Radio Version? - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

Hi all, could someone tell me which Radio version is best, its too many of them and i dont know which should I choose thx 4 future reply.

Depends on provider etc etc. I guess most people use 1.11.25.71 and 1.11.25.76. Just try and see which is the best for you

25.71 is the best so far.. 25.76 drains the hell out your battery.. u will be disappointed with your xperia in no time if u use 76.. i recommend 71..

New User of TYTN 2

Hi guys
tomorrow I will be the proud owner of the HTC TYTN2. Currently I own the N95 8GB and am quite happy with it...hope I will be as well with the HTC
My first aim tomorrow is to flash the new toy with one of the latest cooked roms. I have though 2 questions:
Which one do you think is the best Rom to install ?
What is this radio thing and how would I know what radio to use ?
Thanks to all.
Yikes.......
You need to do some reading...
Start here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369282
read and go out and buy a flamesuit...or read...and read more
Thanks...I already did some readings but since I live in Europe (Malta) I dont know which radio to use with say latest cube from Dutty
well then research around and maybe u'll find someone that is in ur location...or better yet just start flashing COMPATIBLE radios when u get ur phone and see which one is best for u

Touch diamond queries

sorry if i have selected a wrong section...
i am not a wm mobile user as such so might be question sound stupid
- while reading some reviews got to know that speed issue can be solved by upgrading rom (increasing chache) and all.. if yes, pls let me know how can we do that and where can find such roms
- also read that battery life is very low.. if yes, is there any solution to that. tomorrow i am planning to buy this phone. so pls guide me.
- Has it got inbuilt GPS (with navigation, voice navigation and all)? i mean, there is no need to buy separate hardware for the same.
thanks
All your answers are on here 0 use search!
But to help
It has built in GPS hardware, you supply the software (tom tom whatever(
Battery life is a couple of days on mine with latest UK stock ROM and moderate usage although you need to go through a few charge cycles to achieve the optimum
Latest ROMS are all fast - there are many to choose from
Hope this helps

If you buy your Diamond now, there is a good chance it will come with the latest ROM, in which case speed is not really an issue. If not, just register on HTC e-Club and download the latest ROM from there; it's very easy to upgrade: you just connect your phone to the PC and run the downloaded program on the PC. In 20 min you'll have the latest ROM. Since you are not a WM user, I would advise against using non official ROM's until you know better your system.
The battery gets much better after a few recharges. Also, read the tweak section on this forum. It's pretty easy to do and will significantly improve your battery life. Make sure you read all the posts so you understand better what's good for you.
The Diamond has a built in GPS. Whether it also has a navigation software is not certain. In certain countries it does, in other it doesn't. If you buy your software afterwards, there is a good chance you'll find detailed information about it on this forum.
Good luck and enjoy your new phone. You made a good choice
yes.. i used search but could not get a concrete answer as such.
anyway, i am in Mumbai, India.
GPS- If i have got the google maps wont it solve the navigation problem?
- If using wi-fi for 30 mins, calls-1 hr and games/music 20 mins.. will it last for a day atleast

what is your favorite Radio??

wich Radio do you suggest me to use ???!!
untill now im using 1.10.25.18 and many people think it has more battery power
please someone can tell me wich one to use? bec there are new ones and i dont realy know if they are better as they are new?
TY very much!!
You have to try them and see how they work for you. How "good" or "bad" a radio is depends on your location, provider, GPS app you use, the color of your shirt, etc.
For me, 1.17 works really well.
I second Harvey... Radio is fully based on your service provider... Try and use it for minimum 3 days...(to check battery drains, signal strength, call drops etc) and then decide to stick on one.
For me 1.17 works well (excellent)
PS: i forgot.... color of shirt is very important for ur Radio ROM... haha kidding...
well, flashed to 1.16 a few month ago - my previous version (ex factory, I recall) was 1.03
big improvement! 2 more bars, big improvement in the car as well
well, personally for me it goes like that..
1.10.25.18 has the best gps fix time for me
1.14 is the most stable
1.16 has not impressed me at all
Anyway, it seems to me radio version is not THAT important. You know, r2a roms are rock stable and have long battery time while r3a drain battery and freeze phones for many people

[Q] BenzROM V6 or DMod v5

Hi guys
I wanted to flash one of these two cfw on my girlfriends phone.
The thing is that I have limited time to try out both firmwares and I want to know which one you guys prefer.
Tried out both, but honestly I dont know which one to take
Both run pretty smooth in my opinion, but the rom wont be updated on her phone anymore.
Another side question if you dont mind: Is there a good way to have a better network connection for interneting or even improved battery usage??
Dont know if I should flash the Goldenkernel, since im afraid that its unstable or even unefficient.
Let me know about your experience!
Thanks in advice
Dmod V5
dmod v5 is definetly better than benz. and i tried both of them. benz is laggy.
dmod has cool features from s4. internet works great on it(if you have a good wireless router, or data plan).
battery life is very good. i got 4 days and 12 hours on it and still got 24% battery left. and i didn't use power saving.
tryed all roms for s3 mini. even cyanogenmod 10 (which is beta).
this is the best custom rom for sure.

Theres no which is better or which is not, its based on personal preference, do you want the S4 feel or just stock samsung with Benz status bar which i dont like that much so i went back to enox instead
Dont flash the golden kernel, its kinda buggy and still in early development, i recommend flashing CrossBreeder which i dont really know if it helps with lags

Possible with only phone calls, messaging and low usage of wifi/3G
Thank you for your answers!
Flashing dmod5 then,
love you guys :victory:
These topics are pointless. Ask in the ROM thread, don't create a new one just to ask a question...
Just give them both a try :good:

[Q] which Rom choose, help me

bought a V and Xperia'm thinking of putting a custom ROM, the same way I did when I had my X10 mini (a long time ago) but I'm a little out of date on the ROMs, I wonder which has better performance and that contains no Bugs , which is used more and has good comments
you should know better
Roms are a personal choice, try them for yourself and decide which is best for you.
You might as well ask which is the best pizza topping, some people love anchovies, some love pineapple, some hate pizza....you have asked the same question...
EDIT
or are you just trying to save yourself some reading...tsk
