Hey guys,
This is a beta build of S2P (Slide2Play) for Diamond to support the GSensor & AVRCP. Glitches maybe found here or there, but I'm just so excited about the new features and would like to share with the other Diamond users.

Installation:
- install S2P v0.40 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377627)
- overwrite the S2P.EXE with this new build.
Diamond AVRCP
Please follow these steps to have AVRCP works for S2P
- remove the Music tap from TouchFlo 3D with Diamond TF3D Config http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405749 (thanks Sushilange);
- restart the device;
- turn on the Bluetooth & connect the BT Headset;
- start the Windows Media Player (sometimes it will be automatically started once the BT Headset is connected) & minimize it by pressing the End Call key;
- start S2P & enjoy

First of all, thank you for this great app. I have removed that crappy music tab on my home screen and I'm using this now as before on my other devices.
Now some comments.
What i miss is the option to select just an album. When i open S2P i see all the mp3's in one big list. I would like it to show as albums/Folders so i can select just the folder i like to hear. I made an example how i would like it to see. Please don't shoot me, it's crappy music but it was the first that came into my mind.

I don't see anything happening when i tilt the device to all 4 direction, it's still in the portrait mode, not moving the screen with g -sensor at all. Why this program is for then ?

Maybe you've got a crappy Diamond... just kidding...

If there is no screen rotation (rotation only happen when it on the Music Playback screen or Album View screen) with v.41, please try to redownload the v0.41b from the first post. If still no go, send me the S2P.LOG file which is created under the S2P's installed folder.

0.40 was already very fine
With this one on Diamond it is awesome !
It is a pity that Diamond have the mute sound Bug when this is a call at the same time.
I loose the the sound in SP2 after received or made a call.

Allright, now it's working as it's supposed to the .41b version did the trick. But still rendering is too slow unlike iphone where it just renders in a whip !

Also, mute sound bug is so annoying after a call, please fix it as well as the graphics rendering and it'll be just a coool application. Also, if playlists would be supported, it'd be just awesome

I am using the latest Internationnal ROM with olinex 1.40 HardSPL and do not haveany graphic probleme.

What I need now is not ideas, but time...

v 0.41b not working in Landscape mode for Touch
Hello
I just wanted to let you know that I tested the new version v 0.41b on my HTC Touch and it works fine and fast in portrait mode; however, if I try launching it in landscape mode, it does not work at all. Maybe something to do with the fact that it is set up for the Diamond (GSensor) which the touch does not have. It seems that it is freezing while trying to launch and I have to soft reset the phone. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it did the same thing. I did not have this problem with the last verion 0.40. Just wanted to let you know. I will continue using v 0.40 as it is much better then pretty much anything else out there as it is. Thanks anyways for all the time and effort you put into your projects. Much appreciated. Your apps make my phone fun and cool.
PS Your programs are the best out there. Keep up the great work

Hi A_C just a small thing that really makes this version very iritating.
Could you disable the rotation when sceen is of ?
Because :
It use CPU -> battery .
The bigest problem is, when you are walking or moving, S2P doesn't stop rotating between landscape and portrait and so make S2P Lag and makes very often pause when playing.
For the rest, so far so good, the rotation works Great (to great LOL) and by deleting Audio tabs in manila, seems to resolve the sound bug after each call

I have some spare days left in the attic. Need them?

I downloaded this program abit earlier today, and after some use, all my memory on phone was used, about 40MB while just using S2P, i did a hard reset cause it only freezed while i tried turning on the phone.
I wasn't sure what caused this, so i installed S2P again, to check if this was the problem, it got installed in "my device-program files-s2p" and i started playing music and checked my phone memory alot to see if it went down, at first it didn't but now, it went down with 5mb, so i went to my device-program files-s2p and there it was a new file on 5,6MB, so i guess thats what caused it.
It looks like it's creating new files while playing, has this happened to anyone else than me? And could you please fix this bug.

Wanted to say thanks for an amazing app!
The stock gallery app was pretty poor especially compared to iphone etc, but with this new app I can really enjoy my pics in style! Slideshow is a standout - especially collage!
Suggestions would be to add exclude folder option and tagged images.

Wow just tried the demo of this app and it's looking good. Like the features you've introduce so far. Could be a really good app.
It does keep crashing after the phone goes to sleep though for me. I'm on CyanogenMOD 4.0.4 ATM. If this can be fixed I think it will be one of my next purchases.

Awesome looking app. Seems like after a few minutes it just goes to sleep and my phone is totally unresponsive for a minute.
Running on a G1 with apps on SD card

Great job so far.
Some ideas/thoughts:
1. The scrolling is a bit weird. Almost like it's scrolling faster than I'm moving my finger. Instead of it being 1:1 it seems to be scrolling further than I want as I move.
2. It would help a lot if the size of the folder buttons was larger. The first screen where you see the listing of all the directories on your card that have photos. I've missed the button I want a few times since they aren't tall enough for a satisfying hit area.
3. If I choose "share" from any image, choose gmail for instance, and send or discard the message, when it drops me back into the app I see the splash screen and then the directory chooser again. Not the image I was just looking at. Frustrating!
4. That splash screen has to go. It makes sense for the indexing part, but when there is no indexing, or in the case of coming back to the app like I mentioned above, it's annoying.
That aside, it's looking pretty good! The last update improved IQ greatly. No more color banding on gradients!

The latest update (1.1.2) fixed #3 from my previous post. Nice!

Very nice app, however i find the double tap / circular zoom procedure a bit difficult to master. I would certainly pay for app if it supported multi touch zoom as well.

features to add
this application is great as it stands, beautiful UI very well done transitions its great, but a couple of features i would really like to see would be the ability for this applications to be the default picture grabber for aplications and such instead of the gallery(though this would probably have to be edited on both sides of it yours and the sides of the applications themselves), the second being easily enough done would be the ability to hide folders of pictures from the main page and/or the ability to sort the picture folders as this would eliminate need to remove them just place them somewhere else

There's another bug I found: view a picture, open the hardware keyboard on a G1. The app will exit back out to the splash screen and show you the folder picker again.
Happens on any open/close of the keyboard.

Would love a default folder or "exclude" folder option.
I want to show people pics without them having to go through every stupid jpg on the memory card from apps , and would like to avoid them stumbling into pics I want private.
Im aware of privacy folder apps but this app could kill 2 birds with one stone but letting us have the option to open a default folder that it always looks into and opens on program.
Splash screen and indexing need to be minimized and "when needed" only.
Finger swipe and zoom functions are fantastic but cant use as default until those things are implemented.

Thanks for the suggestions. Default folder and exclude folders are both planned for a future update.
We are 50% complete on the new update which significantly reduces loading time and only indexes required thumbnails.
We are also updating all of our apps to include support for Droid so it may take a liitle longer.
We are open to any suggestions for future updates so keep the ideas coming.

visualisations not working...whats wrong???

only one of the visualisations(the colored bars) that i see in your posts, seems to be working.no waves or swirls etc.
where are the all other visualisations?
i can't see them in options/skin.
i even tried to load a song with no album art, only to get a message of "no album art" in the visualisation area.
how to get the other visualisations???

Check the Vis setting screen shot, to activate Osciloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Album Art and the Visualization Plugin. In this example Randomization, that will use all possible Vis plugins, in a random order. You have to activate the same check boxes, as shown as well, to seem them all.

i followed exactly as you demonstrated.
i could get one more visualsation- the dotted waves (in addition to colored bars ).
Still no swirls. it instead shows up the album art twice on tapping.Maybe it finds difficult to upload swirls.

yeah,you were correct. i had missed that part as it didn't show like checking the boxes.
i even checked the "Fullscreen Plugin" and now the swirls look amazing playing on the full screen.
btw, do you, by any chance, have any information or the actual .avi plugin for pocket player ?
my pocket player can't play .avi files.

As far as I know there is no plugin available to play avi (divx/xvid) with Pocket Player. Pocket Player supports only WMV videos, like Windows Media Player Mobile does.
Use TCPMP to watch avi (divx/xvid), or convert them to WMV to watch with Pocket Player.

Thanks. Yea just reading my forums or taking a look at the changelog in the app (prefs -> about gmmp -> changelog) shows how active I am.

Discovered this on a Reddit thread, downloaded, and gonna buy after my next paycheck. I bought PowerAMP, but man...this one is CLEAN. Excellent job on the app.
One question...how do I get the Artist/Album tags to work? ie- I have an EDM compilation record with all different artists. I don't want to setup a playlist, nor do I want to change the "artists names" to "Various" or (how I used to do it in iTunes) the Album title. What should the process be to have the individual artists still show up, but have them all grouped under one record, instead of having 16 different 1-song Artists in my "Artists" tab?

Sorry for the delay, been a few days since i checked the thread.
How is your music organized? Are the files in the compilation in the same folder? If they are in the same folder, albums are grouped by album name and year. So be sure they all have the same album name (which i assume they do) and be sure the files in your compilation record have the same year.. a fresh scan will group them together.
A change I made in one of the last few updates caused some issues with compilations / best of / collections in the same folder with songs with years that do not match. The change was to fix 2 songs by different artists but the same album name being grouped together (and not part of a compilation). The next update will have an option to ignore year when grouping files in the same folder into albums. There will be 3 options: always, smart, never. Smart will basically scan the album title to determine if it should use the year to group, so albums with hits, compilation, various artist, best of, or collection in the album title will ignore the year when grouping
You also have the option of using the album artist tag. Tag all the songs in the album with an album artist of "various" or "edm collection". The artist tag will still contain the artist of the song.
In the artist tab, it actually lists the album artist tag by default. To view artists you can press menu -> artists to list by artist tag.
Anyway sorry for the wall of text.. if what i suggested doesnt work just post some more information about how your music is organized and i'll help you out.
Edit: I reread your post and have a question. Does everything appear as the same album in the album tab? Your issue is just that you have each artist listed separately in the artist tab?

Have you been wishing you could easily control your music and notifications with a Daydream app? Then I may have something for you! I released this a few months back and have been working on making it better learning from what users liked or disliked. Sadly I have learned its tough to get the word out through the Play Store only. So without further ado please check out:

Features:
- On-screen controls to skip to the next or previous song and play or pause
- Full screen album art (can be made only the width of the screen as well)
- Scrolling album art (when full screen)
- Immersive display (hidden nav bar and nav bar is translucent when brought back)
- Ability to launch daydreaming from launcher. **NOTE** Samsung has tweaked their builds in a way such that this does not work.
- Multiple UI preference controls including transparency and screen timeout while music is not playing and much more
- Gesture controls:
-- Swipe to the left to skip to the next
-- Swipe to the right to skip to the start or previous song
-- Swipe down to play or pause
- Notification display:
-- Active non constant notification icons will be displayed
-- Tap and hold on a icon to display the expanded notification
-- Release to make notification expanded display go away but leave notification active
-- Swipe up from icon to keep it displayed after release
-- Swipe down from icon clears the displayed notification from the screen if kept open or clears it from status bar completely
--Applications can have their notifications blacklisted and they will not appear in the notification display in the dream

The free version is not updated as often as the paid version and can be a versions behind for a while so buy the full version to keep up with the awesomeness!!

Tried some others, this is definitely the best!
One request - could we show the battery level percentage? I know the phone's charging because of the notification light, but can't see the status when daydreaming.

I notice my phone was getting warm (not hot) with Musical Daydream, I've disabled the art scrolling to see if it helps, although it means the album art is now zoomed in to fit the screen, which I guess is the trade-off

Sorry to hear its warming up. There is an option to disable the full screen album art just above the option to disable the scrolling art. Another cause of the warming could be the screen staying full brightness for an extended period, make sure "Dimming While Dreaming" is enabled.

I've switched off Full Screen album art, and ensured Dimming is set (the screen is dim as per normal daydream/docked behaviour).
It's odd because my phone is basically idle, eg no notifications coming in, just sitting there charging and playing music. I'm concerned that the heat will mean charging will take longer.
Anyways, I'm happy enough for now, will keep using, so far my phone hasn't gotten overly hot!
EDIT: it seems to stay warm (it's a bit cooler than before though) even when music has finished.

I had a bit of free time today and was able to get battery status implemented. It has been sent to Google and should appear in the beta release channel soon. I will look into your heat issues soon.

Are you in the beta release channel? I haven't had enough time to verify everything is good enough for release just yet, may be ready for public release Wednesday or Thursday. I'm fairly certain its stable but wanna make sure.

Glad you like it!! I have pushed 1.3.9 with battery status integration to public channel. I have a few more planned updates coming soon and would love to hear some ideas for improvements.

I recommend BubbleUpnp works much better than this supports upnp local server, remote server, remote control points etc

While BubbleUPNP may be great for what it does it is meant for a fairly different use. It is a media player that uses remote data using UPNP protocol. Musical Daydream on the other hand is a Daydream app that controls other media players on the device and displays media metadata.

Sorry it took so long school and work have kept me busy the past couple weeks but I finally have finished a beta build with full access to Google.com/Fonts selection! Each font will be downloaded upon selection and the next time you go to select fonts this option will be displayed in its proper font.
Please let me know if you have any issues. Should be close to production release.

The ability to change the dream's font is now available in public release 1.5. Enjoy!

Just loaded this app and love the concept. One request that I have is to display clock/date/alarm information. I use the clock daydream when I go to bed, so either I have to switch daydreams on a daily basis, or hope that your app will display clock, date and alarm information, even when music isn't playing.

I am experiencing the hot phone issue as well, even when music is not playing, with full screen image and scrolling. After it cools down, I will turn off scrolling to see if that helps.
