I've heard it has VGA recording, can anyone confirm this? And details about the video specs, is it 30 FPS?
I've read somewhere that the video recording resolution is 640X480 at 30fps, but I cant find the article again to prove it :s

Do you mean this bit
The HTC Touch Diamond 2 has a 5 Mega pixel camera with auto focus feature to help you take great pictures. The high VGA video resolution of 640X480 ensures that the photographs are of high quality with sharp and crystal clear images. The phone supports video file formats like WMV, 3gp, M4V, MP4, AVI and 3G2.

That doesn't say it either has or hasn't got VGA recording, in fact I'm not really sure what they are trying to say. They are talking about VGA video resolution in relation to taking photographs, after saying it has a 5 Mega pixel camera. Perhaps they are talking about the screen resolution, but if they are even that is wrong.

I have a note with CM10.1 (last build, 09/01). Works well but the camera not works fine. While i record in 1080p mode the camera apply a rare zoom that insn't in 720p mode.
Anybody know why? I can't post in CM10.1 topic because i don't have 10 messages...
Thanks, and sorry for my baaaaaad english.
I think that is the normal 1080p recording

Yes, if you notice the lowest quality more zoomed out than the 720p recording

Looks really nice. I just did some experimentation with it. For example my coffee maker making coffee.

Lol. Nice.
My friend recorded me juggling with the soccer ball the other day. Sick stuff, gotta love slow-mo.
Slow motion can have sound, and it would have been great if it came with sound, it makes everything funnier
Was it 60 fps or 120?

Wow, I didn't even know it could do 120fps... I had only ever tried it at 1080p. Nice to know that if you change it to 720p you can go slower!

The quality sucks SOO MUCH compared to the iphone 6.
Maybe someone can do a hack for a higher FPS.

I know it's not the best video quality wise, but it was just a quick test. But yea they do have to make some improvements to the camera software. But i think if i had been better at filming, i could have choosen a better spot to film at.

Yes but im a tiny bit a perfectionist, not completely but just a little bit. That is why it irritates me, that i couldn't get it to film a propper video
I flimed one of my dog chasing me, it's really cool!
But I would much prefer if it had audio! Hope they fix on next update!
This is mine
yup..it's low quality video, the video is to much pixelated compare to real 720p and the exposure is too dark...
searching for an app that can record raw 120fps....

Having a higher FPS wont improve quality... I think higher Bitrate would have been better...
Hello everyone, today i had an idea for a xposed module, that would be very helpful for people that have phones without a native HD resolution, like me (800x480).
So here is the deal: i thought of a module that could emulate an HD resolution on the YouTube app, therefore, allowing people to watch videos with quality above their native resolution. I need that because i think 480p on my phone (that is HUGE) looks awful, maybe because the screen ia huge, i dunno...
If it's possible to do so, or if anyone has the skills to do such a needed module please do!!
And thank you.
Greetings
Rusty
It won't be useful. You have a 480p screen. Watching a 720p video on a 480p screen is just wasting your bandwidth.

Yeah, it will be useful, for one simple reason, 480p on a screen this size looks just horrible, and no its not wasting my bandwidth, because with 480p on my phone on YouTube, my phone buffers a 40min video in like 5-10sec. So 720p on my phone's screen will make a big quality difference (will be more pleasing to the eyes) and it won't matter on my bandwidth.

What is the purpose of playing a 720p video on a 480p screen?

He thinks that bigger screen = bigger resolution. It'll not work, there'll not be any difference.

Less packet loss, therefore more quality. I can easily notice some packet/frame loss by quality decreases along the reproduction of the video, particularly in some more "fast paced" videos i watch, mainly in drift videos and rocket league videos, that are uploaded at 1080p 60fps.

Since when does packet loss have anything to do with the resolution of a video? Care to explain that?
Thanks for your thought but
Requesting modules/questions about modules, don't belong here.
Why don't u just read before u post?

I can´t explain very well, but have you ever been watching a stream on twitch (on your phone) on High quality, not Source, HIGH, and when the video starts moving faster (camera pans/jumps) the quality degrades? No? Then you can never understand what im talking about. That is waht im trying to fix....

Then how can i fix it? LOL And don't tell me that i should somehow improve my connection, bcoz that ain't the answer, the answer/fix for this is a xposed module for higher quality video reproduction on the YouTube app...

Solution: update your device to a newer device with a higher resolution
It is not possible to make a display with a given resolution to show stuff with a higher resolution.
Basics: the screen's resolution is determined by its pixel, which means that there is a maximum resolution available for a given device. A higher resolution will be downscaled or pixel will be merged as not all provided pixels can be shown on that display. Simple as that.
Such a module already exists. It's called YourTube. Just search for it in the installer or on the website.

Anyone know if there's a good video to show off the screen of the Note 8 to friends?
Ideally, it'd be in the 18.5:9 (or close) and have HDR and 2K quality.
They had several on the store models and it was tremendous to see.

Youtube has some 4k HDR videos now. Just search it and then hit the button to grop/expand to full screen.
Composed on the Galaxy Note8
4k HDR videos can be downloaded from here: http://4kmedia.org/tag/hdr/
These two are particularly cool:

Hi,
is there any mod to shot video with the 150 degree camera sensor?
I know there could be some limitation in video quality or framerate, but is there any way to do it?
Shooting only pics with it is a huge limitation
Thanks guys
