So this isn't quite skinning TF3D but just customizing the home screen wallpaper. (I'll get to skinning later) But there is no better place to show us what you have done so far...

Install:
Download Zip file
Extract wallpaper
Copy wallpaper to device
Goto TF3D Settings tab
Tap Wallpaper
Select wallpaper and enjoy...

I just made a wallpaper with the logos and the black lines to line up with the TF3D Skin... Just a little trickery! I'll be looking into skinning TF3D soon...

**BUMP** I've updated the wallpaper attachments to zip files and added install instruction to first post... Enjoy....

I feel like an idiot asking this, but I've looked and searched and am stuck. How the heck do I change the font color of the text on the home page from black to white? I'm speaking of the the txt "Call History" and the calendar items that show up on the home page.

is is possible to have more items on the home screen?
I tried to put other stuff like date but it will not allow me to. the only way would be to uncheck 3dtouchflo and then you can put anything on the home screen. please help. thanks

I have not heard of a tweak or reg edit to accomplish this as of yet.. I'm sure it wont be long! I've seen some skins with different font colors though...

What program do you use to take screenshots? Just wondering which would be the most efficient...

The Perfect Today Screen

So I always try new today apps and have always gone back to my same set up. I am not a big TF3d fan so I want to post my today and let you know what programs I use and see if anyone has some really amazing stuff I am missing.
1. rlToday on top for time/date and program launcher
2. TodayAgenda in the middle for calendar
3. SpbPhoneSuite on the bottom for notifications and profile switching

Funny I use Spb Time up top, PocketBreeze in the middle (usually calendar only), and minimized Spb Phone Suite on the bottom. Very very similar. I love that setup and if this is your work phone it keeps everything you need close at hand.
Getting a Fuze to replace 8525 in a couple of days and wondering if I should even bother with TouchFlo. Looks neat but I like the "one glance" utility of my setup and your's, I don't think TF3D is going to make it.

I just went from an 8525 to a Fuze (received my Fuze yesterday), and I have to agree that you definitely lose a little bit going from that one-glance Today screen to the TouchFlow.. but it looks REALLY nice... I have the latest version of the Energy ROM and I'm loving it.
The Fuze is such an AMAZING upgrade coming from the 8525. The keyboard takes a bit to get used to, but after 30 hours I'm already starting to get the hang of it.

Touch Flo 3D Clock??

Is there anything similar to this out there as far as widgets go? Im currently using the retro clock but its black and a bit small. I was wondering if anyone knew of one out there.

Go to the market place and type in 'beautiful widgets' it costs €0.99 but you'll get the exact same hero flip clock with the weather icon.

When I search "beautiful widgets" in the Market, nothing found. why is that?

I have bought it and I m a bit disappointed... It doesn't look exactly the same as TouchFlo widget. Different colour (sun is a bit drab), different font size which makes a difference.
So it really looks close to the original widget but not 100% as I've read on different forums...

You need access to paid apps. If your carrier does not allow paid apps than you must root and use market enabler.

very good app - and skinnable too!

Just snagged the donate version and the forcast addon and all I can say is wow, fantastic app and well worth the $1.49. My iPhone never did that!

I got weather widget by donate
- PRO: Looks amazing, I love the look
- CON: my time does not always update. i have to refresh manually sometimes for it to update. any of you find out the reason for this?

mine always updates by itself.. only trouble i had was when i accidentally killed it using taskiller, then it wouldn't update and i had to take the widget off and put it back on.. so make sure that if you have any task killer application that it isn't closing it or preventing it from running?
only thing i can think of.. hope this helps

i thought i might have been that. i do close weather widget via task killer because i don't want anything running but open home, but sometimes it updates even if i close it which is a good thing. if i leave weather widgets on though it always updates but it is open and taking up resources. i like having as few apps open as possible. thanks for the response.

also at my phone: clock doesnt update frequently.... it's 5:12 but clock shows 5:01 ...

[THEME][Fancy Widget] "28 Days" clock skin by cortland1998

I really liked cortland's clock skin in his RR Themes thread, but I recently switched over to Fancy Widget because of LauncherPro. Looking inside the FW theme files though, I saw that it is ridiculously easy to create one, so I just grabbed his png's and made a skin that FW would recognize.

I got his permission before posting this here, and now I'm just making it available for anyone else who uses Fancy Widget and is interested.
Instructions:
Create a sub-directory called "28 Days" in the following location:
/sdcard/Android/data/fancywidget/clockskins
Unzip the contents of the attached zip file to your newly created directory
From the Fancy Widget menu, go to Appearance Settings > Clock Skin
You should see a preview for "28 Days by cortland1998" - simply click it and then choose "apply"
That should be it!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Sorry, but I can't figure out why some users are getting FC when they go to the skin interface. It seems to be a problem that exists outside of this theme, so I unfortunately don't know what help I can offer.

I was wrong about it looking different in Free and Pro... I had just missed a setting when I went from trying one to the other.

Where can i find H7C Clock skin?
EDIT: When i wont to go to "clock skin" or "weather skin" it force close the apk...

From the clock skins screen, clicking on "All" will allow for the download of the H7C skin.

I haven't experienced any FC so it's hard for me to troubleshoot from my end. I tried to purposefully toss some random files into the skins directory to see if that would screw up Fancy Widget, but I'm still not getting FC like you describe.
I'm running Fancy Widget Pro v1.0.0 for whatever that's worth.
Sorry I don't have more advice to offer at the moment. Have you tried wiping any contents from your "clockskins" directory? Perhaps see if FW still crashes after that?

Strange, its working great on Hero (2.1 Sense,rooted) but on X8 (2.1) it force closes...

I have the same problem, and I'm using the pro version.

Why don't you submit the skin to the FancyWidget developer? He's now taking skins an putting them in the Fancy Widget market for download by all.

HI, i have Fancy Widget v2.1.7 and I followed your instructions, but the new skin isn´t showed in the screen, only is the default skin.

With Pro edition you can download from the web site a lote of skins.

For those asking about other skins, I put this together:
[Tutorial] Port a theme from a custom Sense Clock to a FancyWidget clock skin

[THEME] Pure Calendar Widget

I modified a couple of skins with some nicer (in my opinion at least) icons.
You can apply them from within the widget settings under the name:
-tacchan23_XXXXmod (from left to right: ECLAIR, ICS, PURE)
both for Agenda and Grid widgets. (sometime not all the skins are visible at first, in case click on "update list")
You can also select the transparency level when you apply a new skin, so it's possible to make the ECLAIR team transparent too.
All credits go to the original images creators, I just modified them a bit and put all together.

If I had more free time I'd try to do some stuff for Android too, but really difficult to learn the basics again from scratch with very limited time...

i tried uploading your skins from the pure calendar widget but when it loads its a different color and design, it seems to be loading the default skin instead of yours. any idea how i could correct this?

It comes out as the default pure skin which is already installed. However if i install and select the other skins like ics, it installs perfect.

Maybe you could try to clean the App Cache?
Otherwise you can try to uninstall the skins from the calendar widget app.
Then with a root explorer go to /sdcard/.org.koxx.pure_grid_calendar/skins_v2/backgrounds and delete any folders named "tacchan23xxxx".
Then on the widget app, press the update list button and finally download and install again.
Let me know if it works...

I tried clearing cache and data. Didn't work, so I just uninstalled it, and it's all good now
