Well, im tryin to install it Touch-IT V5.061 but my phone keeps saying 'no image file'. Ive used hard-spl and ive installed other rom's but these are stock rom's never a custom one. Im trying to install it using the sd card method. It just wont work. Is there anything i can try? Thanks in advance.
Try it with another sd card.maybe is card's problem. My 1G card is also can not flash rom,but the 4g one is ok.
Well i have had no problems before, and i tried installing and older stock rom and that works fine.
Anyone? Please? Ive tried searching but i cant find much.
did you renamed image to Kovsimg?
did you have .nbh file extension?
Yes, both of those. Like i said im used to rom flashing before on my phone, but this just wont work with this rom. It works with any of the standard xperia roms.

Perhaps your copy of the nbh file is corrupted ?
Try downloading the ROM file again.
are you sure you 3 colour screen says 0.52.OliNex if not you have to hard spl again until it says so. without working hspl your not able to flash custom roms phone will say no rom found
Sorted now, i used the rom update utility. Enjoyin the rom now.
The SD card has to be formatted in FAT32 for it to work

I also posted this over at HowardForums:
Long story short, I was trying to root my phone and flash it with the latest CM using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4848777&postcount=506 Basically, somewhere along the line I f***ed up, and now when I try to turn it on it gets to the Rogers screen and hangs there. I've tried everything I could find to fix it and nothing has worked. I've tried basically everything I could in recovery, and when I go to fastboot, it's a wierd screen that has sort of a rainbow-ish background and for the first line that says what SPL it is, it doesn't say anything.
Just woundering if anyone knows how to fix this or if it's even at all fixable? And if not, is it possible for me to take it in to Rogers and have them replace it or is that not possible? I bought the phone in early July of this year, so I'm not sure if it's under warranty or anything.
Thanks in advance.
Well atleast you haven't bricked the thing. When you boot in to recovery, is it the stock recovery or Cyanogen's recovery image?
I think it's Cyanogen's. It's the one that says something like CM 1.4 + JF at the bottom.
Ah, in that case you're fine I'm not too familiar with the flashing process for cyanogen ROMs, so I can't really help you out there, but if you choose to use other ROMs you will only need to flash one file.
To get your (newly-rooted) phone working again, you could
download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567023 ROM
put it on the root of your sdcard (do not unzip it)
boot in to recovery
wipe
choose flash any zip
follow the promts to flash the ROM
If you don't have a card reader to mount the sdcard, boot in to recovery, then the console and type 'ums_enable' and it will mount on your computer. Then use 'ums_disable' when you're done.
Ok I'll try flashing another ROM and see if it works. Any suggestions for a good non-CM ROM xD?
I think I may have screwed it up since CM now needs you to flash the 1.6 Android, then CM or something. Maybe I did that part wrong. Anyways, I'll try another ROM and post back whether it works or not.
Thanks for the help. I tried flashing a AOSP T-Mobile 1.6 ROM I found and it worked. Now I'm woundering if anyone has any suggestions on other ROMs to try out?

Dwang's ROM sounds good, might want to give that a try. I meant to link to it in my last post, but I guess I forgot :-S

You can try Dwangs. Also, if you decide to install cyanogen's rom, follow his instructions on his wiki, but remove the radio.img inside the ADP recovery just to be safe and resign.
My G! is rooted. I download the ROM and the proper radio. I go into recovery mode after copying the build to the root of my SD card. I wipe all data and than try and flash my build(Alt+S)(update.zip or update with vista), and it always tells me how many files are in the folder and "No Signature" installation aborted. The only rom it accepts no problem is the one that brings me back to 1.5 or donut so that I can get back to 1.6 or cupcake. I use the DREIMG.nbh and Telnet + telnetd from the home screen to root and bring me down to 1.0 . I've tried a number of roms but it never works. What could I be doing wrong. I always follow the direction on all the sites plus what i know. HELP ME!!!!!!!!! I need change!

if you don't have a recovery you can't flash a rom... make sure you do the complete tutorial, you have to have the radio and spl for it to stick
thanks dude! im going now!
Hi
I was tried to root my HTC Tatto in One Click method, but something goes wrong it means "Can not allocate memory adress ..." it happend a few time in a process, but Tattoo reboot just fine. My default rom works ok, I have recovery menu in my phone working (I think). What schould I do in this case? Can I use any .zip and put any room on my phone? Anyway I'm not sure is my default room is rooted, is that required to falsh any diffrent room from .zip?
My point is can I use any .zip file and put rooted rom without risk, or when I'll try to do this it will be brick?
I know how it works because I had my G1 rooted for myself (I rooted this twice because of warranty), and I changed room many times but now I'm confused
Please help.
If you install a terminal emulator from the market you can test for root like this:
Code:
su
id
this should give you: uid=0(root) gid=0(root)
Its long time ago, that I rooted my phone so i cant help with more than that. I just forgot how to do it...
now im confused too
but as i understand you got a custom recovery working, so you can flash any ROM you want (some roms only work with special recovery tho, like CM7 needs ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5)
this "can not allocate memory" is normal as i remember.
Yeah its normal. Happened to me too, but no problem flashing any rom.
Sent from my HTC click using XDA App

If your device is rooted, just download ROMManager from marked and install recovery and ROM from there.
That's all
Everythink works great, now I have 2.2.1 in future I think of 2.3 but I'll see
Thanks for help.
Hello, I got a vivid second hand and am trying to flash it back to stock so i can get the ICS OTA. I dont mind if I lose root, here is the situation. I got it with a custom rom (rumraider 2.3.7) so I suppose the bootloader is unlocked and its rooted. Bootloader still says S-ON by the way. Now I downloaded the PH39IMG for stock ATT firmware and placed it in my sd card, but when I boot in bootloader, i dint see it checking for update files like Android phones usually do. So it doesnt detect it. How can I fix this or is there something I overlooked?
Sorry for my ignorance, this is my first HTC with the whole bootloader locking fiasco so im kinda new on how things work here.
Or if there a CMW flashable stock rom I can download (could not find) or if someone is nice enough to upload a nandroid backup of a stock rom also, id really appreciate it. I dont have access to a PC ATM so I cant do the RUU method, im looking for a way to do it on the phone itself if possible. Thanks
Are you using the PH39.img from the super guide? Also did you put it on your external sd card and on the root of the card, not inside of any folders, etc.?

I figured out what the problem is, its not detecting my external sd card. I mixed it up with the phones internal memory. Im gonna have to see if i can pick up another one to test. Wish there was a CWM GB ROM floating around or some nandroid.

I had a similar thing happen to me. When you're told to select the zip to flash, at the top of the list there should be a "0". select that and then try finding your new zip to flash in there. I'm honestly not sure why this is; hopefully someone more knowledgeable can pop in and say what happened and why the directory is like that.
Anyway, hope that helps!
Thanks !

it worked! thanks so much!
Hello I have the same problem only I am using TWRP recovery.
And I have no "0" directory.
went in, wiped EVERYTHING...re-flashed current ROM (just a stock rooted ATT deodex) and its the same thing...the current ROM I'm running shows in TWRP..
But any ROM I've transferred via PC into internal memory, or downloaded straight from the device, is completely non existent...
the "ROMs" folder I created on my PC to the external memory (where I store the ROMs for easy access) is not there either.
