Couple of notes: I use Calibri font exclusively, so please install by copy & pasting Calibri and Calibri Bold under \windows\font. Also, the main theme goes in \Program Files\Lakeridge\
Also, I included the Icon templates in PSD format for the Home Page Main Apps and the regular icons. If you create some icons, please share them in this thread so others can use them as well, thanks!!
HOME PAGE
The upper left clusters are as follow:
Left vertical bar is battery: Yellow is regular, green is charging
Right vertical orange bar is reception
B square is for Bluetooth: Blue is on. Tapping it toggles it on/off
W square is for Wifi: Green is on. Tapping it toggles it on/off
O square is for online: Orange is on
V square for volume: Yellow is on, red is vibrate, grey is mute. Tapping it brings up volume control
Upper right clock:
Tapping it opens up task manager. May change it to something else (besides clock). What app is the HTC Task manager?
Main app boxes:
Music = Pocket Player
Navi = iGO8
AltTab = TaskFacade
Lock = S2U2
Next appointment:
Tapping it opens up Agenda One, which you can change to your own organizer
Appts Today:
Tapping it upen the agenda page, as seen Post #2
Message Center:
SMS, Email, Missed Calls, Pending Notifications
When the boxes are grey, no notifications
When the boxes are orange, there are notifications
Bottom Text Menus:
Menu opens up WM5NewMenu
Software opens up software dock
System opens up system dock
Contacts opens up contacts dock
Weather Box:
Shows current conditions and temperature, which can be tapped to update weather
Current city can by tapped to bring up visiting city and vice versa
Tapping on the weather pic itself opens up the Full Weather dock
SOFTWARE PAGE
Pretty self-explanatory, although the grid uses Object Grid, so to add, you must be in Author Mode. This is the only way to add those nice custom icons.
Tapping Software again brings up Resco Explorer
The Menu button on the far left is replaced by Home button, which closes the dock
SYSTEM PAGE
The four notification boxes mimic the little squares on the upper left side of the Home menu.
The grid uses Object Grid, so to add, you must be in Author Mode. This is the only way to add those nice custom icons.
Tapping System again brings up control panel
The Menu button on the far left is replaced by Home button, which closes the dock
IMPORTANT! Download the weather icons here: http://rapidshare.com/files/217925270/Concept_Moderne_Weather_Icons.zip
Also, I have found a small error on the weather page. Tomorrow's Forecast is not set right and is actually only reading off Today's Forecast.
Open the full weather page by clicking on the weather pic at the bottom of the Home Page.
Go to Author Mode and hold n' tap Tomorrow's Forecast text. The "Text to display" should read %MultiForecast1%. If yours is not, change it to that. Now your Tomorrow Forecast is going to show tomorrow's forecast.

CONTACTS PAGE
Pretty self-explanatory, although the grid uses Object Grid, so to add, you must be in Author Mode. This is the only way to add those nice custom icons.
Tapping Software again brings up Resco Contact Manager
The Menu button on the far left is replaced by Home button, which closes the dock
AGENDA PAGE
Tap on HOME or on the clock on the left hand side to go back to the HOME PAGE
I use Pocket Breeze Today plugin here, but you can substitute it with WAD's internal agenda
Bottom four buttons:
New Appt: Creates a new appointment via Agenda One
New Task: Creates a new task via Agenda One
New Note: Opens up Window's Note app
Agenda: Opens up Agenda One
WEATHER PAGE
Tap on the big weather pic to close Weather Dock
Tap on the current temperature or the "updated...." to update weather
Tap on the left or right arrow on either side of the City to switch between Home and Visiting City

Reserved for future use

megabeautiful.

simply perfect.

Sorry, ive gotta dissagree with everyone else here. Its beautiful sure.. but isnt it a bit cluttered? and also it looks like its a tad unconventional and might be difficult to use. But still a very great looking UI

I really like the layout, but I do think you could incorporate more of a color theme to this to glue everything together a bit better. Another item to note is the use of (or lack of) docks.. The homepage has a lot going on which could be solved with a top down swipe to remove some clutter. Music integration with song information would be nice as well.

Can you go more in details in what you are mentioning? I believe I do have a color theme going: white, light grey, dark grey, and orange. Do you see something else otherwise or lacking?
As for the docks, the Software, System, and Contacts button on the bottom open up their own perspective docks. The Agenda and Weather has their own docks. What other docks/features do you propose? What do you consider with the top-down swipe?
Music integration is something I will add later. The only thing is that there is no relatively universal music integration for the main apps out there. I use exclusively Pocket Player, in which I can add the fast forward, rewind, play/pause buttons. Other people wants S2P, Nitrogen, Core Player, or WMP. Perhaps, there's an app that can mimic A2P functions?

Ok, can you go further with that? In what ways is it not good? How can it be improved?

excellent theme very different from the usual.
great work
thanks for the effort you have put in.
need some installation instruction though it does not show on my atom as it does on the post.
where do we put the other 2 files.

It does abit annoy me though that you havn't even mentioned where you got the "inspiration" for this theme from. Atleast credit the original creator.

Sorry, I had this thread in the WAD2 forum, where the original Concept WAD for Omnia was pretty well known. I did update my first post to include that thread: http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15005
As you can see, I was inspired by the theme and color palette, but my overall design is very different from the original Concept Omnia version.

Which 2 files are you having problems with? The folder "Concept Moderne" goes under \Program Files\Lakeridge\Wisbar Advance Desktop\Themes
The folder "Concept Moderne Images" goes under \Storage Card\Wisbar Advance Desktop\

I posted my remarks in the WAD2 forum, but to keep the xda community informed, here are my remarks: I am so incredibly impressed with your design work, your graphics and the WisBar software. The software alone has opened a new world. My problem is I don’t understand the WisBar programming technique enough to know how or where to “program” it to have the same outcome and appearance as your design would dictate, and frankly I don’t have the time to teach myself. I am a computer hacker so I know a fair amount, but not the intricacies of a new program like WisBar. Can you find time to describe in slightly more detail, in what directories (or even if you have to make new directories) how to make my phone operate as the YouTube demo I watched. I think your knowledge would be a real gift to the community.

The demo of my original theme (i Think): --> Concept demo by destri
Well, you have made a great variation with your version !

WVGA Version
I know there has been a little talk about it, but does anyone know of a WVGA version of either jamboj0e or destri's theme?
Not that I think I will get time to do it, but if there isn't a WVGA version would either of you mind if I had a go as a homage!

hey, i am so sorry but i thougt i already answered your PM but I guess i missed the send button.
If you still need to use my graphics, I think you are already doing that is ok. If you want the original PSD files then just send me a PM and I will send them to you.
Good luck on the project, I am also willing to help you in any way possible. Skinning and xml coding.

Paul

oh, finally a reply
No thanks, I think we don´t need it any more. Wasn´t too difficult, just the background, the bottom bar and the clock box graphic. I´ll do the rest alone.
Anyway, thanks for your offer, maybe we still need you in terms of coding (ATM, blazingwolf is doing that).

Martin

Thanks for the offer of the psd. Those can come in handy. Also, thanks for the offer of help. It is appreciated.
Looks nice..but if possible put the analog clock which shows the WM7 style
keep it on..nice works
yes!!! finally an updated wm7 theme, im really liking the design of the new setup and the way that you are filling up the space between the main plugin and the bottom bar with more useful features, cuz the last one looked kinda empty with only appointments (im running it rite now)
i have some suggestions and i hope you guys take it to consideration....
1- redesigned contacts page (flash if possible)
2- an option to change the clock to analog or digital so everyine is happy
3- the icons in the launcher panel in the main page stand out from the theme in my opinion, i would like to see more wm7ish icons or an option to change them at your will
4- redisign the programs page (the last one were cluttered with too many icons per page in my opinion)
5- add an internet panel in the center of the main page as well (i have in mind a slightly large globe in the left side and 2x2 icons in the right side so it fits nicely)
6- also a music player just like the internet option that can control s2p, wmp, audio manager (album art in the left side, and the controls on thre right side 2x2 play, pause on top, and next, previous on the bottom)
thats what i can think of, but im loving the fact that you are updating my favorite throttle theme and since im happy with the one im running now, any improvement would be great!!!!
Thanx again

1. I, personally, don't like the flash contacts. To much of a pain. We will talk and see what the outcome is.
2. See my above reply to theme freak.
3. What style is WM7 style for icons? Maybe I haven't seen the proper screen shots yet to determine this?
4. What are you looking for here? 9X9?
5. Hmm, something to think about.
6. Music was mentioned above. I don't think Audio manager is possible with Throttle right now though.

thank you for the reply, flash contacts isnt really important but at least a new design, and i mainly want s2p for the music section so audio manager isnt important.
i found an interesting screenshot that can be used as a tab switcher. heres my idea so please bear with me, have the center icon for the homepage where you have the plugin, appointments, and weather display, name the right softkey (contacts) and have the contacts page and have the left one called (start) or (menu) and have a setup similar to the one in the screenshot where you can use the top icons to choose your page by scrolling them horizontally and have the rest of the page to display the page selected
this can include the music, internet, comm manager, detailed weather, mail, sms, and other pages and it would be more comfortable than trying to squeeze them between the plugin and the bottom bar
i wish i could be a more skilled developer so i could help with the theme but since im not, then all i can do is try to give good ideas
thanx again for the project
ohk very nice.. but.. please change the digital clock to analog one.. like paul's wm7 throttle skin
Tag. Looks good.
thx for your replies. I think we´ll make a few different clocks (analog, digital, diamond, etc) so everyone gets what he wants.
A thing I´dike to discuss is the buttons on the bottom.
Should they be linked to pages or apps ?
Should the orb be linked to the home page or should it be customizable?
regards,
Martin

[THEME][UPD APR 7]BBExtreme 5.3 - RHODIUM Version

5.3 is for rhodium manila only
For other manila versions, check out 4.0 or 3.1 below.
Changes:
Home Tab: Removed call history and no appointments. Voicemail and valid appointments still show. Moved appointment list higher so you can see maximum of 4 now. Moved date and alarm above time, and moved carrier name to center. Clock press now takes you to a 6 tab screen(call history, all people, web search, world clock, alarm, and profiles) instead of the standard world clock view.
Album Tab: Enlarged pictures/videos preview size for easier viewing
Music Tab: Enlarged album view and changed perspective
Internet Tab: Removed the logo/Launch Browser for better viewing since new search bar cut into screen area. Added "launch browser" link that launches whatever your default browser is.
Programs Tab: Changed to 3 icon view and changed All Programs to 4 icon view
Added/New:
Manila Start Menu compatible
updated files for xbmod v1D
Background for all tabs
Removed Title on all tab pages after Home, but left it showing on the subpages.
theme backgrounds for preview when sliding tabs
new theme background for level1 menus

Old Builds for standard Manila TF3D:
BBExtreme 4.0 Remix CAB
BBExtreme 3.1 CAB
If you don't want entire theme, here's a few cabs for parts of it:
If you only want the glass or smoked glass clock image files, cabs are located at end of this post. They only include the images, so you will need to have a working flip clock first. Two cabs are transparent glass, one with white numbers, and the other with black numbers. The other is smoked glass with black numbers.
For HD people tab only, cab located at end of post. May not work with all devices.
Program Launcher icon backgrounds are in two cabs below, one for the clear glass, other is smoked glass.
Wallpaper zip for versions 1 through 3.1 Download HERE
Thanks go out to Chainfire, 6Fg8, Dman666 for the great tools they've made for editing manila files. Thanks to xboxmod and team for the manila package. Thanks to NRGz28 and At0mAng for the roms using it. The icons are from Aqwoah theme I used from Iphone. I just added them to the black buttons I made. The 8 included wallpapers are collected ones from here and there, thanks to whoever made them.

Introducing XWeather
XWeather works with any tf3d theme as an addon using mortscript, secondtoday, and homescreen ++UI. It gives weather details not available with standard tf3d weather and lets you add 4 radar url images. Auto or manual updates with on/off time periods. Option to turn off radar updates.
Its also QVGA compatible if you have a qvga device you want to add it to.
Check post #5 for downloads and install instructions.

Very nice... Keep up the good work and thanks for the share!
looks great showaco. thanks a lot for hooking us all up and just curious to know how u got the call history and calendar off the home screen? also, can just calendar be left on or vice versa? main reason being is call history being a tab negates the need for it on home screen. however, the calendar tab DOESNT replace the one click calendar view we were all getting so used to only bugs and not sure the first one is, but, the date doesnt show up on the calendar tab icon and i dont get the popup menu on the sms tab (new, reply, etc.). other than that, liking the new enhancements, even the new envelope animation
edit** noticed the calendar date isnt bug, its like that in screenshot
greatly done but could you please also upload on rapidshare or megaupload as cant access mediafire here. thanks.
XWeather needs mortscipt, HomeScreen PlusPlus UI, and SecondToday if you want to use it with tf3d. It will work with any theme, not only this one. It could also be added to another homescreen plusplus theme or other UI's as well.
Tabs in screenshots:
1st* Current Weather condiitions
2nd* 5 day forecast conditions
3rd* 4 radar images
4th* weather setup/options
5th* run manual update
Installation for XWeather:
1* weatherEssentials.zip below has cab files for Mortscript, HS++UI, and SecondToday. Download it and install the cab files.
2* Download xweather cab below and install it, soft reset after installation.
3* After reboot, your left soft key will be set to launch SecondToday/Xweather, press it now.
4* When SecondToday starts, choose Homescreen PlusPlus as today plugin.
5* When HS++ loads, it will have battery monitor in top left of screen. Tap and Hold on it to bring up HS++ options. Go to the Advanced menu and choose XWeather as the theme and click OK.
6* You should now have xweather loaded, fourth button is for xweather setup options. Run it now and set all the options, when finished, run update and exit. It uses accuweather, so city code is same as for tf3d, if you don't know your code then use this link: http://hadle.accu-weather.com/widget/hadle/city-find.asp?location=london, just change location name to your city instead of London.
7* Left soft key will take you back to tf3d.

looks great showaco. thanks a lot for hooking us all up and just curious to know how u got the call history and calendar off the home screen? also, can just calendar be left on or vice versa? main reason being is call history being a tab negates the need for it on home screen. however, the calendar tab DOESNT replace the one click calendar view we were all getting so used to only bugs and not sure the first one is, but, the date doesnt show up on the calendar tab icon and i dont get the popup menu on the sms tab (new, reply, etc.). other than that, liking the new enhancements, even the new envelope animation
edit** noticed the calendar date isnt bug, its like that in screenshot

Great theme! But is it possible as mentioned above to have the calendar on the home screen added back in?
this is just what we needed..

On sms tab, you mean the menu like in my screenshot, right? I took shot showing that in case we ran into that issue again I could be sure thats what you were talking about. I'll check on adding the calendar to home tab again, I don't know as I didn't try to save it when I was butchering it.

Maybe, but if you want it now, just download the zip file and extact the clock images from it, its only two files.

I second this. I've downloaded the file, but cannot tell which files belong to the clock. Any help here? I really like that clock. That theme is sick (nice) too, but I'm not too into the black.
By popular request, here's the two image files for transparent clock. FYI, it also has a different alarm icon, so you may want to change it.

iPhone WVGA (800 x 480) skin - screenshots inside !!!

After a month in development on my new Acer neoTouch S200 (a.k.a. Acer F1) and many long hours of tweaking and lost sleep, I present Neo's iPhone skin for WVGA phones! If you like this skin, please post your thoughts! Enjoy!

Other Pages:
Landscape Screen:
Features:
- working clock and calendar
- mms, sms, voicemail, missed calls, and unread emails notification just like the iPhone (see red notifier next to SMS above)
- slide to left, right, up and down pages for four extra pages of programs just like the iPhone (you can add more)
- bottom page features a photo contacts page (you can change to shortcut to programs)
- pressed buttons animation (icon shrinks and expands on press and release)
- custom icons for radio, tasks, contacts, file explorer...
- custom leather wallpaper background, additional wallpaper included
Design:
- attention to detail, for instance, shadows for everything!
- skin is simple, intuitive, and elegant.
- entire skin is icons based, because the brain takes longer to process text.
- a simple grid layout for easy access to everything with just "one" look or click! Keep it simple!
- a leather wallpaper to provide texture and class, color theory used throughout the skin!
- too much or too little space, or used incorrectly can mean the difference between nice versus crap!
- no redundancy, for instance, the clock and date are not shown multiple times in the skin!
- everything is finger-friendly, no stylus ever needed!
Installation:
To install, you'll need to install Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 (WAD), and copy the iPhone OS themes into the WAD's theme folder. This was developed and tested on the Acer neoTouch S200 using WAD 2.2 build 1. Was also tested successfully using the latest WAD 2.5. Any questions, please post here and I'll try my best to answer them.
Download:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C45FAWUF
how to install into the phone?
You'll need to install Wisbar Advance Desktop 2.x first. And then find the Wisbar Advance Desktop folder in your programs folder, keep opening the folders until you find the "themes" folder. Then, just copy the "iPhone OS" and "iPhone OS Landscape" files into this themes folder. Now start/run Wisbar Advance Desktop, click and hold until a menu comes up. In that menu there should be a "settings" menu, and in that settings menu, there should be a "change theme" button. Hit that, and then select "iPhone OS" for the portrait theme, and "iPhone OS Landscape" for the landscape theme, click apply, and then you should be all set.
Some links from the buttons to programs might not work for you since I linked them to the programs I use. To point/link the buttons to programs of your choice, go into "auth mode" in WAD and then click and hold down on the button you wish to change, and a menu should come up, select edit script, and then there should be an option to link/launch a program of your choice when you click on the button. Enjoy!
hey download link is not working
Can anyone re upload the file.
the links dead.
I'm happy to see developement on this phone go go go XDA
Anyone know of a way that I can host the file on this forum, if not I'll fix the link later when I get some time, check back, thanks.
Do as follow :
Click here for the larger one. ^^
the file attachments failed because it is a 4.5 meg file, and the site only allows for a small attachment. Anyway, I've re-upped it to megaupload, they don't seem to have a limit, so the download link to megaupload in the original post should be fine now. If anyone runs into any problems, just let me know. Otherwise, please let me know if you like it and from what country you are located, enjoy!

Sorry, no time for a video review. As for the number of pages, if you open "author mode" in Wisbar Advance Desktop, you can create as many pages as you want. I just so happen to pick four because it is the easiest to get to with only one swipe in any direction.
Nice
Very nice! But changing page is a bit slow and also, when you slide page the dock doesn't stay . I have know how to do that the dock doesn't slide with it, but now it's a long time ago ^^".
PS : For some mirrors, here you got some : http://www.jheberg.com/download-CD8118DADDD1-themes.html. Behind the 2 ads, click "Télécharger" And wait 10 seconds .
For me it seems to crash after selecting iphone for portrait and landscape it crashed. I got my default windows theme back. and the top start bar keeps flashing and draining battery. I have an HTC HD2 wich is as well 480x800.
already tried a soft reset and reinstalling the app..
What can i do?
It looks great though on the picture!
EDIT:
When i choose the landscape mode for portrait i see half the skin.. but portrait for portrait doesn't work.
When i uesed bsb tweaks and i turn my phone over the landscape mode works but the shortcuts dont because i have a dutch rom.

Strange, I have it set up so that it stays when you slide/swipe. This can be easily done by going into "auth mode" and pinning the dock, the locking the 4 icons in the dock and pinning the notifiers. Then you should be all set and it will stay when you move between pages. Don't forget to pin from the background to the front, as in pin dock image first, and the notifiers last because the last thing you pin will be at the top. So if you pin the notifiers first, and then the dock, the dock will be on top blocking/hiding the notifiers and icons etc.
As for the slow slide animation, that's strange, I have no issues, pretty fast on mine. Could be processor related, as I'm running on the 1 gig Snapdragon that came with the Acer neoTouch. I don't really know the speed for other machines, as I had only my phone to develop it on. The only thing I can suggest is to go through your Wisbar settings and make sure to check all appropriate settings, and esp at the last tab about "running on low mem mode"... if you haven't unchecked that, then try unchecking it, restarting and see if that helps.

Hmm, not sure why it is not working for you, the only thing I can suggest, and this would probably be useful for anyone else experiencing any issues, is to try using WisBar Advance Desktop version 2.2 build 1 (the version I developed it on) or try a newer/latest version. I also tested the skin on the newest version, 2.5 or something and that worked fine also. Hopefully that should resolve your problems.
edit, it finally worked! many thanks!!

Nice Theme.
Just installed and started playing with this on an Omnia i8000. Nice job on it. Took me a little while to find my way in and can't work out how to get the Weather Icon working properly. Does it show updated data like the calender and clock or is it just a fixed icon display. Got most of the other bits linked to Samsungs Programs so that's great. Added in a Settings button to get me to the Settings pages easier. WAD is a good idea as well. Never tried it before and it's an interesting program.
Overall this is my favourite so far and I've been playing with lots of other (SPB Mobile Shell 3.5, PointUI, Samsung Widget Plus and of course TF3D).
Thanks for all your hard work.

I'm glad you enjoy it. I've always found Apple's software/concept/design to be superior to anything else, and Windows hardware likewise. So I always felt the iPhone skin on a Windows phone is the best of both worlds. Being a perfectionist with a graphics and technical background, all that really helped. I had to create, altar a lot of my own graphics for this theme in Photoshop.
Anyway to answer your question. I had the weather thing working, but decided to remove it because it was causing some issues once in a while, might not be a problem for you. You can certainly add it back if you wish by adding a weather item when in auth mode in WAD. If you have any questions, just let me know. It is always good to hear that people enjoy the skin, their thoughts and appreciation, so thanks for posting.

[Tablet Theme] VintageVega by newbe5 (Zebwen)

Original post is here (competition post).
I have also posted this in the Vega section, but as a lot of tablets have the exact same screen size (1024x600) and in some cases people are running very similar ROMs, this should work pretty well on other devices too (not tested though!), and in case any tweaking is needed, the PST files I used to create all of this are at the end of the post.. I have drawn heavily in the past from the G-Tab and Toshiba Folio 100 forums for things to use on my Vega, for which I thank you all! So this is hopefully my way of giving a little back
I'm going to keep this as short as possible otherwise it's going to swiftly turn into a wall of text, but here is a brief outline of that I was going for
I wanted a completely "unique" look for my Vega. I've tried basically every launcher/home screen available, and none of them felt right. Honeycomb is in the wild, but until that makes it's way to the Vega in a fast and stable form I wanted something that I enjoyed using day-to-day. So, here is VintageVega:

This is an original pack created by me, containing 28 "Objects" and 3 Wallpapers (with a shelf to place some of the objects on) for now. I'm sure that I will add more later. Further down this post you will also find ALL of the PSD files I used to create all of the objects and wallpapers. So if you have Photoshop or GIMP you can edit these yourself to your own liking. You will be able to achieve this entire set up using entirely free applications available on the Android Market, and you will need NO knowledge of advanced tools (such as ADB from the Android SDK). this can all be done directly from your Vega.
To set up VintageVega, you will need the following apps:
ADW.Launcher (I am using ADWLauncher EX but normal ADW should be fine.
Set up your launcher Auto-Stretch icons, and set the grid to 6 Columns and 6 Rows (columns is flexible, but you will probably have to keep the rows at 6 for the shelf). Also I would fix the launcher orientation ot Landscape (VintageVega ONLY works in landscape mode!).
A nice clock widget! I use (and paid for) ShotClocks but you could easily use the free Big Ben Clock or many alternatives on the Market.
SiMi Folder Widget for creating lovely categorized folders on the desktop.
Desktop VisualizeR to place all of the objects in onto your screen
Here are some images of how I have set up my Vega using the VintageVega pack:
This is an EXAMPLE, you can set up VintageVega in any way you like!
Home screen:
Lightswitch on the right opens the app drawer (accross all screens).
clock is a ShotClocks widget.
Portrait on the left (of me and my daughter ) opens the Gallery app.
Cash Register under the portrait opens the Android Market.
Globe opens the browser (Miren Browser for me).
Calendar under the clock opens the Calendar App.
Scrapbook (with stamps) opens the Social Networking SiMi Folder widget (more on that later).
Toolbox opens the Settings menu.
Stack of letters on the shelf opens the Email app.
Office Screen:
The World Map opens Google Maps Application.
Books along the shelf opens Aldiko (but could easily open Kindle App or a SiMi Folder widget with multiple choices).
Newspaper rack opens news reader app (Pulse in my case).
Phone opens Skype.
Entertainment Screen:
Film Projector screen opens SiMi Folder containing BBC iPlayer and YouTube apps.
The 3 portraits along the top open: Angry Birds - Seasons | Angry Birds | Dungeon Defenders (The PST to create your own framed image is linked in the PST pack at the bottom of this post).
The Radio on the bottom right opens the Music App (but again, this could open another SiMi Folder).
The Games along the bottom left open a SiMi folder containing a list of my games, here is an example of how a SiMi Folder set up in this way looks:
Please note, ALL screen shots above have been lowered in quality to make them smaller files, the images are actually MUCH higher resolution than this.
To set up a SiMi Folder Widget:
Open the app Drawer and select SiMi Folder.
Select "Add Folder".
Choose a folder name, and set the folder type to "Apps", then click Save.
Select your newly created folder, and tap on "Applications" on the right.
Add all of your desired applications to the folder.
Click Save, and then exit.
All done!
To add an object to your home screen:
Copy all of the objects images in a folder to your memory card.
Long-press on a blank area of the screen and choose "Widgets" to add a widget.
Select one of the "Desktop VisualizeR" (from now on I will refer to this as DTV) sized widgets (selecting 4x4 gives the best image quality, then you can re-size the widget to the correct size afterwards.
Tap on the newly created DTV widget to open the DTV menu and start configuring your object.
For Icon, select one of the VintageVega Object images from the gallery (or whatever app you chose).
For Action, you can either select "Launch Application" to select a single application, or "Other" to choose a SiMi Folder that you have already set up.
Once you have selected an action, clear the Label field so it is blank.
Change the "Touch Effect" from Orange to "None".
Click OK!
That's it! It seems like a long process, but once you are used to it, you will be adding and moving objects to your hearts desire
Incase that's too hard to follow, here's a quick video that should clear things up
And so, without ANY further waffling... Here are the files
Download the VintageVega Object Pack.
Download the VintageVega Wallpaper Pack.
PST files for those that wish to create their own framed images (or those who are just curious).
Wallpaper PST (Caution, 30mb File!) - High resolution PST file (with shelf) for you to create your own VintageVega wallpapers.
Objects PST - Source files for ALL of the objects included in VintageVega (incase you want to modify any of them yourself). NOTE: The social Icons pack included here was not created by me, it was created by Dawghouse and are free to use.
PLEASE do not repost these as your own work, but feel free to modify and enjoy this as you wish. Please let me know of any problems! And soon I will hopefully post some YouTube vids of this in action and some easy to follow tutorials on YouTube (for those of you who can't follow the written instructions ).
One last note: I specifically designed the wallpaper/shelf on VintageVega to match up with standard Icon sets, such as iDroid so you can actually have those icons sat on the shelf if you wish, and it doesn't look bad to boot
Example:
So if you find that there are objects missing from the pack that you would like, you can always use an icon instead
Add icons in the same way as normal with DTV.
Enjoy!

Hi there! I've made a custom-sized wallpaper for phone devices for you that might work a little better (I based it on the SGS screen dimensions).
I pretty much guessed at the shelf location, so you will have to play with ADW row numbering to get it to fit. If the shelf needs adjusting just let me know (best way would be to post a screenshot) so I can see how much it is out by and fix it!
Zeb
A completely random Twitter Search resulted in me finding this page with a big shoutout for VintageVega! Also, this twitter search show's it had been re-tweeted a whole bunch of times without me even knowing :/
Ah well, nice to see that it's getting out there!

This is brilliant, it deserves much more attention! I don't have a tablet, but if I did I'd definitely try it out! It'll be great to see if more like this come out, it'll reinvent the home screen's capabilities!
Wow, great theme Zebwen, and good job on the instructions. Couldn't have been simpler. I was gonna ask if you had an icon for AB Rio, but it took all of 5 minutes to create one from your icon pack. Now I'm trying to figure a way to include another set of shelves to place objects(icons) on. I know it's possible to edit the books icon, but I'm thinking maybe editing the wallpaper to include a 2nd 1/2 screen shelf. This way I can place icons directly on top of the shelf. With the edited books icon, you can only get so close to an adjacent icon.
Again, great job!.
Tony
In case anyone's interested. An AB Rio icon and an updated AB Seasons icon.

BRILLIANT! These are the first custom Objects I have seen since I released the pack, thanks a lot for doing these! It't nice to see that people are enjoying VintageVega BTW your going to want to save these as PNG24 files to preserve the transparency

Here's where I am so far. Still tweaking..
The "test" screen is just used for tweaking.
For some reason the rom I'm on (GHarmony GB) is not allowing for screenshots (Screenshot ER or DDMS) so I just took a couple pics with my Dx. so the quality kinda sucks.

Gtablet, running this rom ---> G-Harmony Gingerbread 2.3.3
Good! Glad to see it is working well on other tablets too. Hopefully starting work on a new theme soon, similar but with a more modern style
For some reason I'm having problems changing wallpapers. When I use the normal method (long press blank area, wallpapers, gallery, select pic) ES freezes up. No biggie, I can still just open a pic in ES, choose "set wallpaper" and chose the wallpaper.
For now, I'm trying to find a good icon for ES (file cabinet, file folder, etc.)
I actually prefer a modern theme. Looking forward to your efforts. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Here's what I got so far for ES Explorer:

I was advised a few weeks back that the full sizes of the first versions of these icons - pretty much what's seen in the sample layout below the version pics in this post - are too small when applied using DVR in certain setups. All versions except the pink are up and resized. Also in progress is a DVR TUT, stay tuned. These newly bigger ones look best at a 2 row 1 column ratio, and the DVR option you select for widget size - 2x1, or 4x2, or 6x3 - should be closest to the display size you want in advance. Resizing am icon from 2x1 to a 4x2 will stretch the image, but selecting 4x1 and expanding it 1 row will do the trick for a larger icon. Please let me know if this makes sense
Here's V1.2: grey toned buttons with colored glyphs. Contains the same icons as V1.1R
V2.1R & 2.2R
V4.1, .2, & .3: White, Color, and Smoked Glass
V3 is Monochrome Glass

Please post your screens or links to them - I'd love to see what you've done with the icons
On applying the icons: I use a photo editing program to put the icons on whichever screens I'd like, directly on the wallpaper. Not only can I then space the icons however I please, but this also allows for different wallpapers on different screens.
One of the easiest ways to apply whatever icons you'd like (without a computer, or on your phone) it to use Desktop Visualizr: these icons will come out best at 2 rows wide by 1 tall, depending on your layout. I am in the process of writing a very in depth TUT on doing so for a variety of setups, so please stay tuned Here are the very basics
1. You can save the icon image(s) to your SD card and apply it as a widget anywhere on the screen. 2x1 works best. Long press, choose DVR 2x1, select the image on the prompt, and selection the app/action that corresponds to it.
You can apply the icons to wallpaper via photo editing, then simply use transparent .png pictures to put your shortcuts/apps in the areas over the paper using DVR.
Here are some tutorials and discussions: click, clicky, click, clicky, and click.
If you haven't seen PaulMZ's Windows Phone theme for Android over at Android Forums, his first post gives a huge amount of great info on Desktop Visualzr and image editing for custom icons on your homescreen.
To use different wallpapers on different screens, there are two applications I know of to do this, both free on the market: MultiPicture LiveWallpapers and Super Wall Lite. I prefer Super Wall because it hogs less memory and it MUCH more stable in my experience. Please ignore the bad ratings: those were given by users who were not informed about how to apply the super paper: you must access the app via the 'Live Wallpapers' setting on your phone; the same is true for MultiPicture.
There is another benefit in using 'panoramic papers' of Super Wall- that is, one extra wide paper styled to use on mutliple screens. In MultiPicture, however, you must apply one paper to each screen. Since I am always changing screens, and can often be testing icons and themes on 7 screens at one, I prefer the ease of Super Wall in just making one big paper to span all the screens.
If you aren't familiar with a lot of image editing practice, I am glad to apply the icons to a paper of your selection - just post the paper and which icons you'd like applied, along with your phone's resolution/model and your layoud grid for columns and rows.
If you like what I have done and would like to show your gratitude, Leo is pretty hungry...

Blank tiles for applying live info to are in the the post below and included in each set above (9/22).
Draft of Instructions for Live Tiles: more info/screens soon.
The font closest to what I used in the V1 icons is Jersey M54- click here to download from DaFont.
The font for the serif tiles is DejaVu Serif Condensed.
The best way to make 'live' tiles, frankly, is to apply the icons to your wallpaper, then put whatever text widgets you'd like on top. You can put the icon down as a widget using Desktop Visualizer then apply another text widget on top if your home launcher supports 'overlapping widgets' during customization. This will work...or it won't. Often, people say it works until the phone is rebooted - then presto, chango, the widgets are unstacked.
I am sure that some of you have mastered 'make your own widgets' like Chronotopia or M-clock, and can then use the icon as the backdrop with the desired text on top - I hope to give these or other similar apps a try in the near future, but I myself find it preferable just to mess with the wallpaper
There are blank email, gmail, call, sms, calendar and clock icons enclosed within all versions.
I have used SMS unreadcount mods on all the tiles- the easiest way is to apply the icons to your paper, then put a transparent icon for the SMS unreadcount bubble. I have done the same with ADW Ex notification bubbles, using ADW Ex to make the icon for the gmail/phone/sms icon a blank image over the top of the paper. I am glad to help out with this process

Sorry, I was just updating the thread with another color scheme and instructions.
Basically they icons are:
1. png's to apply to your wallpaper in a photo editor - put them wherever you want, then use transparent icons/shortcuts/widgets on top - a lot of people use Desktop VisualizR to do that.
2. Apply with Desktop VisualizR using the images as the actual widgets; you can use any image to as a widget/shortcut. This limits the size of the icon to whatever your grid layout is for you screen. So if your grid is a vageuly squarish setup - like 4 columns by 6 rows - then the image would be resized to fit in this space. That means you're somewhat restricted on how closely you can place icons/images together, and where they can go on your screen. That's why I personally use method 1.
3. Also, some home launchers (like ADW) will let you replace default icons with your own images. This has the same restrictions as 2.
I promise to do a step-by-step and link TUTs for this by tomorrow with screen shots.
In the meantime, I am happy to apply the icons to a wallpaper of your choice if you are familiar with using Desktop VisualizR- that allows you to put transparent shortcuts on top for anything you want. I would need your paper, grid layout, and phone model/resolution.
Come back soon for more, sorry for the delay MP
