Use your Fuze/Touch Pro as a wireless Keyboard and Mouse!!! - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

This software lets you use the keyboard on your Fuze/Touch Pro as a wireless keyboard and the touchscreen as a Touch Pad Mouse like the kind on a laptop. Unfortunately this software is not free but they do have a trial version that you can try and the only limitation is it forces you to reconnect after every 30 clicks. This program can use either WIFI or Bluetooth to connect to your computer and pretty much lets you do anything from controlling Vista Media Center and Winamp to controlling your computer as long as you can write a script.
The software is called Salling Clicker
http://www.salling.com/
The program uses scripts that people create and post on the forum. I wrote this script a long time ago for my HTC Hermes to control my computer.
I don't know anything about programming or coding but I managed to write this script in about one night after reading a few basic tutorials and help from the forum members on Salling's forum. Since I put this together without any real knowledge this script is really basic but get the job done. If anyone wants to improve the script your welcome too, perhap you can smooth out the mouse movement and sensitivity even more.
Installation Instructions
1. Download and install the software on your PC
2. Pair up your phone with the computer by Bluetooth or use Wifi
3. Choose the correct phone from the drop down menu ( Touch Pro in this case) and it will begin to install the client software to your Phone.
4. Download my script and unrar into My Clicker Scripts located in My Documents
5. Open up the host software on your PC and drag the script called "HTC Universal Keyboard and Mouse" from the right box into the left box labeled "Items available on your handheld device".
6. Start up the program on your Fuze and establish a connection and choose the "HTC Universal Keyboard and Mouse" script to run
7.??????
8. Profit!

Thanks alot, i will definitely give this a try

Anybody have this working on a Fuze? The only thing that will open is GMouse, and the only things that work inside it is the left click and moving the cursor but that only works if the left mouse click is held down making me highlight a bunch of stuff.

one of my favorite apps.

Not that i use it alot, but yea gremote is great. Using your phone for a steering wheel for racing games works great. Or if you got a decent set of speakers, you can change the songtrack or volume from the backyard while your planting your two-lips.

Same here. I tried a Logitech wireless keyboard with touchpad that's specifically made to use with a PS3. The zoom feature was aweful when using the web browser, so I returned it.
There's a way to format the PS3's hard drive to either boot up like a normal PS3 or boot up like a Linux computer. I'm gonna check the PS3 forums to see if there's any info posted about using a WinMo device.

Touch Screen as Mouse Pad

Hi Everybody
I was wondering, does any one know about an application that allows u to use the Kaiser's touch screen as a mouse pad for the PC?
I guess it should be using BT as the comm method....

C'mon! Use some google, check out the wiki.... this has been discussed over and over and over.
Salling Clicker does a good job, but isn't free. Also works with wifi.
BT remote does a bit of a lesser job, but is free
And there's a lot more of 'em. You could also consider VNC-like solutions.
But as said, there's a LOT of info available on this topic, if you take 2 minutes to search for it.
Last time I've used Salling clicker it did not support touch screen, I'll check BT remote though.
Thanks, and I promise to search better next time.
Cheers

I'm using salling clicker on a daily basis to operate my mediacenter. Touch screen acts as mouse, keyboard is usable.
Desired software discussed between the two of you and chapter closed. Thank you
Advice for soundfx3d: Next time try and put in a question mark to your question (subject) so everyone doesnt view thinking you are offering something. Only who knows the answer will check it out

request :) Toch Diamond as a pc gamecontroller

Hi all,
It would be nice to use the gsen of the diamond as a game controller for custom made games on the pc(like the wii).
Is this possible

No I don't think it would be easy...
that's why I ask it the pro's!!!
nice idea. Bluetooth connection to the PC?
lol... just the idea of pairing a device on Bluetooth with Windows...
Can't imagine the phone side to be too hard - my first shot would probably be WLAN since that's the easiest way to get some connection working. Once you have that simply passing gsen / dpad / buttons (maybe even touchscreen input?) to the PC should be rather trivial.
The harder part is probably to write a gamepad driver for windows that interprets that input data and transforms it to DirectInput compliant information.
While I certainly know how to do the phone side - I am somewhat unsure about the PC side. The last time I did some driver coding is AGES away. I don't even know if opening a TCP/IP socket from inside a driver is possible/a good idea. Maybe one would need a daemon-like user space program to read the input from the network and feed it to the driver...
Would acualy ge a freaking awsome Ide toward an playstation 3.
And acualy a computer.

Geez I wish I had time to look into that - if their stuff was open source I am sure we could leverage about 90% of their XP driver implementation (which most likely they managed pretty well)...
do we need to remake drivers?
you can get Python (program used) for PocketPC, and it just bluetooth on to PC with NiiMe software....
testing now...
while they seem to use python on a S60 phone - this doesn't directly translate to doing the same thing on a WiMo diamond... The fact that they released their source under the GPL makes reusing their PC software a viable option though.
Speaking of GPL source - has anyone found their code available for download on their site?
Okay guys - you got me as far as installing a devel enviroment and writing a simple gsen SDK based test app now - if there's someone willing to spend some time on the PC DirectInput driver side I'm sure we can get somewhere with this...
This.Would.Be.Awesome. !!!!!!!
if this works, I gonna get a diamond other than orbit 2

nice, i didn't know that this exist. So asking here for the request whasn't as stupid as i tought!!!
+1 for up!
Hey
I'm currently working on a little client-server (TCP/IP) thingie to at least get GSensor data from the Diamond to the PC - once that is done there's still the very ugly part of writing a DirectInput driver that acts like a gamepad...
If anyone wants to take over the driver-writing part things would progress much more quickly I guess
Sadly I don't have too much spare time at the moment to spend on the matter though.
Cheers,
Alex
a gsensor keyboard emulator could control for example
FLUX the game. (3d tube flying), by senden keystrokes
to windows` keyboardhandler
whoever does figure this out will be the man. when it does happen i just hope it will do the job for the cdma version coming to telus on or around august 6th
I have a .NET client/server pair running in an WiMo6 emulator now sending what could actually be GSen data at a fairly decent rate. Not considering the GSensor it's pretty much phone independent.
And if anyone tells me how to get rid of the files VS2k5 places on my Diamond for debugging the application I'll try the same thing with a real GSensor I am just tired of hard-resetting my Diamond in order to clean up the mess done by the development environment...
Cheers,
Alex
Edit: Okay, I tested it on my diamond by simply copying over the two required files (no debugging possible though) and transferring GSen data either via ActiveSync (say Bluetooth) or WLAN works nicely. But I'm afraid it's necessary to keep the device awake to avoid lags (does the diamond reduce CPU speed on standby?).

Control Pocket PC from Desktop software... I forget the name, HELP??

Anyone have any idea of the name of a free program that did this? It also let you take snapshots and record videos of the screen of your pocket pc. Any help would be appreciated.

Out of curiosity...
What's the difference between Soti Pocket Controller and Mymobiler?
do they have the same functions, do they do different things? Or they are pretty much exactly the same?
lame late reply...
DotPocket is also one of them... (http://www.dotpocket.com , seems down?)
i prefer pocketcontroller too tho

I love Soti because I demo software from my Tilt.
Not only does the software allow me to mimic the phone on the laptop, record screen shots and videos, but I can spoof different skins onto the image so that I can duplicate the handhelds that the customer will be using.
And all the associated buttons on the spoofed skin WORK... making training a lot easier.
The only real problem I have with Soti is that the bluetooth connection is really quirky.... doesn't always work that way.
I like the Soti Controller Pro as well. BUT.... my desktop crashed and I needed to download the version that I HAD, and it won't let me. They're FORCING me to download the new version 6.02 which doesn't work with my current registration code! And the NEW one they gave doesn't work because they need me to upgrade!!!!
I'm looking for a new FREE desktop controller!
Anyone know of a good one?
@maia
mymobiler is good although it's already been mentioned.
it does have picture screen capture and video screen capture though the videos for me are double-speed. like they had too much caffeine or something.
MyMobiler 1.25...
i use one called Mdesktop.. tis very good
anyone tried "sparus software everywan remote support personal edition"? its free and you get a copy of your device screen on your desktop to poke with your mouse instead of your finger (unless you have a touchscreen pc of course!)

Is there an app like this for Android? (Airmouse on iPhone)

Anyone seen an app like this for the Android? I would love to be able to control my laptop whenever I hook it up to the HDTV.
http://www.mobileairmouse.com/
Haven't seen one for Android, but I've used a purpose built airmouse before for presentations.....it worked surprisingly well!
Something like this for Android would be excellent....also lots of fun to screw with your co-workers....almost as much fun as the Annoy-o-tron.
Well... there is an app that I have used called RemoteDroid. You need to have a small java app running in the background of the pc that you want to control but it basically turns your phone into a touchpad mouse. You can also check out Android Joystick which is basically the same concept except you tilt the phone the direction that you want to move. Kinda beta-ish and possibly abandonded but it's worth a look. I'm sure that there are more out there though. I did a search on Market for the word "Remote" and came up with a several varity of possible apps that may work for you. However as far as I can tell... there is no "Mobile Air Mouse" specific to the Android phones as of yet. It looks pretty interesting though.

hmmm, i just checked the website again and I see it listed under the FAQ. Seems like that would be a feature they would want on the front page and in the screenshots...lol
If you just need trackball and keyboard support, RemoteDroid does it. Plus, RemoteDroid doesnt need to be installed on your computer just a 74.1 KB zip file with a java file needs to be run. Gmote requires you to download a 23 MB install file.
Gmote does have a larger install...but I can use my phone to control the computer, with Keyboard/trackpad/ball, and make my computer start playing music/vids, Open a web site I was reading on the phone, and play my music directly from the PC on my phone...so...yeah it's bigger...but it's also better, at least for me =). Also, running windows 7 here, remotedroid lags a LOT for me.
Thanks for the info.
I ended up having to install Gmote on my MacBook Pro. RemoteDroid wouldnt work for some reason on my Mac but Gmote works just fine. RemoteDroid works fine on WinXP though.
Question about Gmote: Is there a way to show mouse buttons on the touchpad?
Unfortunatly that is the one thing that I have been waiting for. Currently I can't click and drag due to the lacking button/multitouch.
But it still rocks =D
This is what you want
Android air mouse.
www dot mobilongtech dot com
I am not allowed to post external link. sorry for that.
gremote pro by GBM software works flawlessly.
premotedroid works successfully too.
Does anybody know any application that emulate mouse via accelerometer like Logitech MX Air Mouse?
Bluewave air mouse is nice. However, currently no accelerometer based app exists that I know of. The air mouse app on the iPhone doesn't really work flawlessly, I like trackpad apps much better. However: accelerometer + get it working as a bluetooth mouse = heaven.

I have found the app that do this - MultiRemote.
In settings you can turn on wiiMode and after that move the mouse via phone position.
In top-bottom it works good, but for moving left-right I need to change the angle of phone (to left or right), but better will be to detect direction via compass or something else.
Or another method - detect not angle, but moving the device (top, bottom, left, right) - is it possible?
Does accelerometer detect only angle changing? Or it can detect device moving (accelerating and stopping)?
How does the program like Shwartz detects phone moving?
I use phone my pc. It has keyboard/mouse function. Control live/remote desktop style, control specific processes and such, and many more options.
The Best, hands down

RemoteDroid sucks, with Gmote you have to keep CMD running. The best by far is PhoneMyPc, it's around 10$, but you could get it free. Here's how, you'll need the aforum app, once in go to shared topics. The post is 3 months old so scroll a bit, the topic is (I'm hosting this site, plenty of apps for android etc.) There's a link that will take you where you need to go. The benefits of this app are, you can control as many computers as you want from anywhere in the world and can be used as a mouse, or you can interact live with your PC, keyboard from it and everything, works fine on 3G and even better with wifi, it's a beautiful thing, trust me. When I'm doing something on the computer and I have to fly, I can finish up from my phone on my PC. Some shots so you can see a bit.
Okay folks, so what's the last word on this one? Is there, or is there no Android app that does what www.mobilemouse.com does on iPhone? I am specifically interested in the "air mouse" bit, which means accelerometer-based cursor movement, no trackpad or other garbage. Does GRemote do that? Anyone tried it?
P.S. Ideally, the app should turn the Android phone into a Bluetooth HID air mouse, so that no SW has to be installed on the PC.

A nicer way to do it would be good, but to click and drag: click and hold the trackball and drag on the touchpad.

Is there an APP to use our phones as a Mouse/touchpad for our computers?

Sorry if it's in the wrong section, but I had my phone on the right side of my laptop, and instinctively reached for it as my mouse... Is this possible?
Remote droid is the closest you will come to using an android device as mouse. It however does not work the way you you are thinking...
I'm sure it is doable but you would have to put something under the phone to act as a fulcrum so the accelerometer knew when to adjust the pointer on-screen..
I'd be careful though, Apple may have a patent on the iphoneMouse....
OR
You could just not put your phone where you put your mouse and simply use your mouse
haha, thanks for the info. That app is pretty cool i guess, would be a good way to control a multimedia set-up from your couch.
there is a free app called Gmote that lets you use the n1 as a mouse pad, keyboard and multimedia control. also has a file browser.
PhoneMyPC does that as well as many other stuff, though its only for Windows....
Oh yea, on top of that it's not free.
