I would like to wonder how to adjust the SMS max. validity period on network/expiry time on network from few hours to the maximum allowed by my mobile provider instead of the WinMo 6.1 default value
I can't find any option anywhere for SMS expiry, yet i found one for MMS "which has dedicated program also made by HTC"
using Sony ericsson Xperia X1 and WinMo 6.1
Could i do that through WinMo registry? any tweak program would do the job?
Kindly advise.
Thank you
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated

Hi everyone. Does anyone know whether it would be possibe to have the WM6 smart dialing on a WM5 rom. My hermes running LVSW WM6 defaults to using the WM6 smart dialing, however if you want to enable the video call options then it seems to use the WM5 dailing screen with the old smart dial.
I was thinking, if the WM5 dailing works with WM6, then maybe the default WM6 one would work in WM5 with a bit of fiddling.
The reason i want this is because when i call people i type the name with the smart dial jobby and there they all are. Problem is though that if you then scroll to the one you want and click the wheel it does not give you the option of what number you want to call them on, eg mobile or home. It just dials the last one you used for that person.
In WM6 when you scroll and select it then brings up the contact details so you can choose which no you want to dial.
Few, that took some explaining.
Thanks for your help guys and gals.

anyone got any ideas ?
just trying to revive this and see if anyone can help
i think it is impossible
Hi Folks
I wonder if anyone knows how to do this? I've had a good look around, but cant find how to do it.
I've recently had my TYTN II replaced by Orange, my second one was delivered with a different ROM and radio to my first-its actually pretty good, i might not flash it for a bit!
The one thing its missing though is the threaded SMS which is in many (all?) of the WM6.1 ROMS (when they're grouped by contact/conversation).
Does anyone know if this can be added somehow?
one more quick one:
Ive installed the latest version of Opera Mobile-its an awesome browser. i cant seem to set it as my TYTN II's default browser though-anyone know how I could do this too please?
Thanks a lot in advance,
'tunes
Yes, it's possible. There are many progams that do this like Vito.
Thanks, but does anyone know if there's a way to update the messaging app to match whats in the 6.1 ROMs, rather than replacing it?
I used the threaded sms messaging from the palm systems. worked good.
Windows Mobile 6.0 does not natively support threaded SMS. Unless you are willing to upgrade to 6.1, you will need to install a 3rd party app like those already listed.
Thanks a lot folks.
Any thoughts on setting Opera mobile as my default browser?
I'm sure there's just gonna be a reg key that'll need changing, but I cant track it down.
Hey Guys,
I need a SMS and Call time counter that should reset on a certain day in the month. When I was using the Artemis, I always used Batterystatus of Chi-Tai.
Installing of this software is not possible on Diamond since it has an another processor.
Does any of you guys know what software I can use to see my monthly calls?
Kind Regards,
SuperTeke from Amsterdam
I'm using BatteyStatus of Chi_Tai on SecondToday with my Diamond, It's working fine...
I havent tryed the sms/call thing, but I think It's working..
Just do a search of SecondToday...
Hmmm... first of al thanks for your reaction....but Batterystatus doesn´t work on my device....What version do you use?
Secondtoday is for other purposes as far as I can find information about.
I don´t need an alternative for Todayscreen but an alternative way to count my outgoing calls and sms.

im just trying to figure something oout but in need some help from you guys here.
what writes this key? "HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation"
my windows mobile knowledge is quite low so i have absolutly no clue where to start.
is some sort of driver or app?
is it WM itself by checkign some predefined HW address??
i could use some help here
HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\HideOrientationUI usage
Hy achmed20
Im new in this site but will answear your question... also if it is a little bit late
I'm using an HTC HD2 with WM 6.5:
If you set the key HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\HideOrientationUI from default 1 to 0, this happens:
Go to Setings --> Menue --> More --> System --> Screen
There will be a Tab, where you can set the Screen for Landscape or Portrait
Take care about this settings! On my HTC HD2 Manila (also called TouchFlo3D or Sense) can't be shown at Landscape!
I hope I could help you =)

There are SMS fixes depending on what device your ROM base is from.
Do you know if your ROM is LEO or Topaz based?
