hi,
I have a ipaq 6510 that was not use for a while. I put it to recharge a whole night, but what I get is just a blinking startup screen (that one with the hp logo and the 1.40 somethign version ...)- it's coming on for 1-2 seconds, and going off again ...
I've tried now just with the charger, without the battery, and it's showing me that the device has power, but I can't start it up.
I also tried soft/hard reset.
can anyone help ?
- I got it in bootloader mode, and after that somehow it started up
I will come back later with details if everything is working fine
If the battery voltage drops below 3.2V it will not be possible to charg the device.
go to a gsm repair shop and ask them to charge your battery.
I have this problem that when I try to boot my X1 it zooms when I press the power button but after that nothing happens!
The screen stays black and when I press the button again nothing happens...
Have to take battery out to get it to zoom again.. Still nothing happens.
When I give the X1 external power it doesn't do the zoom and it does not charge (lights dont go on)
When I keep the reset button pressed I do get in the software part where I can load ROMs... I got it started to reload the ROM for reinstallation but when it tried to boot again, again nothing...
now I cant even get into bootloader..
leave it on a charger for a few hours
Looks like you bricked your phone somehow. Sometimes it happens even if you didn't do anything to it (if you flashed a unofficial rom). Now what you can do is to sell it for parts for $20 or $30 on eBay. =) Good luck on selling.
Try with another fully charged battery.
Does not seem to be bricked...
Since I left it "on" all night and tried to take battery out and start it up..
And it worked... Got into windows but as soon as he went on standby and I tried to get it out it stayed black again. After rebooting the same thing... Stayed pitch black...
Oke when I remove the battery and press the on/off button a few times and leave it for a couple of minutes, stick battery back in there and boot it, I can get into windows..
Problem now is that after a period of a couple of minutes it crashes again and the same problem persists with rebooting, untill I do the same trick
Found out new info about the problem! When I removed the battery for a short while I could boot it and do everything but it would crash again after a short while..
I removed the battery the whole night now and it keeps working for like an hour straight now. So it depends on how long the battery got removed (strange :S)
Next to that the X1 wont charge when it's shut down... Only when I get it to boot into OS..
Hi,
Some weeks ago, after flashing/testing my cooked rom & using Task29, my TP2 was stucked on the 1st logo screen and I desesperately tried to flash a rom either using the sd card/bootloader method but it remains on 0%.
After many many tries, I was finally able to flash roms again but yesterday when I used Task29, I noticed that the progress bar flashed from 0-100% in less than 5seconds (It was very fast which is not normal). Usually this process takes at least some 20seconds to complete. After that, my phone is again stucked at the 1st logo screen.
Edit for update : Phone is working again! Don't know how but it just flashed today!! I think I have tried at least 70-100 times before it decides to start flashing!!
It's normal that task29 is a lot quicker than a regular ROM flash. Also, after the task29, it's normal that the phone hangs on the startup screen, because it hasn't got a ROM to load any more. What you need to do is put it into the bootloader (hold down the Volume Down button and press reset), wait till it comes up and says "Serial" on the tri-coloured screen, then plug into the PC and that should change to "USB".
Then you should be able to go ahead and flash a ROM. I presume you have HardSPL ? (I guess so, or task29 wouldn't have worked).
thanks for the reply. Yes, indeed I know the process of task29 since I have been flashing a lot of times. The fact is that the last time I did the task29, the progress bar completed in a flash (i mean, it jumped from 0% to 100% faster than usual). And since that, phone is stucked again at the logo screen. The last time I got this problem, I had tried to flash numerous times for 2 full weeks before the phone finally flashes a rom. Is it that task29 screwed the phone's memory/bootloader? Forgot to mention that it is a Vodaphone UK Rhod100 model.
Ah ok, sorry for misunderstanding.
I wonder if something odd has happened to your HardSPL. Is it still showing "0.85OliNex" ? I wonder if re-doing HardSPL might help ?

Yes, it's still on Olinex hardspl - can't re-do the hardspl since everything I tried is stucked at 0%.
What was the last thing that happened when the phone was still working ? You mentioned that you were testing a cooked ROM, is that your own cooked ROM ? Are you sure you haven't bricked your phone ?
Well, the problem started right after using task29 yesterday night - so the rom is not at fault because I flashed the same rom many times before. Phone also was working fine (never dropped or no damages - still in mint condition). What do you mean by "bricked your phone"?
What I was wondering is whether you cooked your own ROM yourself, and this is somehow responsible for the current state of your phone (e.g. by cooking in something damaging to the phone). But it sounds like this isn't the case.
Previously, some people have reported problems like this when there's a USB problem. Have you tried a different USB cable, just to see if that helps ? Or looking very closely at the pins of the USB connector on the phone to see if they could be damaged ?
You mention that flashing by SD card doesn't seem to work either. Have you had that working ok before ? Because sometimes it can be sensitive to the make of SD card, as well as how it's formatted.
thanks for the advices, steviewevie. I really appreciate All the usb pins seems to be in good condition and yes, I've tried 3 different usb cables but to no avail. If there were a problem with the pins, I believe that the phone would have problems to sync with the computer and I did not encounter this situation in the past. I assume the usb is ok.
As for the cards, I have only used Transcend ones formatted to Fat32 - never tried to flash using sd before until I got this problem.
Try searching for some details on the "mtty" tool. It might be that you can use that to help - mtty gives you some commands you can use to the bootloader.
Already tried the commands from "The DEFINITIVE MTTY Thread!!" before and phone is still stucked. Anyone can help please??
Please help me too!!
I do task29 when it finished it's show 1st boot screen,Then i pull the battery out.(Finished Every process of Task29)
1 hour later,I want to flash new rom.I try to enter bootloader,it can't and i try to turn on my Rhodium too.I think that battery out of power then i go to charge it.

sounds to me that it could be the battery is out of power. Maybe try to leave the battery in with the power cable for a short period of time and see if you can turn it on and flash the rom.
yes,the charge light is on.but 3-5 minutes of charging.it's wake and show 1st boot screen and turnoff itself.again and again too.
Before i do task 29 battery has 46 %.i think the battery left power about 30%.

Thats definitely a issue with the battery, Not enough power is getting to your battery maybe after a bad flash or something you did wrong.
I seen a similar issue when my battery was dead and I tried charging it via usb the device would turn on then loop n turn itself off . 5, 10 mins later it did the same thing. . .
Is my battery dead yet?
If i buy a new one,Does it work? Or How to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance

Do you know anyone with the same phone as you that could charge your battery ? Otherwise you might need to buy another battery. I would have *thought* that a new battery would be charged, but this is only a guess, and it might depend where you buy it from. I don't suppose you have a lot of options though.

By the first boot screen you mean the HTC screen? Then you did something wrong. Then it's normal that the phone would reboot or turn itself off.
Are you sure you try entering the bootloader the right way? Keep volume down + power on button pressed until you see the bootloader. I mean really keep them pressed until the bootloader shows up.
I can't enter to bootloader and I can't turn on my phone without charger.
**CAN'T USE USB CHARGER TO ENTER BOOTLOADER TOO
That i told from last post i charge my phone and 3-5 minutes it's show 1st boot screen [HTC] and turnoff itself.I charge it for 6 hours then i try to turn it on,it can't.it like battery out of power.I think my battery is dead
Thanks all reply XD
Hello,
I have tried to flash my BA from WM2003SE to WM6.x following the instructions in
http :// forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5456317&postcount=6 but it got hung on the very beginning of the flash process. My BA would got frozen in bootloader (USB/SERIAL and 2.06 on screen). As it was late night I decided to continue the next day, leaving the BA off craddle. In the morning, the screen was completely black and off (it had 100% of battery when I flashed it). I put the device into the cradle and plugged USB to my PC (Win XP) but no USB device appeared in the system, the BA screen is still off and black, the top right LED of BA is still on, red color (switches off when BA is off cradle).
I have tried soft reset, hard reset, several times, holded down the buttons for approx. 30sec while reseting, nothing helped. I have tried to charge the device for about three hours on the craddle, tried to reset again, but no success, the device would not come back to life (nor to the bootloader).
anybody has a suggestion?
thanks
Sileng
PS: Futile to say I have been through this forum to search if somebody had a similar problem.

When you the BA let into bootloader will the battery complete empty load it and follow my installation in the PDF's!!! You have Win7 right or Vista so you must replace the standard driver with the driver from PDF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: BA will load battery when LED is Red or Orange!
Hi d-two, thanks for your fast response. I am not sure if I understand it right though. You mean that it is just my batt that is empty, which obstructs the bootloader to star? By now it has been about 4 hours it is being charged (the red LED shining still, not flashing) and so far no way to bring it back to life. Do you think I should charge it for much longer or it is another problem?
thanks a lot, have a nice day
Sileng
Finally got it working after hours of trying. The key was just to keep repeating the flashing process and after several failures it finally worked. Now I have d-two's WM6.5 on my BA working as a charm. Thanks d-two! It is really impressive!
