Hi folks,
Can someone please tell me what an HTC S900 is? Is it a diamond clone, or is the real deal? If its real, does anyone know if the specs are the same? Google is giving very conflicting info...
Check this link too. Seems to be an HTC original, but its dual sim and has a memory card slot, but dual band. Any comments?

thats a fake.
cheap Chinese copy. Specs will not be available anywhere, it wont be running Windows Mobile or do anything that the Diamond does.
Haha, i saw someone using one of those on the train.
Gotcha, thanks.
Look at the back. First it says it is DIAM100 (GSM diamond), then it's S900 and it has a SD card slot. Seems they can't decide whether they fake Diamond or a HTC device in general
Here's an S900:http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1604
Definately not the same though.

I bought a brand new looking htc diamond today and i think i screwed up big time. I am with T-mobile and when i got home i discovered gthat my diamond does not have place for a sim card. It says sprint on top of it, does that mean its not a comatible phone to T-mobile or is there a some sort of workaround? Would i be able to use it somehow on metropcs? Any help would be appreciated, hate tho think i just wasted the money on the phone that i will not abe able to use((
Not familiar with T-Mobile put it does sound like you purchase a CDMA Device which doesn't use the GSM (sim card) technology. There is no way around this other then reselling it and picking up the right device.
Could you post a photograph or a link to the brand of the phone? Is it HTC? Is a Diamond? Sure? It sounds a bit strange...
I never haven't seen a CDMA device so...
Where did you buy it from?
How hard is this?
He bought the Sprint CDMA HTC Diamond. It won't work on T-Mobile, so just resell it and purchase a GSM one.
yes your phone is not gsm
send it back or sell it on
I just got an HTC Touch Diamond a couple days ago, but browsing this forum, I'm not sure where to start.
First of all, I live in Winnipeg, Canada, and even on the HTC Website it only shows Telus, Bell, and Rogers as selling HTC products in Canada. I've got MTS. I wouldn't be worried (it's probably a Bell phone) but I go into this forum and there's people going 'Oh it's a CDMA only thing!' and I don't know if my phone is CDMA or not, or if it's even a Diamond 2 or a Diamond 1... anyone know how I'd find out?
Thanks.
if it don't have a sim slot it would be cdma
well I looked everywhere, no SIM card slot as far as I see, so I guess it's CDMA. Thanks.

in which case be careful that you only flash CDMA ROM's on your Diamond.
Check the model # on the label under the Battery. It should be just above the white portion of the label. {i.e. HTC P3700 DIAM100 ... <this is mine}. Then clicke the "Device Database" link at the top of this page. enter your model # in the search area of PDADB {top left}. This will tell you all you need to know about your phone.
Also: GSM phones use IMEI #'s & CDMA Use ESNs for identification. {NEVER give these #s out}

I read that many dual sim card units wont work with H3G sim cards.
Is that correct?
H3G Dual sim
I was unable to get the 20th Genration(sic) dual to work with mine.
Has anyone managed to get a dual sim working with this (also using 3g)??
I really want to get a dual sim adapter for my HTC HD2!

No... it doesn't work with 2 3G sim cards.

Really pleased with it

Another question...
PDAdb.net reports that the HTC model 801n has a selectable secondary radio see attached image from their spec sheet.
Does anyone know how this would be selected, if it is not enabled initially?
I bought the phone from the UK and I am just hoping hoping hoping that the PDAbd spec is correct and that I can get the LTE running.
I am not sure what front end that One has - I think the RF360 is too new.. isn't it? Because if that is installed, it can run any network..... Nice job Qualcomm....
Many thanks,
Nick

The specs on the screenshot is wrong. However HTC One is using a modem similar to the Xperia Z. However other frequency bands are locked out & through software or should I say the baseband so it's very hard to make it into a world phone. Possible but if HTC decides to create a baseband for it.

You could look into this one http://www.magic-sim.com/product/id...MICRO_SIM_DUAL_SIM_ADAPTER_for_HTC_ONE_S.html it says for the HTC One S but im sure it'll work, contact them first to make sure.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
That's so cool. It's a bit clunky, but a very clever solution. Now if only the phone's radio could be connected to two mobile networks at once. . .
can you receive calls to both sim cards ???
Buy the Chinese model HTC One. It has dual simple card slots built in and sd card storage. But you lose the unibody construction
