Radio Rom Links In This Forum ????

I remember seeing links for different version of radio Rom that someone posted after building the cooked rom. For the life of me I searched all over and can not seem to be able to find it. If anyone would be kind enough to link me.....Thanks

I too downloaded the latest ROM (I believe from the Hermes site). Could you tell me the specific steps on how you went about upgrading just the Radio part. What utility did you use and did your phone need to have Olipro Hard-SPL prior to upgrading the Radio ROM

To be on the safe side this is what i did
I did use the Olipro unlocker which were on this sticky thread, I did not use his later version

Then I use this program to just to make sure the SIM and IPL/SPL were unlocked completely

After that everything was good to go. Just hook your phone up to active syn and run. When it ask what IPL/SPL you have just pick 1.04 and let the process run on its own.

The links you send me was for Olipros Hard SPL and then something to check if the phone is unlocked
I have an unlocked phone already with an unbranded ROM. My question is to upgrade "Just" the Radio ROM what did you use. Was is it a Kaiser utility or was is it CustomRUU.
Please give me specific steps "Post" your unlock process and ROM upgrade to perhaps a branded or unbranded ROM.
Also to others reading this thread if you have an unlocked and unbranded ROM in your current TREO how to just upgrade the Radio ROM
To be specific I have V2.27 RWE ROM which put in 1.54.01.00 Radio and need to upgrade to either the AT&T 1.54.07.00 Radio or 1.54.30.10 Hermes Radio. Any links on the various Radio differences. This should be a sticky

i used the kaiser one. No radio is "the answer" it is all based on your carrier and where you at. Radio Rom is all about personal trial and error.

well don't install 1.54.30.10.
once you do, theres no going back.
personally i find 1.54.07 and 1.54.01 to do the best job.

How & where to find correct Official RUU

I don't know, which is the correct RUU for my phone and where to find it.
The phone detail is,
Bootloader:
IPL 4.24.0002
SPL 4.24.0000
About:
Windows Mobile 6 Professional
CE os 5.2.1622 (build 18128.0.4.4)
Device Information:
Rom : 4.24.720.3 WWE
ROM date : 01/17/08
Radio version : 03.12.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.56
ExtROM version : 4.24.720.103
I searched in the following places,
1) Official Herald Updates : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Herald_Upgrades
Couldn't find the one for 4.24.720.3 WWE . Can I use any of 4.xx.xxx.x wwe ???
2) Index of ftp://[email protected]/Uploads/Herald/Official WM6 roms/

It lists many roms but none of them is 4.24
3) All WM6 / WM6.1 Roms:

4) 2 CDs came along with the phone does not contain anything like that.
5) I couldn't even find a thread which explains about the correct RUU (may be I didn't use proper criteria).
By the question you understand that I am new to flashing. I don't want to brick the phone.

what is the branding on your phone? Is it a tmobile wing, xda terra or whatever?

It is HTC P4350.
Purchased and using in India.
Not bought from any service provider.

Then register on the ECLUB and find the downloads section.

I am a member already. But in worldwide section, not in India section. In worldwide section I could find the updation to WM6 and someother hotfixes. No other RUU.
Its not letting me to open another membership in India section. Is it necessary to login to the respective country site??
Anyway I have sent mail to HTC. Let me see what they have to say.

I went ahead to download the WM6 upgrade file. When I enter the s/n it shows
"Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."

You need to register your unique phone on the site with the IMEI code. Being member @ HTC isn't enough.

I did register my phone. (It asked the s/n, but not IMIE). Still I could not find the RUU in the download section.

I registered in the HTC worldwide section. And HTC email service has replied me as following
"We would like to inform you that world wide section and India website link is same."
I am not able to find the RUU in the HTC E-club, XDA-developers wiki page and FTP page.
If I am not wrong, I do not have the correct RUU means I can not flash my device . I don't want to waste my device with the stock rom. Can someone please help me.

This is a bad news for me.
I'll wait till I get the original rom.
(I have to be happy with the stock rom itself. I don't want to take much risk.
These PDAs are still costly over here. I can not afford to buy one more.)

Well, if you've read all the threads and all the wiki and understood them, I'm surprised you need to know were to go now!!
Best place to start if your looking to flash a new rom, is to read up on the particular rom you want in its thread and then try it out. But if you've already read up on these you would surely already know that, no?
To flash any new rom or radio you gonna need either USPL or HSPL. Info on these in the wiki (which you've already read) and also in cRaCKwHoRe's guide in my signature.
The best way to know which is best suited for you is to read up on each and try them out!!

Hello,
Congrats ! and welcome to the club.
1. I would suggest you to Go through all the WIKI Documents to understand what is Flashing and other Technical Terms.
2. At least try to learn about HSPL, USPL, and Radio Etc.
3. After reading all this ask yourself whether you are comfortable syncing the Windows Mobile with your computer.
4. If you are ready, then really ask yourself whether you need to flash the Cooked Rom or better to stick with Shipped Rom.
If you made up your mind to go for Cooked Rom. All you need is to use HSPL or USPL and flash the desired cooked Rom.
Infact everyone was noob before they try including me… So cheers and Happy Flashing
Note: I preferred to use HSPL 1.56 and Dutty’s 3.3 cooked Rom.

not want to Offend you,please Develop a good habit,before post thread,search the forum for impossbile answers with keyword,read the Tutorial in the forum
First :go toTri-color screen to Ensure your touch hd is unlocked,if not you must unlock first
Second:if you want to use wm6.5,you must make your spl update to 1.56
Third:download the rom ,then use tools to flash the phone

Asking people to give you an opinion on the best ROMs is against forum rules. Not to be a stickler, but as it is peoples opinions, there are likely to be many different views as to which ROM is best. The best thing is to read this thread to be sure you have set up your phone correctly. You have 2 choices, either going the USPL or the HSPL route. You will see the pros and cons of each route in the thread.
I would also suggest reading the ROM threads in this forum where you will get a sense of how well the ROM is working ie any major bugs (or not) and then try a few of them yourself and see which one suits your needs best.

i still do not understand why opinionated posts are forbidden but anyway. until this thread gets closed, here is my opinion:
check out miri's rom because it has been very stable for a long time and a day after a new build is available you will get an updated rom.
just make sure that you also flash the latest radio rom.
prior to flashing make sure that you install hspl on your device.
for everything you need (hspl, radio, wm6.5 rom) there is a link in my signature.

[SOLVED] Help with upgrading

Hi, I would like to upgrade my phone to the latest ROM / Windows 6.5
My phone have:
SPL-1.54.0000
ROM version: 1.56.405.1 (43972) WWE
Can someone point me in right direction?
P.S. I'm new to this.

I would advice to upgrade to SPL 1.56+ and than flash one of the roms already cooked by the chef's. Use the method that they advice. usually its pretty straight forward. You unpack the zip/rar and find two files in. execute the exe while your blackstone is connected in active sync to your pc and follow the steps. you must have at least 50% battery. I use Energy roms v21916 which are the most stable ones in my opinion but thats for you to find out... gl

CAn you point me to post that descibes updating to SPL 1.56+? I managed to install coocked ROM on SPL 1.54 using USPL route but I'm guessing SPL 1.56 is newer / faster / better so it would be really useful to upgrade to this version. Can you tell me how I can do it?
