My idea was simply to make an .exe file i could have on my storagecard, so when i had flashed to another new WEE app, i could execute the app and the keyboard was norwegian again. And here is the result.
This is an app that changes the layout of your keyboard and softresets the phone.

And added a reg key that defines that its a HTC keyboard not a Fuze..

The TastNor.exe as seen on the picture is an app just for changing the language to norwegian without any gui. Thats allso updated with the latest reg key.

Hi there m8. Even with your program it still does not help me. If you open upp my Phne and start using my Hardware keyboard with the nrg rom it wont make Ö when i do FN + O....
I just get a normal o.
So im not doing anything wrong and what it seems is that everyone does not understand that this is not the REGISTRY that is the problem. Or if the keyboard is set to fuzz or HTC keyboard.
It seems as if the Swedish files are not in Nrgs rom so ÅÄÖ wont show no matter what registry fixes you do.
So i think that what is needed is the Swedish files in order for this to work. NOT any registry fixes... Do you understand my problem now?
Cause i used your program. I have tried about 5 diffrent regfiles witch realy does about the same thing
and as i see your program is allso just a reg changer that changes the curlang 2 = 41d
Witch beliave me or not its set 2 and i still only get a o when typing FN + O witch should then become a Ö
This might be a stupid proposition and i might have to check this out for myself (but not before i manage to take a backup of my phone), but could this have anything to do with different ROMs using different character sets? Ascii, UTF-32, UTF-16 or different ISO standards?
For example ISO-Nordic is typical for Scandinavia and UTF-16 for some asian languages?
And again, I am just putting this in the "air", I am quite new to the Raphael and how it works...
Edit: when I think of it, there is a "keyboard mapping" folder in the registry, this might need some tweaking as well?

I tested this now. And it appears that danish and norwegian keyboards uses the same layout. If I choose danish, nothing happens,. But if I choose Norwegian it works like a charm with my danish Touch Pro.
So maybe there should just be one Norwegian/Danish button to avoid confusion.
Earlier today i flashed the the NRGZ28 latest 1.0 series. the 32409 and tryed out my TastNOR which ONLY changes the keyboard to Norwegian. That did work though the keyboard layout was for Fuze.

I made a version 0.2 thats changes the key to a "Norwegian/Danish".
I allso included a Reg Key of the HTC keyboard for us Scandinavians
Now I just use my Scandinavian KB or TastNor when I have flashed

Finnish TouchPro user here, the Finnish -option in the program doesn't work, but after selecting Danish, everything works ok. I guess we all Scandinavians have the same layout so everyone just select Danish if your specific language doesn't work,
Works great! Flashed Solace 3.1 onto my 2007 TyTN II Kaiser and ran this tool to switch the HW keyboard to Danish. Works without a hitch on that! Thanks.
I've used this fix after flashing a new rom, and I have a small problem. On the retail rom SHIFT+"1" would result in a "!", but now I just get a "1".
FN+"1" still gives me "!", but it's awkward to use.
Is this a flaw in the et9 kmap file, or is it the keyboard driver in the rom?

I can confirm this is not a workable solution for us native swedes. Keyboard mapping is still ****ed up.
So, how do I run an exe on the phone? It only wants to run cabs, it seems...

there are some languages that won't work
a few lines are missing in your reg file
spd.Lqwerty.greek and spd.Pqwerty.polish
on the IME\KDBFiles you cannot add spd. files
here is my reg file where i solved this and removed the arabic and russian because on my WWE Diamond i don't have these 2 language files in rom.
There are 14 working languages.
Copy regfile to diamond (if installed resco registery editor) just tap on it

after setting other language, the default explorer homepage will not load, even you edit the bookmark point it to the 409.html, but you can still use it

No. This only changes the input language for the dictionaries. Although manilla.exe is multilingual, I do not think the rest of the OS is.

You need to CID unlock. You can use the automated tool I made. Check this forum to find it.
btw, Hikey, nice job on the rom port! One question, how did you edit the build to include Hikey.NET v7.1? I've always wondered how to do that.
Everything is working now, except input which mis-match the keypad. Any solutions for this?

The input method is named "PlumSIP", it is for chinese user only.
if you are english user, you should install et9 for shadow.
Thanks, it works, but one problem thos, it seens dopod c750 has different keypad layout to shadow, which make it so hard to input text.

I packed it.
Really like this ROM. I think the only issue is on the input method. If there is a working t9 english solution, and can switch between Chinese, ABC, T9, number, then the ROM is going to be perfect.

Anyway to view in English?? I'm still VERY new to all this! I work for Sprint but I have the Shaddow and I very badly want WM6.1 on my phone, but being this is the first time I've ever tried to install anything on my phone I want to do it right. I appreciate ur patience in this.
The camera works fine. MMS I do not use and have never tried. But regular text message works fine too. And it can display English.
Regarding input method, I found a trick, the Rom actually already have Pinyin, Bihua, T9English, number and chars input.
The problem preventing it was that the * key will lock the phone instead of switching input method.
But if you install the language pack below, the *key will be reassigned to allow switching input method. (The language pack itself will NOT become the selection, only the key becomes switching the original input method.

I fixed the OKT display problem...by setting regional settings to Canadian English.
Is it possible to have the user interface in English but the spelling control in Danish for example? That way I could use the new firmwares cooked but still use the Danish spelling control.

try a hard reset.
I have uploaded updated versions of all languages with BT installed, higher pagepool and 3g switch in CommManager
i really like this rom but there is one thing that bothers me.
i dont like java implementation JBlend
its slow, its not fullscreen and u cannot start the installed programms directly. first start jblend then chose the programm. the normal implementation of java in window mobile provides an icon for every java program in the normal program list.
is there a way for me to get the old java implemetation back?

tried ure updated version with bt installed. now i cannot access the comm manager at all. when i try to open it via manila config tab an error message appears and in the start menu it isnt listed anymore.

Ok Found a fix...
if you go into "HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager", create a folder called "7" and copy the reg keys from any of the other numbered folders, say from "5" into "7", the error message goes away.

So there is another registry setting that is referencing a folder "7" inside "HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager" somewhere in the mix...
no bluetooth in this rom
how about memory usage after restart ? after some time ?
and if press end call button - manila or tochflo disappears for a second ( empty screen) like i had in other Touch-it roms? it's a little bug , but annoying =)

Very good ROM But i think i have found a bug:
I can't access any websites in IE, i can connect to GPRS but no "connection". The ActiveSync logo is still visible after disconnecting from the cradle, but with an X under the 2 arrows, is this why the GPRS don't work properly?
Also, a little noob-question? What does the different RAMDISK-sizes mean?

sorry for the noob inquiry. i've had a himalaya for under a week and its my first time to upgrade from windows 2003 to this rom. it doesn't have a letter recognizer in messaging. tried searching but i can't seem to find the cab. i tried downloading and installing fingerkeyboard v2 for vga but it messed up the screen alignment on my pda. i had to switch to ather 6.1 to fix the problem. how do i get and install letter recognizer or a big touch keyboard or keypad to this rom?

I think it is deleted from 6.5.x builds. 6.5 21884 have it.
I think it is not needed because you could type faster on keyboard.
You can install ezInput as default input method, it works well here.
If you can't find correct version I could upload one which works.

The one I have is a Qtek 2020, and I managed to install several other roms in it.
This one I tried and it won't go past the qtek splash screen.
I put it in bootloader and the update was successful, when I reset it, nothing...

When you get into bootloader, there should be an info about version, could you tell me?

Instructions
1. Download the 2 files.
2. Install Clicker.apk using your File Manager
3. Install HTC_IME.apk
4. Go to "Settings" - "Language and Keyboard" - Activate "Touch Input" - Click "Touch Input" bellow to set your settings
5. Open Message Application.
6. Longpress in the input. and select "Touch Input" instead of Android Keyboard
7. Accept the notice!
8. Enjoy
Tutorial: How to set your language
Supported Languages: English, Greek, ... (Please check and confirm if your language is working and reply to add it in this list)
1. Go To "Settings" - "Language and Keyboard"
2. Click "Select Language" and choose your language from the list
3. Go to your SMS Application and click to write.
4. If you cannot see a language selection in the keyboard just rotate the phone.
5. In the QWERTY Keyboard select your language
6. Your can now write in your language using the T9 Keyboard aswell.
7. Post here confirming that it's working for your language.

Are you sure that these languages don't included?
Htc ime include menu languages and the others than english selected automatic with the device's locale. So if you have for e.g german locale, then you should have english and german languages available. Just activate the keyboard in landscape mode and the settings icon sould replaced with the language selection(this happens for me in every rom that I've used)

I would like that too, and i think it's posible since there is serbian language support on nFinityGB ROM

is it possible to add serbian dictionary from android`s keyboard or latin ime, i`m not sure which one is it?
and in both normal and landscape mode i don`t get to choose language at all, don`t know what`s wrong...

Ok italian for me, but have download "more locate 2" form market and select italian, after i don't make no change in htc ime and it is italian.

Edit: It seems to be working, I reinstalled and didden't choose language.

After installation it is possible to switch between gingerbread and HTC IME keyboard? Or will GB-keyboard no more be usable?
what about HTC dialer? it was much faster then the one on froyo or gingerbread!
can it be ported?
