w/ Pocket Player (real laggy, freezes)was caused by HTC AM. I'm assuming because it's trying to generate a database/extract all the album art from the 10gigs of music on my phone. I can kill the process w/ Task Manager, but it comes back whenever I start playing Pocket Player. Is there any way to disable it for good? It's a pain to always have to kill the process before I listen to any music. And if possible, I'd like something reversible.
I'm running the stock ATT ROM on my Fuze.
Thanks in advance!

Touchflo 3D music: system gets slow!

Whenever I use the music tab in TFL3D the whole phone gets very slow! I have no idea what is causing this. The music plays well, without any hickups, but when I want to scroll to a different tab for instance, it has become major laggy...and stays laggy until I soft reset my diamond!
Whenever I use Windows Media Player to listen to music, there is no problem at all, everything goes smooth; scrolling, opening other programs etc.
Does anyone know what the problem can be and how to solve this? It's really not a big deal, as I can play my music through WMP, but I would rather like to use the TFL interface. Maybe it has something to do with the album art? As I can't seem to scroll through them either.
Oh, and I don't have any more programs open when my diamond gets laggy
Thanks in advance!

Media Player

Whats a good Media Player like the one on HTC TruFlo3D?
I dont like the S2P also, its a crappy iphone knock off, no offense to the developer but this is coming from someone who had a iphone.

its been asked and answered several times before and varies from person to person....alot recommend coreplayer...
coreplayer is to complex. am looking for something simple but with alot of functionality, am coming from a iphone so am looking for a audio player along that line, so far i like the HTC TouchFlo3D player but thats only enable when u have touch flo on, if i disable touch flo am stuck without music
Players
Mort player maybe? It has some simple layouts and deep features if you dig into it.
I use the WMP most of the time. Simple and already there.
What I would like is a app the sends playback control commands to WMP while another app like GPS is in the foreground. Something like butler that would use swipe L and R (on the joypad surface not the screen) for prev and next track, maybe swipe up to toggle play/pause and down for next play list or album? That would not interfere with most apps and would put and end to 95% of my task switching.
If you're coming from an iPhone and are expecting similar software, there really isn't any. You'll just have to go out and get an iPod Touch. It's not that WinMo media players are worse, they're just different, so if you can't get used to having something different you probably won't find anything you like.
As always, searching is good. To get you started, look for CorePlayer, TCPMP, Conduits Pocket Player, or MortPlayer.

Program reccomendations

Hello,
Is anyone here able to reccommend some programs that can offerr the following:
Audio player that I can start to listen to an audio book mp3 file then can close the application or switch off the phone then go back and reopen the player and continue listening from the same point?
Application so I can password protect or pincode protect some folders - Just a simple pin code protection is all i need.
Thanks
Regards,
Neil

And HTC Audio Manager
I can't see how the Nitrogen app can do what I need!
Bumping this thread - I need the same program that Neil is asking for. Just a simple file protection by password - nothing elaborate needed. When I had my Palm treo the built in messages software had the ability to just secure each file by a password if needed. Looking for the same here. I've done searches and nothing relevant came up. Anyone?
I used Pocket Music for audio book for long time. It is the best.
It has bookmark feature and automatically save the last point you listened to, and resume when next time you start it. ( all those features have to be turned on via settings)
Also I set the Camera button to act as play/pause key very handy...unfortunately hardware button mapping doesn't work with raphael. It works perfects with old wm phones but has some issues on raphael/diamond.
I downloaded it from iphone-forum.org and pda4x.com long time ago.
Don't know if you can find one (especially the latest one with crack )
encrypt folders -- use winrar or zip for wm?

I've been using MortPlayer to do that. The setup wizard allows even a novice to select directories with songs to use in regular music mode, and directories with audiobooks. Everyone else can set it up easily through the menus.
With a tap on the screen I can switch to the music directory to listen to music, or flip to the audio-book directory to continue listening from where I was at in the book. Long drives in the car require some variety...

Is it possible to get rid of the Audio manager?

Hi folks,
I've searched everywhere here and I can't find followig:
How kann I remove/block the Audio Manager?
Many of you will tell I'm not serious, but I can't see it anymore; Ok, it's faster when jumping from an mp3 to another and it's fast to reach and activate, but I use either S2P or WM... The point ist, it gets randmly activated after a call for example, a total pain in... whatever...
Do anyone have a clue, RegKey or cab that could help on this?
Cheers!
PD: IF THERE IS A THREAD ABOUT THIS, please tell me and close this one, I don't wanna spam here, but I really didn't find it!
I would also like to hear if there is a solution to the lil problem of the audio manager randomly turning on after I make a call. Its pretty damn inconvenient..
I use TF3D Config to turn off the [worthless] Music tab. Thereafter I use Pocket Player for my media needs. I never have Audio Manager resuming after a phone call. I may (or may not) have Pocket Player resume after a phone call (configurable).
I believe Pocket Player uses Audio Manager to, well, manage audio. IOW Audio Manager is the backend, controlling the playback, process and Pocket Player (and Windows Media or S2P or the Music tab itself) are front ends. You are runnign the Music tab front end which is resuming playback after the phone call. Disable it and then you should not get that annoying behavior (Unless say WMP, or S2P or whatever is configured to resume after phone call).
No. If you turn off Music TF3D tab, Audio Manager is not used, or loaded by anything.

headset control buttons

i am having problems with my stock headsets
the control buttons dont work at all.
i cant pause/unpause or change track while listening to music
i cant pick up or hang up a call either.
anyone facing the same issues?
any fixes?
Could be two things.
Do you use a task killer? Make sure you're not killing the required service or app.
If you have installed other music players they may have taken over the controls, to overcome this you can reinstall the stock music app or w/e your using.

i've had pandora, but issues still apply to pandora as well
i've wiped and tried the headset with the music player right after before installing any other apps, and still i have the same issues
Uninstall any media player app you have installed, it could be interfering with headset clicks.
Use default media player and enable headset controls in configuration.
Put the default media player widget on any of the main screens.
If it doesn't work yet. Try installing DroidShuffle and check again.
there's also an app on the market called fix headset controls or restore music controls.. something like that which restores the head phone buttons to original.
