how to install cab file

I'm a new user of windows mobile products. I just owned my first xda O2 IIs. Can somebody please explain to me how to install a cab file into the device? i'm trying to get Intellipad to work on my O2

I just copy the cab (via activsync) to anywhere on the device.
and run it from the device.

Convert Hotix.exe to cab ?

Hi,
Is you it possible to convert the hotxix for the HD in cab ? Or how to integrate them directly in the kitchen ?
(TouchHD_display flicker.exe and Touch HD_SlidingAnswer.exe)

When you install the exe files, it will be a cab file placed in root folder.
Get it as soon as possible, or it will be deleted when finished.

Could somebody be so nice and upload the cab files please? Unfortunately I'm running Windows 2000 and the executives tell me my OS is too old.

try launch the exe on the phone, and don't install (but let it stay running, not terminating the program), use your favorite file browser to grab the "Install.cab" under the root folder

You have to do it on device not on PC

I put this order in my Kitchen (Oem OperatorPkg_PT)
EXEC:\windows\TouchHD_display_flicker.exe
EXEC:\windows\Touch_HD_SlidingAnswer.exe
But there must be certainly simpler ??

Archive program for the mobile

Is there any archive program equivalent of 7zip for the windows mobile? I know that there is a portable version of winrar, but that only unarchives zip and rar files. I'd need something to unarchive tar files. Total Commander only does zip files.
I'd prefer free solutions too, but that may be asking too much

But doesn't winrar for the mobile only do rar and zip files? I know the desktop does more, but I thought the mobile version was limited.

the cab is somewhere in the dirs of the normal onenote install on your pc

I searched and found many . cab
Perhaps this is "18290_1_MP_ttn_6_032_8351_HTCITA_Kaiser.cab" in the "C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft ActiveSync \ HTC Apps?"
What should I do?

How did you delete it ? If it was part of your original stock rom, just hard reset. Or , with file explorer, find it in your /windows file and re-install it.
I don't think that you are going to find it in a .cab file, since it was included as part of Office 2010.

I'm not sure you uninstall the file, I think I uninstalled because I do not appear anymore in the start menu and can not find the file. exe
office? the version that I found on the TyTN is the 2007
I now look dim in the original installation disks

From your desktop OneNote: Tools>Options, select "OneNote Mobile" from the list on the left. There will be a button to install on your mobile device.

help please wanted before i pull all my hair out' bite all my nails off and become the man to launch a xda ll off of beachy head.......grrrrrrrrrrrr.
my problem is, i have windows mobile 6.1.6965 and running widows 7.
everything hooks up ok, i can see whats on my mobile, but when i download ext,rom unlock and unhide, plus hima_doc plus pnewboot, which are zipped folders, i tried to unzip them through winraa and its always asking for the next file to carry on to a full unzip, ive tried for hoursssssssssss with no luck.
all im trying to do is unhide my extra space format it and install a new operating system.
also when i try to extract any zip file to my xda, a screen opens to ask where i want to drop them to, but i cant see my pda in this screen, i was wondering was this the fault of windows 7.
im realy new to this so a walkthrough with step by step upgrade instructions would be great ie do i need to leave my sim card in and unlock ext_rom and installing a operating system.
i know this takes time to explain this, but this is a excellent forum and i hope there is a kind member out there that would do this.

You can't do that.
when you do the himadoc tool you only get about 10mb more space for apps/

just use 7zip or winrar to extract the stuff on this link on your pc-

just a quick note' ive just tried to open those files in winraa' they open allright but when i want to extract them to desktop, it asks for another volume to continue.
