Are there any so far? If it was possible to program the browser to support multi touch, shouldn't be too hard for the image gallery right?

ok, time for me to goto sleep, i missed the smiley as well lol, later guys
Haha, hmm... well I think it is safe to expect that there eventually will be one.
I hope there will be one as well
Even without multi-touch but rather a gesture based one would work. Something like the HTC Album for Windows. Drawing in a wide circle rotates the picture, drawing in a small circle will zoom. Doing reverse (counter-clockwise) does the opposite. Sliding left or right will "slide" the picture into the next.

Only problem with HTC or Gogle developing the MultiTouch capabilities would be our good friends over at Apple that would threaten to toss a lawsuit at them.

lol
If anyone hears about one being made, I would like to know about it, cause that is probably the one thing that i'd like most right now. (I already found a good music player... RockOn...and I think I'd be just plain happy with my G1 (other than dropped calls) if I had that..
Check out Slidephoto. It's pretty cool. Slides to change photos and double-tap to zoom. Doesn't rotate yet.
astro has this!

What has no one made use of this yet? http://www.mobiletechaddicts.com/2008/08/20/multi-touch-on-the-htc-diamondtouch-pro/ . Disable the stupid scroll wheel and make it so we can do stuff with both fingers.
wtf :| so cool
someone has to made a ****ing very nice program with this capabilities
it would be cool, if someone make it work for zoom, kinda like the Iphone, slide both fingers apart from each other and it zooms in, slide them in, and it zoom out, it would be great.
keep bumping til someone does somethin cool
That would be very cool!!!!
But, really. Zooming is already possible by turning your finger clockwise or counterclockwise. And also you can tap on the screen.
Maybe it would be cool with this feature but not for scrolling as I see it. So what else do apple use for it?
Also I heard that iPhone woulde have better games that use the sensor. Does it really, and what games are they?

My guess is, that's patanded by apple, which is why HTC couldn't do it themselves.
What I would love is flicking to scroll ON the left or right side under the screen... Capacitive keys would be much better at that then the touchscreen is.

patented by apple?? no, not with multitouch, they cant do that??
If that's true then that means HTC could have patented TOUCHSCREENS back in 2001 if they wanted to..
that and what about microsoft surface?
that uses multitouch.
and on election day i saw them using a touch screen that has multitouch.
Does anyone even know where to get that app from? (The one in the Video)

It looks to me that only the button panel below the screen has a capacitive sense ability, which makes it multitouch. I'd be delighted to learn that they added a capacicive sense layer on top of the normal, resistive, touchscreen, but doubt they'd do such a thing for no profitable reason.
capacitve D-Pad
What I think would be awesome - make the capacitive screen the D-pad.
right now - using right and left on the D-pad is terrible. I always hit the other shortcut keys. Why not have the capacitive screen control it...
I'd work on it - but it's WAY over my head...
I would really like to see it act like the Instinct buttons. So that you dont have to actually press the buttons just touch the surface.

Heyy Guys, I stumbled upon this rom, and someone claims that it works for Milestone, if you read further on.
Please confirm - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831144
Confirmed working on desire hd .25 rom. Very nice rom.
Download file, and simply install the dell launcher first, then install other widgets.
Yes, it works well. It actually works without changing the LCD Density setting as well, so you won't have to squint like mad.
That said, there's no advantage to using Dell's work here other than using their heavyweight widgets.
PS. This is not a rom, but a set of APKs.

Sorry about that, amateur over here... Also, the landscape doesn't work perfectly, or I guess is too small... Is there any fix for this?

Kay, thanks I'll post a screenshot soon but the essential problem is that it looks too small I guess. Basically, the bottom app drawer and the navigation buttons beside them take too much room. I guess it isnt optimized for our milestones Can someone confirm if there is another way to make the landscape look bigger and better?
Hi,
I am looking for the Desire HD a similar program as Zoomer for the HD2(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=585284 )
Zooomer enables "pinch to zoom" in the programs you want.
Any suggestion?

Yes , I don't see how I can pinch to zoom in many programs (like for example
in messages ) except when viewing pictures.

What app are you using to view pictures? The built in gallery app supports pinch-to-zoom just fine...
The OP needs an application that does pinch-to-zoom in every application. Like Messaging, etc. Not just the gallery/browser..
I looked a bit around, I really couldn't find anything similar for android.
would be very useful an application similar to pinch to zoom but there is no in the market.
it is so difficult to create;
I need too, but i cannot to find, why??? it's so difficult to create?
please somebody can to make?

I'm sorry but how is it changing things up as you say? The layout is the same as any launcher I've ever seen.
What HTC did with sense on windows mobile, now THAT is "changing things up."

Except for SenseUI is poop! Haha! I say changing things up for the preview bubble, and the fact that you can put your apps in categories.
I am surprised no one has made a lock screen where you need to use all 5 fingers to unlock. Kind of like in the commercials.

but i also want to contral my tab with 5 fingers! like they were doing showing the texts... you know? maybe for tab switch in the browser...
+1 here for this great idea!
thats the best lock screen idea in the history of lock screen ideas, would be ool if it had buttons like in the videoeo that quick linked you to several app, music Calender gmail contacts browser, all the most used, also if it was as big as one in video you could have buttons on outside ring, and a working manipulatible preview of the app button selected on inside ring, and you could scroll through each preview by rotating the lock.
I'd like that! Its like a holographic mouse!
Sent from my Xoom using XDA App
Some nice ideas here. As much as I love the vanilla experience, in terms of lockscreens Google always disappoints me. Especially with Honeycomb: The first thing I though was: Why not having, let's say, up to 5 app shortcuts around the ring (just like the "lock"). If you move your finger to the lock, you unlock. Move it to the "Music" symbol, you open your music app, move it to the "Pulse" app...you get the idea. There are so many opportunities, especially with this kind of big screen (and the support of 10 Fingers at once) that it hurts me to only see this (even though fancy) ring to unlock without further modifications.
