Hi, I will try to create an Android's update for my Dream... I've, for now, modified two files and ri-create update.zip, insert into sdcard:
recovery mode-> alt + s -> no signature (420files) verification failed..
How to signature the files?
Sorry for my english
Use signapk.jar (you need Java Runtime installed) on the unsigned update.zip. You can get a zip package with all the required files and some basic instructions here.
thank you very much !

I just flashed back to stock (apparently a new version) which is 2.2. My problem is that i cant install clockworkmod. Ive tried two different methods
1. Using rom manager, and just downloading it then flashing it.
2. Downloading the clockworkmod file, putting it in the root directory, and using adb to go into recovery and install it.
Both times i got this error
Finding update package..
Opening update package..
Verifying update package..
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
How can i fix this?
Thanks
Check out the third sticky in captivate general. The one about 3e signature verification. May be what you are looking for.
yeah, i just tried that. Didnt work. Im not sure if i did it right though...
I did..
1) copy the recovery file onto my phone
2) download terminal emulator
3) type su (to get it root access)
4) enter the command (nothing happened after i entered it... it just entered)
5) open file expert and put the file in the right directory
6) use adb to reboot into recovery
then i tried flawshing update.zip... same signature problem
I hope this will help.
For those who have a problem installing update-cm-7.2.0-RC5.7-GalaxyMini-Release-signed.zip on your Galaxy Mini. Based on Yagya's blog (search about cyanogenmod-72-rc57-for-gt-s5570)
When "Installation aborted (bad)" or something like that occurs, just try to:
1. unzip the package somewhere on your harddrive (I used the Archive Utility.app on my MacBook)
2. Zip all the unarchived files into new zip file (rename the zip file as you wish).
3. Copy to & install from sdcard (follow the step by step instructions on article above)
it worked for me
i tried to install this on my milestone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445209&page=92
but it always says signature recognition failed or something, what should i do?
How are you installing?
Try downloading again.
i just changed the file name to update.zip and changed the original update.zip to something else, then i applied sd card: update.zip in recovery mode. is there a way to turn off signature verification?
This way won't work.
You should install a Recovery (if you don't have one). I suggest OpenRecovery.

Put the rom file(.zip) in sdcard\Openrecovery\updates\, then flash zip from sdcard inside recovery.
i got it! thanks guys.
Hello
by mistake delete the framework-res.apk file now I'm trying to reinstall I entered through recovery and use the adb option but I have only the option "sideload" and I get the error signature verification failed
Is stock version 4.1.2
leave the file here in case anyone can pack into a zip flashable or update.zip file for use in recovery mode

Hi, I saw some threads saying some stuff about the Huawei GT3, but they didnt helped me so Im posting this thread.
I have a huge Problem with my phone.
(Im a Newbie btw)
I wanted to root my phone so I installed TWRP and rebooted (TWRP works btw), now it said "Encryption unsuccessfull"
I looked up on YouTube to look how to fix this and ended up deleting my complete OS
Now I downloaded the Firmware of my Phone and looked how to install it with TWRP and ADB.
When I try to install the "update.zip" File with TWRP it says something like this :
[2017-11-14 08:00:21 623] E:unknown command [errno]
dload_format_userdata,line=527: dload_format_userdata ok!
script aborted: update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
I:Legacy property environment disabled.
I:Install took 0 second(s).
Error installing zip file '/data/update.zip'
I also tried to delete the "assert" parts in the updater-script file but it also didnt work.
Now I heard about the "dload" Method but I have some questions about that
1. Where is the dload folder exactly
2. When I try to move the folder cointaining the "update.zip" to as expample root It says not enough space on device (which Is not true) or something like this :
Running command: 'mv "/data/update.zip" "/root"'
mv: write error: No space left on device
mv "/data/update.zip" "/root" process ended with ERROR: 1
Do I maybe have the wrong ROM or something?
Please help me . (or try )
Check the dload guide in my signature. You will know everything. Let me know if any questions or doubts, will help. Dont worry twrp error is normal as these zips shouldn't be flashed with twrp
