Ok, so after switching from Haykuro's Sapphire Port to JF's 1.42 RC33 mod so many times my apps to sd card got confused somehow and I was getting a lot of force closes. So I said to hell with it and formatted my SD card. In the process I lost Toggle Settings, a very nice app that has come a long way. Only to find out that it's not in the Market anymore!!! So if anyone has the latest apk for Toggle Settings please post it would be greatly appreciated!!!
I second that
I too lost Toggle Settings. I used it for awhile, then quit, but I do miss it. Any help would be appreciated.
Enjoy!

Both sources are 1.1.1 I need v.2.x if anyone still has it.
We now have version 2. Something or other on droidappz
Can someone post a version that has profiles and also works with 1.5 please? I miss this app the most after having to do a wipe, I have a version with profiles but it force closes all the time...

So I used this app a while back and loved it but recently I have been doing a lot of flashing and such and just wasnt using it. Now I figured I want some custom ringtones again but after downloading Rings Extended I cant change the ringtones. When I go to the picker I only have the default options and not the option of launching Rings Extended. I also cannot launch it from the Market, I get an error "Rings Extended" could not be launched. I have tried uninstalling, restarting a couples times and installing again with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
If you ever backed up your phone go into the folder where your backups are kept (on your card) and find the .apk and install it by pushing it onto your phone?!??!
Try going into "Manage Apps," scrolling down to Rings Extended, and hitting "Clear Defaults." See if that helps.
same problem here. but...NOTHING helps. i realy tried everything. looked up a lot of forums, concerning this problem...like i said. nothing works
last time i had this problem, i gave the backup a trie, but it didn't work.
so my next idea was flashing the rom again, didn't work either.
finally i wiped my phone, flashed the original 1.6 rom from HTC and then flashed the newest rom, i want to use. THAT works...and yes, it was a long long evening.
well, i gess there must be another way, too. i must admit, don't know very much about program structures and things like that. so please i guess we need a expert for this problem -.-'
thanks in advance for any helping ideas!!!
I have Cyanogen's 4.2.3.1 installed with the 2.0 Maps application and Navigation works correctly for me.
Since I installed Navigation I am getting a huge "Double tap to answer" button that pops up on my screen when a call comes in.
A) It seems to have shortened the amount of time my phone rings before sending to voicemail
B) The double tap is flaky
C) It looks like ****
I have searched Google and the forums to see if this was an issue people had but can only find people talking about the in-call unlock screen.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?
Is your navigation actually on while this is happening? If you have the little triangle above in your task bar then it is.
If you are fully exited from maps this shouldn't come up. At least it doesn't on my phone.
This happens all the time now. Even with GPS off and the Maps app not even loaded. Persists through reboots.
Odd. This happens while I have maps loaded, but not when its not loaded.
How did you install navigation?
push back our old build.prop
Will pushing back my old build.prop disable navigation?
No navigation only needs it for the install. I thought that might be the problem. Push your old prop files back and good luck!
this happend to me aswell, but i actually liked the double click - box look
that would also happen when my phone was just sitting here, no nav on, it would just light up, and have the double click box lit up.
i was on 4.2.3.1.
all that ended when i flashed cyan 4.2.4
i didnt wipe.. or fix permissions.
i installed navs from other thread [basically just the update.zip and clear data]
and everythingg works just fine. thanks to all!
I didn't know 4.2.4 was out yet but thought a Cyanogen Mod update would probably fix that issue. Reverting to my previous *.props has fixed all the issues.
You should've posted this in the Q&A section or an existing related thread.
Anyways.. To get rid of the double tap box, you need to push back the original build.props. If you do that however, you'll lose navigation in a few hours, like 6 or 7 hours.
There's already a thread about this that's named something like "unlocked features from new build.prop".

I will remember that next time. After being on here for almost 3 years I forget that the newbie youngsters like to change how we have done things here. Like one thread per issue. Thank you for the helpful link to the thread you thought I should have posted it in, great to see that XDA hasn't gone all to hell with newbie senior members who just throw out dictates and then can't even do a decent job of helping people.
use this if you are running cyanogen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583684
Heres the thread for updated features from build.prop
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583030
I just did the install with the newest cyanogen and then tried calling myself and I dont have any issues.
Also, navigation works fine.
I have a G1 with CM 4.2.4, and I'm not having the issue either. I tested incoming calls with the NAV and in maps.
I finally got Navigation -and- paid apps in Market to show, but, I am experiencing the same problem as the OP mentioned.
I don't want to lose Navigation but this is a little annoying. Someone mentioned if I put the original build.prop and build.trout.prop back, Navigation will not show up. How can we get the best of both worlds?

i swear i feel like people just post without reading anything. i posted a link to a thread that will fix your problem. look up a few posts. another member here had an update.zip that will install the maps without breaking the market, without making the weird floating box, and without any other weird problems. if you are running cyanogen it will work perfect.
the .props need to me modified to allow navigation to remain longer than a few hours. just apply the update-navigation.zip from recovery mode and it will fix your issue.

Actually I am having this same issue WITH using that .zip but for me it is no big deal. We are lucky to have Nav, I will take it with whatever problems (temporary of course) it comes with!
i had the double tap issue after i manually installed nav on wednesday. today i ran that .zip and the box is gone. i dont get why it would work for some people and not others.
the zip was actually updated 3 or 4 times. so if you applied it when it was first dropped, maybe you have an old version
This has been going on for 3 days now, and I haven't been able to find any topic on this so far.
For the last 3 days, I cant' get any market updates, or new market apps. It just says "starting download", but won't actually download. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Market App (Vending), did a wipe, nothing seems to fix this issue. I even installed a new ROM fresh.
Has anyone come across this issue? Solutions? Am I the only one?
Using Cyanmod - 4.2.12.2
Haykuro DangerSPL (Rogers)
One more Note - Noticed a comment here in the Q&A about Metamorph causing "market issues", but they don't actually describe what the issue is. I did recently install it, changed my power control widget, that was it.
Thanks for your help!
Try this;
Connect to wifi,
Cancel all downloads,
Restart all downloads over wifi.

Thanks lbcoder, had a feeling it would be you replying to my inquiry. Anyways, I had also tried that method, still nothing. Actually found the link below, people having this issue. To add to your steps they suggest to login to Google Talk. Well, that seems to be an issue as well, i can't login.

The only unusual thing in my logcat seems to be calling for low memory: No more background processes. This is a little odd, never had mem. issue's before, looking at my phone's memory usage in terminal, should be ok.
I had this issue due to my wireless router. Disconnected from the wifi and it all started working. The strange thing was browsing was working and google talk but it just would not download from the market.
Issue Update - in case others are having this issue - Back in Business
Well, I figured I ran out of options, that is options that didn't require a complete format and wipe of the phone.
I had to follow all the original steps, for installing the newest cyanogen ROM, using the HTC Dev Phone. So, after installing the HTC_DevPhonezip file from their website, applied it, applied Cyan's latest ROM, reboot...Bammm, the market is back, and downloading. Actually it ended up installing all my updates automatically. Guess it was registered through my google account, because I hadn't even installed the apps back to my ext partition yet, after installing new ROMs

Wanted to say thanks for the pointer to starting Google Talk to get my market downloads to work...as soon as I logged into Talk, my downloads started. I had re-flashed, re-formatted and basically tried everything until this simple suggestion fixed the problem. Kind of strange...but thank you!

Wow! Thanks for posting this, man. I was racking my brain... as this was the 2nd time I ran into this issue on my phone! Didn't want to wipe/reload once again.
Anyhow, I was using 'Autostarts' to pare down some of the crap that auto-starts with a standard Android build. Since I don't use GoogleTalk, I naturally killed that sucker. I guess I should've thought that it'd be tied to the Marketplace, right? Google Talk + Marketplace = logical That said, re-enabling Google Talk and restarting resolved my issue.
Thanks again!

Please don't create a new thread to ask about a ROM which already has a thread open. Search the ROM thread and then direct your questions to the ROM thread if you cannot find your answer after searching.
Mods, please close this thread.
theres over 500 pages. after a search it probably doesnt narrow it down enough to where any person would go through each post and look for an answer. i honestly dont blame him. especially since theres a lot of residual off topic stuff from older roms, its not worth searching in that thread.

Doesn't matter, this still doesn't belong in the dev forum.
I'm sorry. I am new to this posting stuff. I did not instead to upset or offend anybody. what is the rom thread can you point to it?
clear the data on sense and reboot. That fixed it for me.

I actually started a new thread on this same topic. (I missed this in my initial search)
I did go through all of the pages, and to no avail on the damagecontrol thread.
While there should be a new page for 2.09, there is not, and this is a Q&A forum. So whats the problem in asking?
Why hunt down a thread and ask for its removal while its appropriate?
How about some helpful advice?
Lots of Force Close on system functions
I'm finding that, though there are a lot of great functions to this rom, some of the base functions (most notably - PC Sync) throws force close errors:
Attach phone to PC via USB
USB Debugging comes on - no option to choose "Charge only" or "Mount as Disk Drive" etc
I go to Settings > Connect to PC
Error: application Settings (process com.android.settings) - Force Close
I'm going to try clearing data on HTC Sense... oh, it's not listed in Manage Applications.
So what now?
Thanks for any help.
First question to you guys is "Did you wipe Data, Dalvik and EXT in the recovery menu?"
Second The clock did not appeared after flash "The first post in the ROM thread specifically tell you to go to Setting/Application/Manage Application and clear data for the HTC Sense.
Third if you could not find the HTC Sense to clear the data then it must be something wrong with the flash --> Re-Wipe and Re-Flash
Most of people get into trouble is because they don't wipes when go to new ROM, second don't assume that the first flash always work. Third the file you download sometime get corrupt --> re-download and try again.
First Boot expecting to be long leave it for 15 minutes. If you have trouble sign on to google at first, just skip it. Let the ROM load then add the account under Account and sync.
If you run into trouble with data not working at first, just toggle airplane mode ON then OFF to re-initiate data connection.
Hope this help u guys.
Please be patient with my noobness, I'm still learning. I recently flashed LiquidSmooth 2.5 to my Bionic, and really really really like the interface; simple and fast. Only a few problems I can't figure out:
1. Play store won't open. I've only found one way to it, by pressing menu while looking at the app drawer, and nothing happens when selected.
2. Home button doesn't work, both the hard button and when I activate the softkeys at the bottom of the screen. Back is the only way to the homescreen.
3. I can't figure out how to have a Google account in the OS.
4. The lockscreen settings have no effect on the phone.
5. The browser won't open, and Chrome claims to be missing some files.
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?
Thanks for your help!

I figured it out, I forgot to flash gapps with it.
Now I'm not able to send any mms, I read on the development forum that a fresh flash solves this problem. Will reflashing the rom without wiping it restore the OS to the stock liquidsmooth, or will it keep my current apps and settings?
Why do you need to reflash the ROM? I believe it best to wipe everything to insure a smooth flash. Could be wrong though.
