Hi all, I've created HTC Rhodium CustomRUU patched to perform a 'task 32' instead of a 'task 28' after flashing an .nbh, so it will not format your device if you just flash a radio or a splash screen.
How to: Drop the .nbh file of your choice in the same folder as CustomRUU and start flashing.
Have fun.
Changelog:
v1.1
Small fixes to avoid false detections by antivirus software.
Updated RUU Utility.

udk, can you do the hardspl for rhodium or is Olipof going to give us a surprise for both the topaz and rhodium?
Keep this thread clean !!!!!!!!!! HSPL will come when rhodium will be in olipro & cmonex hands.
If there is anything I can do to assist with the SPL let me know. I have a Rhodium ready and willing.
Wow, that was fast
Anyway, getting my Rhodium in a few weeks, maybe this will come in handy..

Hi, thinks for your kind firstly.
And would anyone of you will tell me where to find the step by step tutorial for how to use this tool to change the splash only?
Or just tell me how to prepare the NBH file only to update splash?
Thanks in advance.

Just thought I'd move to a more appropriate thread.
I'm afraid I've made no further progress and, since going back to work, have had little time to experiment.
The status is still that:
1. The Breeze and Cavalier are very similar at the hardware and software layers.
2. It IS possible to unpack the Cavalier ROM and re-flash to the Breeze using Hermes tools and the SSPL in this forum.
3. The real problem apears to be re-packing the XIP files within the ROM to fit the Breeze Memory map.
I haven't got 3 to work

Hi, there... as you maybe read in some other threads i sell my htc touch and get back to mteor...
so also i want to have a wm6 rom on my mteor...
i have done some testing but nothing coming to life...
also the reflashing to take a 2nd shot is very complicated because i have everytime to reflash the orig. 1,34er rom... sspl flashing didn't work for me...
also i read some of the posts about xip remapping... i have get into the xip today in the morning...
but i don't know how to remap the files!? but i hopefully have today (also @work) sometime to do some research...
as i read in the Blue Angles WM6 Developement Thread, it never has been so far that a wm6 rom from another device is working on the to ported device...
but... the cavalier hw is just looking very identically with breezes one...
only thing i found... the samsung processor, since it is the same "partnr." the clock speed is @400mhz, as i read on some pages about the cavalier?!

Hi, there...
i have just extraced the xip parts from the rom now...
so now there a 2 problems...
when using dumpromx to extract i come to the files
when i using xipport i only get some files (eg. boot.rgu) and only folders of the modules (eg. coredll.dll)
with xipport extraction it is possible to reconvert to a xip.bin file... (i didn't tested it then to recopy the xip in the rom... )
while using dumpromx i haven't found any solution to recreate the xip.bin file... there comes always an error when using the option to "resave" the files...
good news! i hope that i can test WM6 for MTeoR in near future
p.s. sorry, i can't help you with xip because i didn't know about it

Here is How to Dump a ROM
(courtesy pof)
Make sure to upload both Part01.raw (XIP) and Part02.raw (IMGFS) !!
Put it on XDA FTP, Rapidshare or whereever.
It would be nice to have complete dumps from pre-production and normal models.
We can then reconstruct both ROMs as described here.
I uploaded production ROM on ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Smartphone/Wings/ROM (Production model)/
I am not sure if this matters, but i didn't install HardSPL on my device, i just backed up SPL and dumped ROM.

That works. Thanks!
I've got a pre-prod dump done by 'motin' some months ago.
Unfortunately he only dumped Part02.raw and Part01.raw is missing
Although from Part02.raw we can see which files are in it, it's not enough to reconstruct a ROM from the dump. So it's time for some other pre-prod owners to dump their ROM !
Furthermore I spoke with JugglerLKR, he is the genius behind the Kaiser ROM kitchen. He says that an official HTC base ROM for Wings is absolutely necessary to reconstruct a ROM from a dump. Of course it's just a matter of time before one appears, but if one of you stumbles over one please let us know.

HTC Rom tool is working perfectly to convert the .nb files to .nbh with model WING**** .
The problem is here to make .nb files from the .raw's we dumped.
The Kaiser Kitchen can do it, but it also needs a "RUU_signed.nbh" file, next to the .raw's.
This "RUU_signed.nbh" file must be extracted from an official *WINGS* ROM update from HTC (using winRAR).

So this is dead until HTC releases an update?? That sucks.
not necessarily if we can determine the differences between pre-prod and prod
but for that we need a complete pre-prod dump first ...
I sent mails, private messages, icq messages to rafuz and some other guy here that have preproduction model, and also to one from MoDaCo forum, to dump that ROM but no respond yet.
It looks like we are so close, but not enough.

Good luck on porting it to the Wings. It's not particularly difficultbut sometimes things don't work and you just can't locate the problem. + it takes a looot of time

Finaly getting somewere here now.. But a big puzzle sorting out all the files..
Made some attemptes flashing the 6.1 version over. But the unit does not boot like it should..
Anyway, moving in the right direction at least
you have to at least replace coredll.dll in the xip and you can get rid of hd.dll, osaxst0.dll and initflashfiles.dat
Also don't forget to replace \.VM in \SYS with .VM from an original s730 rom.
If you have questions PM me, give a quick smmary of all you have done me and I'll try to help you.

I don't have a rhodium myself but recently was contacted by two close friends that are familier with my works in kaiser, hermes, and now fuze.
Basically Long story short, They asked if it was possible for me to port my kitchen over to Rhodium.. Too which i have!!
It has taken hours and is now complete!!
It contains, SYS,XIP,and OEM from latest Rhodium. But in toolset folder you will find oemxip if you feel like upgrading to the latest 6.5
also on the next post i plan on detailing how i did this manually
trust me it was painstaking and needs to be documented.
Peace,
Josh

Rom Basics "well sorta"
To dump a OEM rom:
1: Download the oem rom.
2 Extract the ruu.nbh out of the .exe file it comes in using 7zip
3: open nbhutil.exe and extract the os.nb out of the ruu.nbh
4 drag the os.nb onto DumpTools\imgfs tools\dump_800.bat
5 drag new imgfs folder onto DumpTools\Packagebuilder.exe "this will create your basic file structure"
6 Drag os.nb.payload onto the DumpTools\Dump xip\dumpxip.bat "this will dump xip section of the rom"
7 in xip folder now drag each dsm file onto the DumpTools\Packagebuilder.exe "this will create your new xip folder structure"
8 to create your ext packages you will need to go through the newly dumped oem folder and pick packages you want and drag then onto the DumpTools\EXT_PAckages_rebuilder.exe "evirus Thanks"

How to make kitchen compatible for 6.5:
1 edit build_rom.bat
2 on this link : set OLDKERNEL=1
3 remove the 1 so it looks like this: set OLDKERNEL=
now you can use real nk.exe for 6.5
4 in toolset2 folder you will find oemxipkernal for 6.5 you will need to copy this into your rom\xip folder "delete the one in there currently" NOW you can **** a decent 6.5 rom

Anytime man... just happy to contribute to the scene nice to see you
Thx for the kitchen. I tried to cook a 23409 ROM, but after flashing the TP2 stops at bootscreen (the one with all the red version information)
I replaced the 409 and the OEM part with the ones from the 0407-Lang-File from here and the OEM from a dump of my german TP2.
I followed your instructions at the 2nd post here.
Does anyone have any ideas what goes wrong?
PS: maybe let the kitchen creating a logfile could be a good idea

stopped at splash screen could be missing wincles module.. or corrupt xip.. did you replace xip for that also...
for 6.5 replace oemxip in rom folder with the one in toolset2 folder then use the new msxipkernal from dag
Good idea on the log file.. i'll look into that.
edit: I'm going to create a separate 6.5 kitchen for you guys and i'll put it on post 1 for you this evening.
congrats on porting our kitchen to rhodium i know this was alot of work now i just need to buy a rhodium so i can use it lol.

you are amazing..
i waiting for the release...
Ok, got it working with your oemxipkernel. My own didn't work, don't know why. Now it boots, but with the start of every exe-file which does not com from MS or HTC i get a question if i really want to start it. My sdkcerts and policies from xperia seems to don't work. Will wait now for your 6.5-kitchen

For those who are cooking under Windows 7:
If you get errors like "...msvcr71.dll is missing..." during cooking process, place the attached file into the following kitchen folders:
