So I've been wondering. I accidently keep hitting archive on my email messages through the Gmail app. They dissapear and go into an archived folder I would only assume.
But I cant find them from there. Not that its a huge deal, but i'd kind of like to know. How do I get back to them and delete them?
** Found it! sorry for the waste of space!

Noticed something yesterday with my POP3 Gmail account.
When I received an email, there's a link to download the entire message. I click it and it goes into a state that says it will download the rest of the message next time I receive email.
So, I hit the send/receive option and, sure enough, the entire message is loaded.
I finish reading the entire message and go back to the inbox. After a few moments, the email goes away. At least I think it does. I looked in the deleted folder, not there.
I increased the Message download limit to Entire Message so I won't have to go thru this.
Does anyone know why the message would be removed after downloading the entire message and then reading it? Where did the message go?
I have the same problem also with gmail its giving me errors saying my settings are wrong but I haven't touched anything
I'm seeing this as well. Although it doesn't always happen. Any fix yet?
It's a known issue and hope google will fix it soon
Try recent:[email protected] instead of just [email protected] not 100%

oh i love you. i setup another account and told it to use automatic setup. it put the "recent" there and I removed it. I will try.
I wish google would create a setting to let me pop only what gets in to my inbox. If something gets labeled out of there, I don't want it down to my phone.
Hi guys i have v recently got a vario 3 and i am not very clued up on its uses as yet, i was hoping for a little help?
I want to use my googlemail on my handset and i have allowed the phone to check for auto settings. this has been done and then nothing appears in the inbox.
At first i thought it was because it wont show old messages however it doesnt show new either.
I have tried to send and email from the phone to myself and it sends fine and will come up on my laptop but it will not show on the phone? Can anyone help with this at all??
Any advice would be appreciated?
Ah so its a bug ..... I thought I was going mad!
Hello all,
I'm using the Shogun WM6 Threaded Messaging app. I have recently received some extremely important text messages that must be retained. I do, however, have an insatiable addiction with flashing new ROMs.
I am trying to figure out where the messages are stored so that I may copy them to my storage card. I know there are apps like PIM Backup, but I'm not sure if they're compatible with the Palm-style threaded messaging. I would think that this app changes the actual storage location of the messages...
Any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated.
Thanks!
I have resolved this issue!
You can back up your messages by copying a file called "PalmMsgV001" from the \Windows\ directory to any place on your Storage Card. You can restore your messages by copying the file back over to the \Windows\ directory after flashing a new ROM.
way to search the forums this was covered 59595959595959993493939 times already
Not only did I try searching the forums using Google and XDA (found nothing), but I actually figured this one out on my own through trial and error.
Thanks for your helpful reply.
Here is a better solution for you.. i am going to get with the developer and have something added to this little app, but check this thread...

Well I am using Direct Push with my Tilt and and I have it set up in my "inbox" there are many subfolders for indivdual employees or what not. But it seems to only alert me that I have new mail only in the main "Inbox" folder.
For example I have within the inbox folder a folder called "Backups" so that way every night the server emails me and lets me know if it completed succesfully. Each morning when the server sends out the report it gets moved right away to the backups folder within the inbox. The problem is my phone doesnt let me know that I have (1) unread message on my today screen. Is there a mod or a setting that I am missing, it seems weird that it wouldnt notify me.
You need to search. This has been discussed many, many times. The answer is no, it can't be fixed. If you want the notifications, don't move emails out of the inbox.

Click to collapse
Well actually I figured out how to make it work. I have tried a lot of different Today plugins and the only one I found that actually lets you choose what folders are displayed and updated is SPB Diary. So actually you can do it, just thought I'd let everyone know
but of course I could not find the answer I want to do a one time transfer of a text message from my captivate to my pc , I don't want to always back up all my text messages or sync it to Google- I just want to save the funeral announcement for my stepfather text that was sent to all family members nationwide to give details of when and where it will be held-some my think it is morbid but i was there when he took his last breathe and for some reason I feel I need to save that text
I know there will be people stating use the search button and i have but have not been able to find an answer i also tried all the search engines and cannot find a free app that I can use once- I don't know maybe it's part of the mourning process as this just happened so I would appreciate any help
thank you,
Harry

long press on the message> copy text> paste to txt file> save > copy to PC.
or
forward message as email to yourself
thanks all, will just use simplest option as TRussello said just going to email it to my self
or screen shot and send it to your pc
Sorry for your loss. You could use an app called "SMS Backup". This save all your txt msgs and allow you to restore the msgs after reloading your phone.
Hi there, recently got this brilliant device
anyway I accidently start sending a V-Card via sms (a contact), and did not cancel, simply quit the app. now whenever I open the messaging app there is a Draft conversation, that i cannot delete.. (other threads I long press and then I can delete.. allready checked..) anyway would like to know how I can get rid of that sticky thing
thanks in advance!
EDIT: apperantly, under the settings there is a "draft" box, there you can manage and delete drafts
